Haddonfield is extremely overrated.
No way in hell is Haddonfield anywhere near the best map for survivors. Everybody complains about it but there isn't anything on it that's very good at all. There are a few good things about it like a couple good pallets but almost every map has those.
Heights are generally bad for survivors because of the fall stun and it's a very vertical map. Maybe back in the day it was better when balanced landing was OP but without that it's really not good. Badham is better in basically every way. It's bigger, has more safe pallets, has better buildings, and an amazing main building.

Sure, I mean every house is pain and can sometimes spawn infinites, but sure. Oh yeah, and the great walls of china and all the safe pallets, and the massive size of the map...
But yeah, I guess it is just overrated and I just need to play killer better.

If its so overrated, then why do i see haddonfield offerings so many times? its like the most common in my experience. There can potentially be some nasty windows and pallet spawns on this map with good rng. On top of that its to f `ing large.

You make good points and Badham is just as bad if not worse than Haddonfield for Killer. It´s not overrated though, you can run an M1 Killer very easily for several gens.

It's a good window, yes but not an infinite or even close. Many other maps have windows just as good, the only reason why that window is particularly good is because there isn't a breakable wall yet.

The Problem with Haddonfield are Myers House and the House of fun, both beeing available super easy and from almost everywhere. Myers house with the God window is pretty much a god loop and the house of fun combined with the porch/tree loop in between those 2 houses is also very strong.

The map is gigantic, has a bunch of safe windows and pallets, the infamous house of pain, and the Myers house. Bring a Strode Key and Balanced Landing, loop the killer in the Myers house, and it'll be a living hell for them.
The only killers that can actually handle Haddonfield well is Trapper (sometimes), Wraith (surprisingly), Nurse, and Hag (maybe). Maybe a few more, but meh.

I agree. Theres really only 2 loops that are safe the house of pain and main building, the rest take like 2 mind games for a hit.

Exactly. The window is a problem because it is so safe without a wall. Also assuming rng the house of pain is essentially an infinite and can easily eat up like 40 seconds of time if not more

Haddonfield is only good as survivor if you have balanced, i lose most of the time on this map.

Lampkin is the 3rd biggest map in the game, while Badham is among the smallest. If you include verticality it's virtually the same size or even bigger than Mother's Dwelling.
House of Pain and the Myers house are disgusting loops and you can easily waste at least a minute on those loops to get hit.
Huge fences and bushes who impede mobility.
Almost no line of sight to gens and very weird spawn points. Good luck trying to find anybody at the beginning without Lethal Pursuer.
Even if survivors get stunned while falling, from every building you can easily see when the killer is entering and position yourself to run super early. So good luck trying to catch someone on those houses unless you're Nurse or a stealth killer.

Pros for Killer:
- Central basement that always spawns there
- Corner deadzones can SOMETIMES spawn
- The hook spread isn't massive, especially in the main road
- 3 gens are SOMETIMES possible if survivors cause them
Cons for Killer:
- All the gens are in different countries
- All the loops are super safe apart from one or two filler loops in the main road
- The buildings have god windows everywhere that most killers can't do anything about
- Long fences that the killer HAS to follow to get around and keep chasing
- Without tracking perks or good game sense finding people early and mid game is extremely difficult
- Even if you catch a survivor and get an easy first hit, if they hold w and run to a corner of the map once again you can't really do ######### unless you're a mobility killer

I hate Badham with passion however Haddon can be slightly worse if it spawns with some nasty windows everywhere, it can be even more disgusting than Badham

if Haddonfield was a lot smaller I could maybe live with it. But it's gigantic on top of all its BS. The only killer I can tolerate on that map is Demogorgon.

I'm a survivor main who also plays killer at about a 3:1 ratio. As someone who has long tired of the argument that "XYZ is survivor sided, please delete it", I have to say that I don't know man, Haddonfield's pretty rough for killers.

You dont really need good windows or pallets in haddonfield. Just take a house and run in circles. The killer cant mindgame you and needs forever to catch up.

Not sure if it was a glitch or not, but I have hit survivors over the fence before. One injured survivor teabagged me as we went around it, so just out of interest I hit at him on the fence and he went down, followed by a disconnection.

the map has an insane amount of good windows, you cna literally conect them and everyone can abuse it for 1 min or more unless you can block the windows or are nurse
is not about the pallets, it doesnt have that many Good pallets, but buildings and sometimes conected.

Oh yeah dont forget that the "Great wall of china" can literally be hit through if the survivor is close enough to it. Killer mains whine so much about maps and then refuse to point out the actual broken ######### in it that helps them

I hate Haddonfield, but I got a nice game there this week, where the survs burned strode key offerings, and I got a 3 or 4K with Bubba. That was a regular run, no camping involved. But Haddonfield is such a busted map, I hate it!

I am not going to ask why you replied to a 4 month old comment, but killer mains do have reasons to complain about map design in this game. Way, way too many maps in this game are still survivor sided.
Also, regarding the wall of china, you said it yourself, killers can hit survivors over the fence only when they are close enough to it. So they just shouldn't be too close, and then they can just run around the fence and waste a ton of the killers time. It's 0 skill but can hurt killer a lot. Haddonfield is incredibly survivors sided, with it's huge size, safe pallet loops, and very strong structures for survivors, especially the house with the basement, which is just so beyond busted.
It's true that there is a fair amount of killer mains on this forum that at least seem to just whine about everything, and are sore losers. But there is definitely good reason to complain about map design. With the current gen times that we have in this game, many maps right now are just too big, and have too many safe structures for survivors.

You do realize the myers house is an infinite against 110 killers and still takes years to catchup as a 115 right? Like im talking dropping down from the back balcony window, running up the stairs then window again. That is enough time for chase to drop, not to mention house of pain, long ass fences, horrid map size, and there is strong pallets because of the size of most loops and you can see right over them unless its a hedge loop so no i dont think its overrated when it just makes every part of survivor stronger.

No, Haddonfield is pretty much the worst killer map out there.
- Even after the fix, there are still two pseudo-infinites that a savvy survivor can run you on for minutes.
- Multiple completely safe freebie gens.
- Hook spawns where a single sabo can make a part of the map a complete safe zone where you either have to slug or leave anyone that runs there.
This map is dumb, imbalanced and one of the worst in the game.
If you get close enough to the fence for the killer to hit you, you just made a huge misplay and probably would already be dead on nearly any other map.

- Many peoples opinion of it is from several years ago when it had more infinities, back when balanced still negated the fall stun while exhausted, and before it got its update which removed a few loops(or at least lowered their chances of spawning)
- it's still a very large map and most people who use a Haddonfield offering bring balanced to abuse it that way, not to mention large blocking structures are horrible for killer since they can be looped as well as counter many killer powers.
sure it does have some bad spots for survivors against certain killers but its not many but i'd also say that far worse maps have been added to the game since Haddonfield like rcpd(which I wouldn't say is survivor sided completely but just generally awful).

I mean, I had some fun matches om Haddonfield, and even somr 4Ks, yey for each of these I, also had godawful ones, where I didn't see ANY survivor for the first 3 gens. Heck, I had one game vs the Stealth Gods were I didn't see anyone at all, until they opened to gates and waited for me to get my daily dose of t-bags.

Lol well when you got broken hitboxes, you never can tell if the killer has trex arms or stretch armstrong arms. Besides, it still doesn't erase the fact that Haddonfield is too overhated and is easily one of the most broken maps for both killers and survivors. Not just a survivor map

Haddonfield is a little overrated, but not in the way that this post was made out to be. If I'm killer and we're randomly sent there, I'm not as worried because survivors haven't prepared for it with things like balanced landing. It is however very survivor sided due to it's design, and that's what people complain about. It has long loops that you can't mind game. Not the worst thing in the world but can extend chases longer than they normally would go on other maps. Same thing with the extremely long fences. They extend chases way longer than they normally would and take 0 skill, I've even abused this as survivor. Still not the absolute worst.
But the biggest thing is the house of pain. I've seen it spawn with both windows over the stairs, a window in the garage that connected to a window in the fence right outside of it, and the window was open in the house right in front of the stairs. I streamed and recorded that match to show how ridiculous the spawns can get. This is in addition to the god pallet the house already has. Mix that with it's easy accessibility, and it's not hard to just run there every chase and abuse it.
What's really bad is that survivors can burn an offering and all equip balance landing, and already start the match with a huge advantage.
One of the biggest problems this game has currently is that there or 0 killer sided maps, or maps. Maps now are either survivor sided, meaning just loading into the match means that survivors start with an advantage because of the balance of the map. Or, the map is 50/50 based on RNG spawn. There's not a single map that is just straight killer sided. Midwich comes close because of it's size, but it's window and pallet layout can nullify this depending on the killer you're playing.
There used to be killer sided maps, where if you were sent there as killer you knew there's a good chance you were walking away with a 4k. They were The game, Lery's, and springwood. Here's what happened to those.
The Game: Reworked with more pallets, including a lot of safe ones. There's so many pallets now that a survivor can run the killer for 5 gens while throwing every single pallet down, and have all 4 people escape, and they'd still have pallets left over. Now it's pretty survivor sided for the most part.
Lery's: is more of a 50/50. You could have good RNG, or it can spawn 4 windows in a row all facing each other in a short distance, as well as pallets in the rooms the windows are in.
Springwood: Used to be one of my favorites. But they changed that in the rework as well. The school can now spawn two breakable walls, 2-3 God pallets in the school itself, a pallet to the side with the cars, a pallet in the back, a pallet and a vault in the front, and an extremely long fence on the far side. That's just the school. Behavior also loved Haddonfield so much they made sure that springwood not only got really long fences, but it's very own house of pain with all the same ridiculous spawns.
See it was balanced before, there were survivor sided maps, 50/50s, and killer sided the maps. Wasn't perfect, but it was fair. Now it's just survivor or 50/50.
Personally, I'd rather every map be reworked into 50/50s, like Ormond was. It's not great for killers, but it's also not great for survivors like it was.

The best thing that happened to me in Haddonfield was Tinkerer procing on my pior Bubba in one of the upstairs Gens. So I run up there and bodyblock the backside Window. The Steve there runs up, stops and looks at me, confused. I rev the chainsaw, he still looks at me, and I finally down him. I don't know, maybe he acknowledged that I outplayed him? The Haddonfield was already in their favor? Or he didn't notice the chainsaw and just wanted to run past me once he lost collision after a M1 attack? But it was fun and you have to feed off this moments.
Another moment was with Oni. I had a rough day with lots of sweaty matches and swf and when I was send to Haddonfield, it just broke me. After a short, futile chase I just stood there on the cold November street in the rain, broken and bereft of my will to kill. The survivors felt the change in the air and cautiously approached me. I moved to look at them, but held my place. Then, one after another they all gifted me their items and I was truly moved.
This rekindled my aggression and I chased after them and we had a pretty nice match with a few hooks. When the last gen popped and I downed one of the survs on death hook, I hoisted him over to the gates and opened them. Then we all had a little dance together and the survs even waved me goodbye. It was one of my top 3 heart-warming moments in my (albeit short) dbd career.

All a survivor has to do to avoid that is hug the wall, not the fence. So explain to me how this is a problem. Not a killer main btw.

I think map offerings can be abused on both sides and should go, along with challenges that you need to do on certain maps (like fall from a certain height while being chased). I play as a solo survivor and it's extremely rare to see anyone use any map offering, much less Haddonfield, but I'm sure there are some SWFs who take advantage. I see far more killers bring offerings for indoor maps to play stealth killers. I even had a teammate named Haddonfield the other day and she didn't use an offering.
