James Sunderland should have been the survivor for the dlc
I'm fine with Cheryl and so on maybe they could have done something like how stranger things did but I find James Sunderland works be if I remember Pyramid head showed up in silent hill because James was there I don't remember what really happened I just remember James guilt or something created Pyramid head.

Silent Hill 1 map, Silent Hill 2 killer, Silent Hill 3 survivor.
Full rep.

I mean, we have James as a legendary now anyway. Not much reason to be sad over a favorite character not appearing in DBD. Sad that he costs $15, maybe.

Really pyramid head was from Silent Hill 2 I haven't played any of the games so I didn't know.

Yeah, pHead was James' special tormentor in 2. I won't say more, because quite frankly if you don't know the story, you should experience it for yourself, as it's still one of the best horror games of all time, imo.

Spoilers for Silent Hill ahead, so don't read it if you haven't played the games/know the story, I recommend this video if you're curious about the story

I think this could have to do with James's story being over since at the end of the second game, depending on your option (assuming you chose for Mary not to change herself), James would kill himself so he can be with her. Meanwhile, Cheryl's story is still kind of continued in a sense. Because yes, Pyramid Head was James's personal tormenter because he is a formation of is guilt for killing Mary, just like how Maria is supposed to be another version of Mary that is also part of his guilt.
This is just my speculation, it could be like what someone else said with a map from the first game, Pyramid Head from the second, and Cheryl from the third though.

I remember back before Homecoming the theory Vatel from 3 was PH but in a different form. Since I refuse to acknowledge any game after 4 I choose to accept this is the explanation for the choice of Cheryl and Pyramid Head.

Yes, Silent Hill 2 was Pyramid Head first appearance, he has nothing in common with DBD iteration except the weapon and the head tho.

Well, Pyramid Head was always going to be the killer, so there's your SH 2 rep.. The map could've been Silent Hill itself, but ig that would be too similar to Badham/Haddonfield. I have to admit I don't know many locations within Silent Hill beyond the school and just its streets, though.
As for the survivor, Heather/Cheryl being the survivor associated with PH doesn't make a whole lot of sense lore-wise, but for the sake of representing the original trilogy, she's by far the best option.

It's weird that he's a survivor since he killed his own wife with pillow

David was (iirc) an enforcer for a debt collection agency. Bill was a Vietnam vet. Jonah inadvertently caused hundreds of civilian casualties. Having a body count doesn't preclude you from being a survivor.

David didn't killed anyone, Bill was on the war and Jonah did it inadvertently. James on the other hand killed someone that didn't even had a chance to protect. He was knowing what he's doing and regardless he decide to do it, even though he didn't have to.
