Why aren't z walls more towards the middle of the map and what's the point of them?
I see z walls in most of the maps I play in and I always wondered how good they are and why they aren't in the middle of the map like other tiles? Any ideas as to why? Are they just really overpowered?

It's for the lithe gamers

Lmao don't do them like that, you're gonna have this guy running the z wall infinite every game now

They're there to make you feel infinitesimally less hopeless when you realize you've run into the corner of the map and you're two seconds away from being zoned to death.
It's basically a placebo effect.

Its because of the loop money system. It prioritizes placing stronger loops in more common places while one of the cheapest loops, the 'z' wall, fills in the surrounding dead zone edges.
It is notoriously known to be an infinite for killers that do not mind game.

Which is exactly why it needs to be nerfed

Z walls and other single square/tall rectangle pieces of walls on the outside of maps are good against nurse when holding W and provide some loss of los.. Its actually tricky for nurse players to blink and follow up with an m1/ second blink when the survivor can just go around the other side of the single wall or time the vault from the z wall very quickly..
