Okey. So I play my belowed Artist. Chasing survior and, juking him, catch that guy in the window, The animation of grasp is starting, but survivor just ignores it. There is 100% hit or catch, but somehow they escape it.
Firstly I thought that they can use Dead Hard during vaulting, but after game this guys just don't have this perk.
So I have a question. ######### is going on with windows and pallets?

Grabs have always been a 15/85 dice roll of whether the game wants to calculate it or not. Animation will still play but then be cut short into a hit.

Grabs have always been finicky. Half the time they don't work.

As others said, grabs work when they want to work, meaning only once in a blue moon.

This definitely wasn't an always thing in the game. Believe it or not there was a time when Killers could reliably grab people off #########

Grabs work very rarely for me.

The really obnoxious part of grab validation is when the game pauses for a second or two to go "huh, did this grab or did this swing? I just don't know!" while the survivor is still fleeing, and then finally decides "nah, not this time" and converts your grab into a swing after the survivor is nowhere near the vault anymore.
Enraging.

Survivor runs to pallet....go into grab animation....freeze....survivor vaults pallet....killer swings and hits pallet. UH Wut?

They should do something because I've been denied so many grabs and got nothing for it. They said they made it so if a grab is canceled it would count as a hit and I can't count how many times I've had a grab canceled and got nothing for it.

Same, but part of the problem is that it doesn't actually "Count" as a hit, you still have to hit and land the swing - often times the stupid Auto Aim just makes you hit the Generator they were working on and they run off uninjured lol

Yeah I have that happen alot actually auto aim is so bad on console. Larry's is one of the worst with all the random stuff.
