Let Killers Place their Hexes Like Survivors place their boons
Why not let a killer place their own hexes. Since clearly killer perks are just soo much stronger than boon totems (sarcasm) you can even keep one per totem but having no control on our placement as a killer while survivors can just pick an amazing spot and not even worry when it gets cleansed is kind of sad.

I don't think buffing Hexes is the right call. Totems spawn should be reworked to be more fair and balanced and maybe add a Token system to Boons

Hex perks are fine where they’re at. Boons are also fine other than COH.

Hexes and boons are not the same mechanic, they shouldn't and don't have identical functions.
Totem spawns are a problem right now, but the solution is to fix them (as well as to nerf CoH), not to fundamentally change the way hexes function.

You mean you got time to spend 14 seconds to hex a totem?
You'd also just have the Trapper problem of survivors seeing you place your hex and the cleansing it as soon as you leave.
