Anyone else revel in salty messages and players?
It just fuels me. Anyone else?

I don't. I don't get any thrill from the misery of others... Maybe I just have empathy or am not a sadist, idk...

It's what keeps me coming back
my two addictions are rift grind and getting steam profile comments

Wait... are the people who rage and insult others suddenly in misery?
9 -
I can't imagine anyone that goes out of their way to rage and insult others is very happy...

Not really. I don't really mind salty messages (I can take whatever people throw my way), but I don't love them either. I just move on and report if needed. These people aren't worth it. I rarely get salty messages though.

Its the only reason I keep my profile comments public, I love seeing that #########.

no but I definitely laugh when I get one for simply playing the game normally

Not me. I'm just trying to play the game and give everyone a good time.
But when they rush gens and dont interact with me I just get bored. So I stopped playing to keep my sanity.

No.
I...understand people being upset in postgame, especially if things didn't go well for them (this game feels like a machine designed to produce frustration at times) but people are just so outright nasty so often that it's just worn me down over time. I'll probably end up just disabling postgame chat again, which is a shame - I've also had some rather wholesome exchanges on there.

Lol ^
Sir. Get off the horse, sir. Truth is I just tell my friends that also play about post game salty moments. It's hard to get those reactions across in text on the forums.
I enjoy the banter in the end game chat. It's not whatever stereotype you imagine it being lol.

Yes it's funny when I get invited to parties then it turns into a ######### talking matchup

I don’t. I try to be a positive person and always give the killers or survivors props after the game (unless they are pc or box players, camp at 5 gens or tebag)

I love getting called a tryhard as I'm running Shadowborn, Agitation, Lethal Pursuer and BBQ.

Depends. If its unfounded salt just for losing then yeah it's pretty funny. If they're annoyed because I was actually/camped tunneled I'll try to be nice and explain why I did it (once in a blue moon for the past 3/4 years). If they're so annoyed they're going out of their way to harass me, even across different socials, then no that isn't funny at all. It's just sad, and makes me feel like ######### because nobody likes being insulted, even more so for no reason.

I don't play toxic which is why when I get toxic messages I laugh.
I love getting those messages, especially if they're unique. The two I remember most happened within a week of each other.
- Got a bunch f voice messages because I bodyblocked a hook. Very very funny 😂
- Got someone complaining about me "tunnelling" them and that I'm trash and should go back to Minecraft 😂 faced them 3 times in 1 week as killer and got the same messages each time.

I usually don't care. But when it is someone that... wasn't the best, and then complains about me. Then it's funny, like, really funny xd

I have empathy, but not for psychos who want me to kill myself because I beat them in a video game. I am kind of sadistic though, so no counter argument there...
3 -
I love the guilt tripping they try to do, i say "cry" and the next words from them are all censored lmao

I find some pretty funny but the usual “camper” or “bad player” are just the norm now

Not really.
It just makes me sad.
Even if their salt is completely undeserved and they are acting like children.
It's just sad to see.

So long as I find their stance childish and the subject matter irrelevant, yes, absolutely.

I do view a huge distinction between "salty" and "threatening"

I don't try to farm it or anything but watching people out themselves as racists and homophobes because they lost the video game is pretty A1. Like cool you lost and gave me a reason to report you well done.
Except for that one guy that cursed my entire bloodline that was just legendary.

Usually I just smile to myself at how overeactive they are and type my usual 'gg' in chat.
My little sister (12) however goes berserk and looks at my screen in awe if she's nearby 😅

The real entertainment is survivors who think killers are supposed to follow their book full of arbitrary rules that don't really exist...and when you don't follow their rules, you're literally worse than that guy who started the holocaust. According to survivors.

these are always funny, because with the amount that they complain about, killer would just end up as playing no trap trapper.
they complain about almost every perk (had one complain about ######### undying alone, no other hex was brought cause i forgot to equip devour. so just undying was what they were mad about) , every killer (one cocky guy wanted to 1v1 after i beat him as billy so i used billy, then my main ghostface. he complained about both even though i used my power once) etc etc

It's so ridiculous that it's already boring. My eyeballs hurts from rolling at them.
0 -
That is not really a threat though (and as someone who lived with a schizophrenic methead obsessed with guns who fantasized about killing my family, I am almost offended that people consider the ######### stuff threatening). But yes, if I remove the extreme salt from the people who are just frustrated, I guess I personally do not think lesser of them.

Literally had someone use a a Microsoft account to text me due to being cross platform.

I love and appreciate it when someone takes the time out of their day to let me know how much I infuriate them. lol I like my popcorn salty.

I don't enjoy it at all. People who play this game take a loss way too personally. I've commented on both killers and survivors dirty tactics before but I wouldn't call it salt and even as a killer I've been attacked for just playing the game. If getting survivor rage is the only reason someone plays this game they need to rethink things because it's not healthy

Misery loves company so it makes sense that there's a lot of sad and angry people that enjoy making others sad and angry.
