Bitter Murmur or BBQ? Which is better to use?

So I was thinking about this a lot recently. They're both aura reading perks, but have different requirements to activate it. So which of them do you get the most use out of? I'm genuinely curious.

    BBQ definitely. Bitter Murmur is weird because why should a killer go after a visible survivor that just completed a gen instead of chasing survivors off incomplete gens?

    BBQ allows you to quickly get in a chase most of the time after hooking a survivor. Bitter Murmur simply shows the auras of survivors near a generator they completed, which won't give you as much value as BBQ. Plus, BBQ gives those beautiful bloodpoints as a bonus.

    BBQ for sure.

    Bitter Murmur I would only use for end game builds.

    Bitter Murmur is reliant on them completing their objective, BBQ is reliant on you completing your objective.

    So the better you perform, the more value you get out of BBQ and the less you get from Bitter Murmur.

    Know where people are when it's too late to do anything, or know where they are if they're not... well, stood by the hooks that are bloody everywhere.

    But BBQ at least gives you a more rewarding goal than trying to murder everyone turns out to be, so "makes games way more chill" is nice. :T

    Rancor0. Because gens will be flying no matter what you do, so get some perfect aura reading while you are at it.

    Without mentioning the BP multiplier, I think BBQ is better because you can "control" when you receive the aura reading, while with Bitter Murmur sometimes you get it in situations where you can't do anything about it, like mid-chase and a gen pops out of your FOV, most likely you are not going to drop the chase or to look around just to see people's auras away from you when you have a Survivor a couple of steps in front of you.

    Of course if you play Huntress, Bitter Murmur can lead to neat shots, so if you enjoy it, go for it!

    Neither…

    Thrilling Tremors gives you more info than BBQ does AND gen block slowdown without the downside of losing gens like Better Mirmur.

    Remember no one in this forums use bbq for aura reading, only the bps

    The aura reading is also neat! When it works.

    But the problem is that the limitations on WHERE it can be aura read (never mind people popping into lockers etc.) make it... mediocre. And outright useless on some map spawns. So, it's more like a low-tier aura reading ability bunged onto the useful BP perk.

    Well to be fair whenever i run bbq, most of the time i forget I'm using it 🤣
