Can you guys help me
I have mained slinger for pretty much my entire time of playing dbd
And I'm not saying I'm giving him up but idk I find I'm facing tougher and tougher teams these days and I don't think I'm playing bad I hit all my shots and my chases typically last 30-50 secs and I always have at least one hook before 1 or 2 gens are done
But yet still all the gens are done in 5 minutes and everyone has dead hard and bt and spinechill or ironwill
So I figured I'd try and play the least popular killer to try and get some variety
What do you guys think stick to the slinger as one of the few remaining?
Or maybe try ghost face or something idk?

Play Pyramid Head because we need more players.
In all seriousness, play whatever is fun for you. If Slinger has stopped being fun because of the levels of teams you're facing, try moving away for a bit and diversify your horizon. Play someone else you're not familiar with, learn them too, spice up your experience and then return when you feel like it'll be fun again. Nobody can make up when it stops being fun except for you, subjective nature and all.

It's always good to branch to other killers when you feel bored with your main, but I wouldn't say Ghost Face would be the right play if you're having problems with those specific perks since Dead hard, BT, Spine Chill, and Iron Will will all be as effective, if not more effective against him than they would on Slinger.

Ig I just feel bad in a sense (idk how else to describe it) for leaving my boy, like guilty almost, like I feel obligated to play slinger since their is so few of us left and with me gone their might be 3 left which makes me sad cause to me he is so cool and has always had the right aesthetics
I still find landing insane shots through really tiny holes fun but it just gets harder and harder to play less serious and the teams I face get better and better
Perhaps I will try Pyhead he seems cool
Will have to get used to aiming something that isn't a gun tho

Yea PH is really fun.
No add-on variety but as a slinger main, I doubt you would notice too much.

If you do decide to play Pyramid Head please tell me so I have an excuse to recreate that guide featuring more up to date clips because right now I'm procrastinating buying Artist to test her perks on him because it's just effort
And as for feeling guilty, I know the feeling (literally me and Dorito Man, although tbf it's less guilt more pure frustration with MMR that caused me to take like a two week break from playing him). Just, again, when the fun stops it's time to take a break for a bit. No point being the Last Slinger™ if you only play him due to a sense of honour and guilt over a fictional character.

I just don't care to play top tiers which is why I suggested him, like I said I wouldn't say Im struggling vs those perks if I played a full meta build and offerings I would probably have a 3 kill average like otz
I just find it boring with the 32 tr nerf how someone with spinechill is all the way across the map by the time you reach a gen and 4 dhs and bts is just annoying on any killer
Overall ig I would say I'm feeling burnt out on how tryhard I have to play just to eek out with 2 kills at the end cause I didn't feel like camping or running the best killer with the best perks

Yea most of slingers add ons are trash I only ever use reload or the tr ones so i think I will give ph a try
I think I am gonna try him he seems cool and high skill cap killers have always been my thing
I think him and hag will be the ones I try at least for a little bit

If you need a guide wait till I get the 6k shards from them yeeting Bubba's faces to get BirdBitch™ and then I'll playtest with em and see if I think they work for him.
Or use the old one, that's still very accurate imo.

Just got out of my first game with him
I only have two things to say
1:the moment you start dragging the sword holy ######### do survivors move wacky and wild so I gotta say I think my sniping translated well cause I Ianded a good amount of hits
2: holy ######### are most killers this fast? I've only ever played 4.4s I felt like I was zooming

1: Yea, normally people will wait for you to launch b4 moving, I'd launch after LOS is broken, make a prediction as to where they will be, then launch POTD

Honestly?
If you enjoyed the 'stealth' aspect of Slinger, Myers or Ghosty would be good choices.
If you enjoyed the 'ranged' aspect of Slinger, Plague would be a good choice.
All of these are rare and all but Ghosty are way better put together than Slinger is right now.

I think it's good to branch out to other killers. It's good to give yourself a break because you can get burned out on one killer. You can also get too in your head with one killer because when you mess up it hurts more. You get more easily tilted because you may think because you play them all the time you should be better but getting in your own head ends up causing more mistakes and makes you feel worse. Playing a different killer not only gives you a breather but forces you to try a different playstyle which can be refreshing. If you play a new killer and you mess up you won't get as tilted because you'll think "oh I never play them, that makes sense" and you'll be more open to learning from mistakes. Once you get in a better headspace head back to Slinger you'll probably feel better.
Edit to add: play Trapper, I love him but he gets no love. 😢

This will sound stupid but have you tried the perk blood echo? It cuts down on some of the DHs.
