There's the post game trash talk then there's harassment/crossing the line
I don't mind the occasional post game trash talk like you suck as a killer, Ghostface is OP, etc but when it becomes harassment over how I play as a killer then it crosses a line.
Been getting a lot of it lately despite playing for over a year.
The last ones were from a party of 3 people on Xbox one, got called names for supposedly camping and my play style. Yes I will tunnel but it's a legitimate strategy but being told that "the community says there's a right way to play as a killer" is ridiculous as is to be harassed over it. That went one for hours with the same 3 people.
How do you deal with harassment over your play style?
Sorry for the rant. Yes, I report them but the Xbox code of conduct is useless.

Wait... Are people saying Ghostface is OP?
I don't know what to say to that.

One of my favorite salty after game chats was a player who called me camping killer trash I went "lul wut? Did you see how I messed up?" "No, you are a noop killer camler trash uwu". Then even another surv came for my help, defending me and I explained that I patrolled gens, just to be shot down.
"No. Good killers patrol from gen to gen, not hook to hook when you got 2 survs on hook :<"
Something along that line. It warmed my heart with all that salt.

It is the Internet, so you can't really expect much from people. At least you know that they made a fool of themselves, though.

If a player is upset with a strategy I employed, or they feel like I employed; I'll just say "I'll do it again." There's not really much else to be said after that.
"Sure I tunneled and I'll do it next match too. See you soon."

I mean bhvr hasn't banned the guy who told me to die straight to that, saw him a few days ago.
Steam hasn't banned them either.
I just move on and laugh it off, since dbd right now is a joke, crybabies on both sides, I'm even considering dropping dbd for a while because of how boring it is these days.
Hopefully elden ring pvp will keep me as long as dark souls 3 pvp did, because unlike bhvr, from soft does ban threats.

Trash talk doesn't bother me at all, but people do go over the top. When I still had my comments enabled on my profile, I had this killer comment on it weekly for a month saying they were going to dox me to my work etc (jokes on them I am self employed so go ahead lol).
Since then I just deleted all that and disabled my comments and barely look at post game chat.

Back in my day, we called these people, "telephone tough guys."
The internet thaught people they can say ######### to others that they wouldn't dare say to their face.
Also, as an admitted tunneler, while I don't condone it, that playstyle is going to elicit a response from those you tunnel.
