survivor queue times are more than 4 minutes? have a ash 4 killer with 2 perks while you are iri
This happens all the goddamn time, BHVR fix your ######### broken MMR system or just remove it FFS

I honestly don't think MMR is the problem. I think balance and the overall feel off the game is the issue.

The issue isn't the MMR system.
As things stand, at certain points in the day survivor queues can be so long that it results in bonkers matchups for both sides. Hell, 4 minutes is nothing - I've finished an entire episode of Bob's Burgers while waiting one morning.
The problem is that there aren't enough killer players to fill the role.
9 -
whenever I play killer I wait less than 10 seconds, every killer quits.
2 -
Alot of players are not playing Killer at the moment due to balance issues.
When players wait in queues after a time i matches you with whomever has been waiting the longest, regardless of mmr.
So you'll find silver survs into red killers simple because they have been waiting for 7 minutes, and vice versa.
Most Killer main players, think the role is a crap spot at the moment and wont touch it.

My last survivor queue was over 10 minutes, and I've had worse.
My killer queue is typically less than 30 seconds.

killer is instant for me, survivor is always a few minutes
4 -
gee i wonder why the killer population dipped in the last few patches
17 -
Yeah, when I am playing killer, I am pretty much moving from match to match.
When I am playing survivor, I usually have my laptop open and am surfing the net or something between games. Hell, virtually all my positing here is done while sitting in survivor queue (like right now).
The fewer people play killer, the worse this is going to get.

For me (eu) it is time of the day.
Surv instant during the day, killer takes longer. Killer instant at night, surv takes longer.
4 -
Yes, my killer queues are very fast. 90 seconds max offpeak (survivor has gone above 15 minutes before!) and basically instant peak (survivor at 2-5 minutes usually).
Even with room for 4 in a game, there just aren't enough killers around. And that's going to be a difficult problem to solve.
3 -
Same here.
2 -
For me, everything goes way faster playing during the day, which is nice (unfortunately I have a day job, so only get a couple days a week where I can) But I have never seen a day where surv is faster than killer.
Also, the general level of competition seems to be way lower during the day (especially on weekends when the kids are on).

I tried to play killer in early morning one time and couldn't find a game at all. Just gave up after a while and played survivor.

Yes, maybe many main killers left the role or the game because is unbalanced 🤷♂️

I see these type of posts on the Steam forum yet no one could provide evidence of these so called 4 minute Survivor queues.
Is it SWF or solo? Because people were being very picky about the videos I posted as evidence of the contrary.
I have to make sure I don't hurt anyone's feelings.
Survivor has always been longer at night and faster during the day. This has never changed over the years at least here in the U.S.
MMR or boons did not change that. Frustrating? Sure. But the overall health of the game is still fine.

Survivors have gotten the easy and fun games they’ve been asking for with broken boon perks, broken map design, unnecessary killer nerfs, etc. Now they are also getting the consequences of what happens when you make one side miserable and stressful to play. I play both sides about evenly, and killer is zero fun once you get up to a certain MMR level. Survivor queues aren’t too bad during the day because there are more solo queue players and killer isn’t as bad to play. At night when it’s all SWF teams, nobody wants to play killer.

MMR is ######### and should be removed because the system doesn't work, that being said it's not the problem like others have stated here with que times...
My killer ques are always instant, my survivor ques usually take a few minutes and this is me playing solo. Survivor just feels better to play 90% of the time unless you are playing at lower MMR.

Hey man I'm playing killer right now, just doing my part to lower the queue times. I hard camp and tunnel and run NOED though now
2 -
If I remember I'll record one in the morning and upload it somewhere. Early morning queues routinely start at 5 minutes and can go 4x that long (although, to be fair I think they've updated something to prevent this).

Occasionally it'll take me around 10 minutes to find a Survivor queue. No one wants to play Killer anymore with all the balance issues.

I think is the event the snowman are really a pain. If you hit them you go through your full successful attack animation and that the event for the killer. Survivors can at least jump in the snowman and mess around.
1 -
Adding an event that basically does nothing at all for killers but make their games less fun, and only gives survivors fun things to do, probably wasn't a good idea for trying to alleviate these complaints.
There is some mysterious group of people who also assert the queues are NOT long and everyone is making it up. Even though you could just go to twitch and watch streamers playing survivor and getting long queues. Even the big streamers experience it.

They COULD'VE fixed the killer fake-out feedback from getting denied a hit at pallets. Instead, they doubled the problem by applying the same broken code to one of the most over-used survivor perks.
At a certain point, priorities become too obvious to deny.

It's definitely a problem right now. My friends and I feel bad. Getting a lot of killers without full load outs. One even got zero hooks the entire game.
It's not even a balance issue. Good killers can definitely win consistently. Killer just often feels unfair even if it isn't.
1 -
Welp sorry survivors but to be honest with how the game's balance and such is right now you kinda deserve the longer times since most people who want to play killer either quit or lobby hop constantly to try and not deal with the bullshit meta
7 -
Yeah it happens because they refuse to nerf broken unenjoyable additions like boon totems, and then release an event that only survivors get to participate in while the killers just have to serve as a punching bag.
2 -
I still have yet to see anything but anecdotal evidence of killers leaving en masse other than killers that are burnt out of the game on here/reddit. Reddit and these forums are not good representations of the community imo.
This has been my experience as well, US East for the past year, other than dlc release days when both queues are long for a couple of days. Last year around October were the worst for my queues, where it was long 5-10 minute on both sides.

Grades mean nothing.
An ash 4 can be a better player than an iri 1. Grades just shows how much they may of played that month and still doesnt do a great job of that.
Please remember grades and MMR are separate.

If I dont find a gane in 2-3min then I just quit playing. Have better things to do than waiting in a lobby.
EU server, morning surv is fast, killer slow, evening is the other way around

Its funny, how all (survivors) like to pronounce, grades dont matter, mmr is what matters, there is skill based and then new topic opens: soloQ is so bad. Decide now?
new player meets iri 1 and it doesnt matter. but ur mmr is always not compactible with soloQ hell?!
0 -
please remember that If I am iri adn they are ash 4 and only have 2 perks they are most likely pretty new to the game, just common sense

I own this game since release with 300 hours played and don't play much every month.
A nice grade rainbow only missing ash and the match would've been skillwise okay if I werent a friendly killer not aiming to kill but for 8hooks/deaths and max BP.

Basically this.
My survivor queue times have always been instant during the day, even with crossplay off.
