My pet peeve: that ONE person in the lobby
Hello everyone,
today I just want to soft rant in classic killer main fashion over some very smol detail that bugs me to no end, ie my pet peeve with this game.
You probably all know this: you are eager for the next game, find yourself in a lobby and don't care at all about the survivors loadout and just click "ready". So do three other fellow games within the first 10s. And then everyone is kept waiting. And waiting. And waiting. Sometimes the last person will just let the timer run out, but sometimes they click "ready" at the literally last second, for what? You could just have kept playing dead, but now I am already annoyed at you before the game even starts.
Not enough that I will tunnel that person or anything, but really: why? Occasionally we all got some urgent real-life issues that will pry us away from the screen, but it happens so regularly. Does researching someones stream profile offer that much of an advantage? Knowing that you will be versing someone with 3000h or 250h is some info, but dayum, it really grinds my gears.
Oh, I nearly forgot: "Hur, dur! When is BHVR punishing those lobby delaying players? How much bloodpoints should you lose per 3s after everyone else is ready? Don't ignore this, BHVR! Its eating into everyones fun and makes playing killer a literal chore!!1"

Thats why its called a pet peeve, ie an insignificant or minor occurance that grinds your gears.

You realize people walk away and grab snacks , take a piss, etc after the initial ready up, right?

While in queue and waiting for the game to start I scroll on my phone, watch a YouTube video, work on a crossword, play Clash Royale, etc. If you're sitting there staring at the screen, counting down the seconds then I could see why you're frustrated, tho
Edit: one thing I would avoid is scrolling through these forums. You might have an aneurysm and leave 4 people with a ######### game 😓

its only a minute.. do something else than just stare at the countdown.

100% the same for me! Everyone else is ready but that one person... It might only be 1 minute but all those 1 minutes add up

If you're playing video games, you got some minutes to spare in life.

Just to be sure, you know that the game automatically hits ready at 5 seconds left? That doesn't mean the player is there and waiting. They might still be afk, taking a bathroom break, on another tab, petting the cat, etc.

Ha, I'm that ONE person you are complaining about.
I'm usually getting a drink or playing my guitar and completely forget to hit ready, my bad, I'm sorry
