Unpopular opinion: Hag is the worst killer to play as and is not powerful as many claim to be
I don't understand why many people think Hag is a killer that's S tier or A tier. Every time I'm up against her she rarely gets more than one kill and she is so undeniably terrible at chasing.
At least trapper is 115% and with Hag, you can run her for miles and never get hit. She places a trap? Ok cool just keep running to another loop she won't be able to catch up. She's carrying a survivor? You bet your ass that I'll trigger most of her traps before she gets a chance to teleport.
Sure at low MMR where survivors don't know how to crouch when unhooking she's powerful. But most of the time she gets destroyed by boon totems considering hag mains never chase for a long time.

Watch some comp DBD how is she played at tournaments. Pretty much S tier in right hands

Legit haven't seen a good hag for over a year now. At this point even God nurses are more common than a God hag.

She's always been a pubstomper. Her ambivalence is that she's a pure 1v4 killer. If only 1 survivor doesn't play the correct strategy, the team is doomed. If they all stick to the plan, she can't do ######### all about it. If they do, she literally doesn't have a power.
Her big weakness is resets and holding w out of her web straight from where you came. Coh basically encourages correct counterplay in pubs now.
Once upon a time. She's disappearead in most high-tier leagues. They're trying to bring her back, but I've seen proposed rulesets with up to 25 survivor perks banned and mandatory shrouds just to give her a semblance of a chance. Pubstomper. Always has been.

It's heavily dependant on if the survivors know how to play against her. I play Hag fairly often and if even one suvivor is constantly harassing you and setting off your traps sensibly then it makes life a lot harder for Hag.
If none of the survivors know how to play against her it's an easy 4k most times.

A lot of people consider her S tier because she's a solo queue stomper, which is fair considering most teams you'll face are solos. Just a bit of coordination ruins her.

She can easily stomp solo queue because there's no communication to destroy her web of traps.

Hag is extremly powerfull in the right hands.
I rarely lose as her.

Completely disagree. A good hag is easily as good as blight even.

She is no way weak. However she has such a unique gameplay style that is kinda boring to me and maybe to other players too si that is why she is not that popular. She is not a chase killer. You set up your traps and patrol the area. That's it.

The moment someone takes the burden of messing with all her traps while being semi-competent at looping, she's done. If your team can do gens, the Hag loses. The exception is, of course, the extremely rare, old-gen Shiny Pokémon levels of rarity Hag like Michi. And even then I feel like if I have a decent briefing with my SWF (if I'm in a SWF, the single harasser idea works in solo too) then I think we have a big chance of winning.

Hag is overrated yes she is probably B tier. All killers is strong if you don't counter their power and solos seldom have anyone running towards the killer to se if it's a set up killer. So Hag is very strong against most solo groups.

I place traps randomly in dead zones and somehow it works. I have been playing her since release and my favorite version of her is nurses calling, monitor and abuse, sloppy butcher, and BBQ. I can see healing before they can hear me and for some reason, people do not realize how close I am. It can be tough sometimes but she is a blood point machine.

I never considered her s tier. S tier killers usually have the whole toolkit (meaning most or all strats can be countered by them) Hag does not fit that bill. Yes if you are a Hag master your very strong but its like that for a lot of killers. Solo q stomper? That can be anyone 😄

Watch Michi play Hag some time, you’ll notice some things he does to counter the above
- He doesn’t typically chase survivors, instead he places traps in ways that they can chain together. So a trap goes off, he gets a hit, the survivor runs and they straight into a different trap further away. The only “chasing” he normally does is to steer the chase toward a trap, he rarely chases people for extended periods
- Michi slugs all the time. Winning with four slugs is common for him. So if your strategy is to wait for a carry and set off traps you can end up just getting slugged too. He’s also constantly resetting and placing new traps, and he sometimes intentionally places them deceptively when he thinks he’s being watched, such as placing one in view of a survivor then a different one when he’s hidden that the survivor won’t know about, so they set off the obvious one but get suckered by the hidden one.
Basically Hag has a surprisingly high skill ceiling since playing her really, really well requires a ton of map and survivor awareness. It’s not just about rapidly randomly hitting teleport to get lunges.

Hag can be considered a "power spike" killer.
At the start of the game she's basically a no power 110% killer.
But if she manages to keep survivors injured and trap all relevant places she gets a huge power spike and can snowball even experienced survivors in a matter of seconds.
However an aggressive team will try and deny said power spike by popping traps when Hag carries someone to the hook or by using a flashlight (which doesn't necessarily mean that Hag will lose).

What about playing against a coordinated 2 man SWF (or just good survivors) harassing her the entire game whilst others are on gens? One survivor is always there to immediately set off any traps for the person being chased. I do this with my brother I normally play with.
If the Hag has time to setup and no one realizes its a Hag yet she does have an advantage. But if you find her and harass her quickly, she's going to have a hard time, right? Also just to say I don't mean "harass" as in BM. I just tend to play aggressively against good Hag's because once she's in control and has someone hooked, it's very difficult.

Yeah, basically every killer is a "solo queue stomper", but Hag is probably the best killer in exploiting solo queue biggest weakness (lack of coordination).

If Space Coconut were here he would probably object to this thread but he has probably migrated to vhs. As many others are probably going to when it releases.

She is a high skill ceiling killer and in good hands she's a monster, but yeah she's absolutely horrible to play against.

Bruh, hag is bad on chases because you're not supposed to chase with her. she is a hit and run killer, she excels at defending something, a hook, a tri-gen, a totem etc. you clearly don't know how to play her, she probably has the most unique playstyle of all the killers, and using her power properly is almost as difficult as the nurse. It's true, an organized team or circle of healing steps on it, but she still has absurd potential.

Try the Endgame Hag: No Way Out, Blood Warden, NOED, Rancor.
whatever sheet they pulled on you whole game, you're going to dish it back tenfold, all at the same time.

I disagree. Hag can be S tier in the right hands. She takes a lot of skill and map knowledge, and it can take a long time to learn how to use her power effectively.

Hag is not a chaser and will have a lot of loops shut down as far as trapping near a hook goes good hags only place 1 leading to a hook and not right on top of it
0 -
The second you chased as Hag is the second you misplaced, horribly.

Basically this.
IMO the game drastically changes once the Hag gets the first Hook.

She's an...odd killer. My absolute favorite but a bit behind the current meta.
A few thoughts.
- She is incredibly reliant on snowballing and can do so rapidly. I'll often lose 2-3 gens with 1 or 2 hooks then cascade the pressure in the midgame.
- CoH really hurts her sometimes, as it does all attrition based killers.
- Good survivors know how to play around her, safely detonating traps etc.
- Her addons are sort of boring, some of them are basically useless.
- Her early game may be the weakest of the entire roster.
- She's very streaky - if you fail to snowball, you'll get 4-outed. If you snowball, it can be an easy 4k. There isn't much middle-ground with her.
- Her playstyle can be really clunky and is certainly not for everyone.
I'd strongly disagree. Hag is incredible against teams that don't know how to play against her. Unlike Blight though, she can be played around and totally dominated. CoH/Overcome amounts to a pretty solid Hag counter.
Most of those are kind of outdated. Watch some of Otz's recent Hag games - he sometimes crushes and sometimes gets crushed. She's...streaky.

She can be strong, but like Trapper, all it takes is someone destroying the web of traps which you can't do anything about because you're not everywhere at once.
2 -
hag is extremely strong but requires game knowdlege to do good wit her, mecahinically she is not hard to play at all but requires to have good mechanics and make good decisions
