hex: piemento question
hi there,
considering that the Artist has just came out, reading her perks is a must. however, her hex is confusing me. on the actual game, the description reads:
'you can perform a ritual on a destroyed totem to rekindle it as a hex totem for hex: pimento bread'.
but the dbd wiki says:
'You can perform a ritual on a cleansed Totem to resurrect it as a Rekindled Totem.
The more Rekindled Totems you create, the greater their effects'.
so if i use say, hex: pimento bread, hex: ruin, hex: undying, hex:haunted grounds, will this mean that the hex totems are blocked by the entity because there are 5 hex totems on the map? or are rekindled totems different to hex totems and the game's wording is wierd.

No what it means is if all 5 totems are cleansed you can bring them back as rekindled totems and each totem rekindled has a effect
1 totem=30% gen slowdown
2 totems=30% healing slowdown
3 totems=30% recovery slowdown
4 totems=30% slower exit gate opening
5 totems=all totems are blocked by the entity and can never be cleansed again

This perk is a joke since every match has boons now. It should work on boon totems to be actually useful.

How would you ever get to 5 totems though? The survivors will cleanse them long before then.

You're not supposed to aim for 5 totems lol. All you want is the first and second benefits. The fifth one is just a fun thing to do, I got it once but you basically threw the game at that point

Yeah. It is kind of like an the Exodia meme with 5 pieces.
However if you are aiming for this then Hex: Ruin with Hex: Plaything and BBQ are your best shots. Let them destroy all totems, hook everybody once and then summon the all mighty Pentimento!

Run hex plaything and pentimento. Wait for all 5 totems to be cleansed then quickly rekindle all 5 totems as fast as you can so you can block the totems

I’d love to see Hex Pentimento be able to transform a Boon into a Hex. Then it goes to the survivor’s court - do they get into a tug of war over that particular totem, changing it back and forth, or do they cleanse the Pentimento totem and it gets removed from the game entirely so neither side benefits from it.

Also, rekindled Totems look a bit different. They have a slight red'ish tone within the flames while hex totems are just yellow flames.

They should just make it so that stomped totems are broken.

seconded. if hex totems are broken and disables a perk when cleansed, surely the boon: i dont need to bring a medkit or boon: remove how a killer sees in a chase should work the same.

Probably. He would sell his own Scourge Hook: Mild Infruiration to Artist to get her Pain Renaissance.
