the only thing that is capped is bp from games. Shop codes, tome challenges, daily rituals and rank rewards can all surpass the 1 mil cap

Nice-ish change. I still don't think it's worth to grind for on the survivor side, though. At least, not solo. 1 mil is like 20 killer games without offerings. Still faster to get than 84 or whatever survivor pips, especially at iri grades and with all the dc's and getting mmr'd with boosted teammates.
If they removed de-pips, maybe I'd think about it.

This is awesome, but can we please get rid of the depips. If this is truly about time played, why are we still de-piping?
If someone is AFK or DCs it seems silly to penalize us for this.

Can we still get BP after receiving the rewards or do we need to spend it to get below the 1M cap before playing again?
Love the change in rewards. Just want to know if I need to spend the BP to get below the cap before starting to play with friends or if I can play a few games after the grade reset and still get BP from matches.

Consider the rewards a different pool, as long as your normal BP pool is below 1 million, you will still be able to receive points from games.

Unless some changes we don't know about are also implemented this will maybe mess up the Bloodpoints economy. Players will be able to afford to run the best addons which are usually the most expensive. So there is actually no need to have weaker versions of addons.

While 1 Million BP for each side is great, it shows that the BP-Cap is laughable low. If I get double the BP-Cap every month, it is a good sign that they might want to increase it.
The thing is, if someone already has leveled up all Characters, there is not much to do with those extra BPs. You can get some Add-Ons on Killers or Items on Survivors, but thats it. Of course you can save those 2 Million BPs for the next Chapter, where you can store 3 Million total (2 Million via Rewards, 1 Million via the regular Cap), but this means that you are stuck on those and the games you play will not give you any BPs.
Maybe it is time to raise the Cap to 5 Million. There were so many Chapters and Perks released that even saving up 5 Million Credits is not even close to be enough to max out a Character at release. There will be still plenty of grind left after a Chapter-Release.

Bloodpoints are neat, but wouldnt have been my choice. I hoped for a good amound of shards, which are already far too hard to get in relation to the amount of cosmetics they could be used for.

Im am super excited about this well done BHVR.
Only 1 issue i see with this.....Now I am going to destroy everyone I face to get a double pip. I usually let 1 or 2 go which loses my double pip because rewards were meh. Now im am so going try hard now. Sorry in advance for slugging for the 4k.

Nice. Do you know by any chance which pool gets used first? So if I go into a math, get 20k bloodpoints, then immediately spend it, am I taking from the pool with the cap or taking from the rewards pool?

If they havent changed anything the pools are added. So you have to spend below the 1mil cap to be able to earn any bloodpoints again from games.
You would still be able to get points from codes, etc and add them to your cap though
