scarred hand waterlogged shoe hag

Fired up Hag for the first time in a while trying a new boon era commit to chases build. I never really tried this before because her teleport is such a great mechanic.

Scarred hand and waterlogged shoe.

You are moving at a standard rate and the traps have collision and apply hindered. It works really well in chase but is useless any other time, very situational, but still fun.

Just chuck down a trap in a choke point, doorway or window and watch survivors get stuck as you charge after them. The team eventually get wise but they still get stuck and its worked great for the last run of games.

Between this and bruning all my lerys offerings with jumpscare myers its the most fun I've had playing DBD in weeks.

Probably the only time I'd play Hag is by making her 4.6 and never use her traps.

4.4 Hag with traps is the definition of boring.

I've tried to make the add ons work in the past, but it's simply not worth the effort even with the recent buffs.

She takes too much time and work to set up, and unlike base Hag, has absolutely zero way to punish a trap going off more than a couple of meters away. Many maps have gaps that are simply too wide to block with a trap, most need to be pixel-perfect placement regardless.

Once you get a single hook your only option is to trap a web around them and hope you can catch someone going in for the save of coming back from it, because you really get nothing out of running across the map and trying to set traps as you chase someone further away.

They're simply poorly thought-out add ons that don't function reasonably in the game.

I would like these addons a lot if you could still teleport. But the main problem is that traps get triggered when you are far away so the block + slowdown does nothing.

I think people approach this build the wrong way.

you can drop a couple of traps at the start but the idea is you don’t really set up. You hear a gen being worked on then you trap a nearby loop the herd the survivor off the gen into you trap wall. It only take 1-2 traps to do this.

the goal is to shut down a nearby loop herd a survivor into it and get a really quick down as they get stuck.

you then block some chokes near the hook giving you enough time to return if not already in chases again.

yes it’s not as strong as teleport but the meta is staler than month old bread at the moment switching it up is fun.

This combo is great on lery's and midwich. Everywhere else, not so much.

Both of these addons are...rubbish. Fun and memey on some maps, but just terrible.

Each to their own I guess.

I really enjoy playing Hag, and I don't mind facing her (on the 2 occasions I have). She's just so different to the rest of the roster, and it feels like every time I play her I learn something new.

    You're right.

I just don't like the forced defensive playstyle she has.

Trapper is defensive but he can also chase as a 4.6 Killer.

Demo can be played defensive, is 4.6 AND has a chase power which is fun to use.

Hag is 4.4 and is forced to use her defensive power.

I rather play the 2 above over her any day, even though I find Trapper almost as boring because his Traps are defensive and without them he is a powerless M1 Killer.
