Cool Rift fragements, if you have allready max tier.
4 -
A little irritating, but its nice for players who can't play DBD for 40+ hours a week in order to hit max tier over a month before the Rift ends.
5 -
Then it does nothing for you (while also costing you nothing) and you don't have to log on that day if you don't want to.
3 -
I wish the rift fragments had been on offer earlier in the rift, versus at a time when many have already maxed it, but I can't complain about free BPs and shards! I just hope maybe we'll get some free ugly sweaters too, like last year.

Bone Chill Event? Is this similar to the Halloween Event? Will we get to crush presents?
0 -
I'm looking forward to some shards. Yeah, baby!
0 -
I feel like you should keep hoping that
1 -
Apparently there will be earnable ones during the event.

It never fails to amaze me how people will find something to complain about even in unambiguously positive free-rewards events.
9 -
Oh, that's great news - thank you!

I get to play max 2 hours a day (usually 2-3 games) during week and can play for a bit longer on weekends. My rift is still maxed....
On halloween there was a tome which awarded extra shards.

Hopefully, they implement a way to convert those rift fragments into something else for those who completed the rift already.
1 -
I wish the rift fragment was something else i dont care about the rift. I would take 25k bp over that or just 50 shard XD

Well I can't log on right now so I don't think I'll get any rewards unfortunately..

Get. That. Elf Dwight. Off. My. Screen.

I'm hoping we get loading screens like mobile.

Am I crazy or does this simple winter calender feel more like an event than the Halloween event we had?
It's simple, and there's no skin rewards that I know of, but it kind of feels nice to have periodic rewards in the form of a well-known holiday calender.
Maybe I'm just too bitter about the Halloween event due to failed expectations though.

Also for anyone not aware:
There's apparently a twitch prime gaming dbd collab going on for free 500 auric cells. And yes, I'm treating this as part of the Christmas event.

Good because I don't want to play the game but it would be nice to do some bloodwebs.
1 -
It's definitely you. A mini-rift of challenges and additions to the base game is definitely more of an event than a daily rewards calendar.
2 -
During the event there will be earnable cosmetics.
How do you get the auric cells with prime gaming?

Hopefully if we have max rift it will give us bp instead of half the days are sadly useless :( happy for some rewards tho <3

You need a prime account for amazon, hook up to your twitch account, and then hook twitch up to your DBD account.
There's guides online for the exact process, if you search up "how to link amazon prime to twitch." Then there's options in your account on twitch to hook up games.
I'd detail here but I forgot the process honestly since it's been so long since I've done it.

Have Amazon/Twitch/PS4 linked, guess I'm going to have to get a BHVR account. I've been avoiding that because of the stories of people losing progress after getting one.

A mini-rift using re-used tome assets and could be completed by just playing the game normally, and a pumpkin that, when kicked (using the re-used kicking animation for victor and gnomski), did effectively nothing. Then there's the barely-noticable aesthetic improvements to generators and hooks in the form of a single candle and maybe some vines.
Then the BP rewards were a flat 666,666 and BP from special gens/hooks. The problem here is, unless you used all the offerings and add-ons in your bloodweb effectively, you were probably spending more than you gained from the latter.
So, to me, the grand Halloween event was just a couple of skins with re-used assets and a near non-existent promotion of interactivity between users.

Meanwhile Christmas here gives you shards, way more bloodpoints, and even auric cells.
The calender is also simple, but at least it's something commonly associated with the holiday and promotes you to do something (logging in) that the Halloween event didn't even encourage because it just gave you a one-time flat BP bonus that got widdle away by expiring add-ons and offerings that you were forced to buy.
The pumpkins might be holiday related, but they were tucked in niche corners, barely visible, and even their treats weren't worth going for.

Doesn't matter how original it was, a mini-rift of challenges and cosmetics with changes to the trial itself, regardless of how impactful those changes were, are more of an event than a daily rewards calendar.
Not arguing that you should've liked the Halloween event, but saying that this is more than the Halloween event is just plain wrong.

1,000,000, 60 rift fragments, and 4,500 shards in total. Pretty solid overall.

We're also getting snowmen in Christmas event.

We legit finished the rift without the last time😂
0 -
Oh holy, I just overlooked this entirely.
Snowmen, and you even jump on them? Is this a new animation?
So this Christmas event so far gives:
- 500 auric cells (worth 1-2 skin parts)
- 1 million BP
- 4500 iri shards (worth 1-2 skin parts)
- 60 rift fragments
- Giant snowmen (idk what they do yet, if anything)
- A new interaction animation
- Incentives to log in and play each day
And the Halloween one gave:
- 666,666 bloodpoints one-time
- Hidden pumpkins that did nothing
- A candle on a gen
- re-used assets
- Expiring add-ons and offerings that you lost BP and took away from the big one-time BP gift
- 2 skins
Did I miss anything?
---
I'm not saying the Christmas event is over-the-top amazing, but it feels more present, relevant, and overall nicer imo. I really want to say it's better than the Halloween event.
Which is odd, since it was supposed to be their bigger event I thought.
But I guess I won't know for sure until the event hits us anyway.

My one worry is they'll ruin it by making it like the anniversary crowns - killers just have to not DC while survivors have to escape. It just creates an extra unfun time. Hopefully any earnable cosmetics are either community based or things you can do even if you die.
Edit to add: anyone that hasn't finished the rift that will from the days they give out fragments can technically get Halloween cosmetics thanks the rift - Trapper Halloween cosmetic in there. 😂

Did not receive the login reward for the 27th when I logged into play. Not cool.

rift fragment will be added without giving you any popup message or notification.
are you sure you didn’t get them?
