The whole doxing problem

So I don't know if it's still at it's highest but one of the reason I think streamers are getting doxed is because they make it easy for people to find them in the game aka promoting their twitch in their username it kinda screws them over I get stream snipping and doxing is bad I don't do it but to prevent it just don't promote your twitch in your username.

    Does not always work.

I was streaming once (years ago, and I don't have 'TTV' in my name), and a streamer on the hook looked me up & sent his viewers to harass me, because I would not trade hooks with 'the better streamer'.

To be clear: Yes; my Screen Name and my TTV Name were the same. No; I did not say I was streaming. No; I did not have 'TTV' in my name.

This man decided to see if I was a streamer, looked up my name, looked me up on twitch, and then sent his 30 or so viewers to insult and harangue me because he was 'the better streamer'. His metric? Having more viewers than me. 🙃

What I'm trying to say is that some people will go to any lengths to find and harass people they don't like.

Large streamers are screwed I guess.

Same with small streamers trying to grow.

Just accept the criminal action I guess, instead of asking for the devs to solve the literal crime.

That’s not a fair sentiment. Streamers want to be able to grow their platforms and they shouldn’t be forced to not promote their streams just because BHVR was too incompetent to care about their playerbase’s security.
