My experience without perks
![Sakurra](https://forums.bhvr.com/applications/dashboard/design/images/banned.png)
If you camp or tunnel just because someone outplayed you (not toxic) without perks at all, then sorry to say but you are just a crybaby killer that can't admit someone is better than you at this game. Really. I had a hard time trying to escape 8 times without perks. I had to rely on my skill and teammates with BT and sometimes flashlights saves. And in all these matches I was the only one camped and tunneled. And of course it works because no perks, no DS, no second chance perks to help me against these cheap tactics. What a huge ego some of you have! You can't stand when someone mindgame you very well and is hard to catch. Leave that survivor if you struggle catching him. Stop being stubborn to catch him and then camp him because your ego is too big.
Anyway, I did my achievement. In that kind of matches where killers are not stubborn and they know when to break the chase. And in some where I was still camped+tunneled, but my teammates had BT. That's what I had to say.

How is the killer supposed to know you dont have any perks?
Also most killers tunnel out the weak link, a good killer who realizes you dont have any Exhaustion perks to assist you in chase and didnt get DS'd upon picking you up is obviously gonna keep that in mind and is gonna try to turn the game into a 3v1
Is it fun? No. Is it effective? Unfortunately.

Your first question makes no sense. It doesn't matter if you have perks or not! Their ego is too big! If they see someone better than him they will just camp and tunnel which is very lame.
Edit: when you chase a perk less survivor too much you are a loser. This is just embarrassing.

So that's why killer mains are complaining about DH, huh! Their tunneling is not that efficient with this perk. What a shame for them. Devs took a great decision by adding hit validation! And that's why 90% of survivors are running this perk. And DS because there are too many tunnelers and BT because campers. Unbreakable because sluggers. All these meta perks are just countering against these cheap tactics that killers use to get easy kills.

Their ego is big.. because theyre chasing some one whos better than them..? If theyre able to catch this so called 'better player'. Wouldnt you want to get rid of them as soon as possible? So you can deal with 3 lesser opponents?
2 -
Explain yourself.

Until that happened, all gens done. 3 man escaped. Me dead. The only one camped and tunneled. And the killer lost. Very efficient, right? Just because you want to kill the best one from them. When you could easily go for the weak one instead. Big brain.

If Im in a tough situation and I see an opportunity to turn the game around, Im gonna take that chance
And if that chance just so happens to be a perkless Survivor, then Im going after them.
As a Survivor Id completely understand that killers situation, its not because they have any malicious intent but theyre just trying to win
Its obviously not a fun way to go about things, but it is what it is. Take the L and move on to the next game
2 -
I mean they went for the one kill they could get and got it
Perhaps it was a failed attempt to try to turn the game around, or the killer is just inexperienced and doesnt know any better

"not because they have any malicious intent but theyre just trying to win" lol. Sure.
"Take the L and move on to the next game"
I don't consider it an L when I'm camped to death or tunneled. If he chased me too much and all 3 people escaped I won. He lost.

"I dont consider it an L when I'm camped to death or tunneled. If he chased me too much and all 3 people escaped I won. He lost."
I mean you made a forum post complaining about it so I dont know if thats a win, but go off king

1k=win 😏 then 4k=lose 😏

So you got tunneled for being the weak link, yet the Killer had an ego? Sure
5 -
You sound more salty you got rekt than any of those big ego camping killers you talk about.
8 -
who hurt you lol
4 -
Man you sound like the one with the big ego here.
4 -
Damn did he fracture your ego or something?
1 -
It's cute that the only reason you could think of is that they are angry, because you are "better" than them...
3 -
Nooo, there is no way he is weak link. His "Trust me Bro" source told us he is best player that ever played dbd.
3 -
"Trust me Bro" is undoubtedly the most reliable source of information
1 -
I had my whole thesis on uni based on this source... They didn't like it tho, idk why.
2 -
They don't understand the power of the "bro"

Actually I’m the opposite, if I realize a survivor is probably a strong runner who likes to get to strong tiles I’ll try and switch to a weaker survivor instead and save the strong one for later after I get a kill or two. It’s much more efficient to pressure a strong runner once you take out their support.

THIS. Some survivors, who know how to loop extremely well, take on the role of the "designated harasser", as I call them. They will try to get the killers attention and waste as much of their time as possible. Bonus points if they directly run to you from the start and flashlight clickety click at you with a macro. The best way to deal with them is to just ignore them. Chances are that getting looped was their entire game-plan and they might hover around, trying to get your attention or be ready to flashlight save when you focus on and down someone else. If they can't shift gears, this already makes the game much more easy for you, as only two other survivors will be doing gens.
The other game I had a Claudette who was exectly like this and who tried so hard to get my attention. I didn't tunnel or camp that game, but I purosefully ignored her all game, besides the few interactions at an unhooking event, but even there I never followed her. Eventually I got everyone else hooked and chased her through the empty wasteland and eventually cornered her, getting a 4K. She was surprisingly nice and we talked a bit in the endgame chat. She told me that she exclusively plays survivor and actually wants to get chased, as thats the most fun part for her, while I countered that I noticed her skill and eagerness to get chases right away and suspected her to be about 3x as good as I am.
We exchanged a few more tips and went out seperate ways, but that was one of the nicest interactions I ever had in the after game chat. Back to OPs problem: both, the Power Moves and the Tools of the Trade achievments are a pain in the butt to get. Not because of the exercise itself, which is already hard enough, but because the current toxicity in the game. I am trying to get Tools of the Trade myself right now (and even started a thread talking about my experiences in a humorous way), and it really made me play the hardest, sweatiest and uncoolest I ever did. Without any of my favorite perks I have to rely on tunneling and singeling out the weak link, and that for at least 5 crushing victories :V not cool. It makes me feel really bad some times, but what ya gonna do? Power Moves at least lets you play the game and teaches you a lot about the fundamentals of the game, without relying on any crutches at all, but its often quite disheartening to play quite well all game, only to get sacrificed by a disgruntled killer at the last gen.

Players that are playing only killer role commenting to this post 😏

I've been camped by running no mither. People will play in scummy ways because they want to, not because of anything you do or run. They're just like that.

Not this statement...
0 -
And it's sad you have to run perks just to counter this behavior. You can't run meme builds, just meta perks. As killer, I can run meme builds, but as survivor... Is gambling.
0 -
To be fair, it does look like it. But this is the dbd forums after all, if the post isnt about "killer is hard" or "survivor bad" OP shouldnt expect much coming out of it.
0 -
I'd say everyone can run meme perks, but since both sides are expecting the other to use the best things they can, the one using meme perks will most likely struggle a bit.
0 -
I agree it looks that way but also you don’t know what roles they play.
0 -
It's easy to assume by their post history and the way they reply to posts.
0 -
Yeah but still making statements like that doesn’t add anything to the discussion.

A lot of the posts on these forums dont either so.

maybe its just me not catching on but what is the point of your post?
you got salt camped? ok thats good you probably did enough to get your team a huge advantage. How does a killer know if a survivors as perks or not? I can't even tell if a killer is running naked.
"What a huge ego some of you have! You can't stand when someone mindgame you very well and is hard to catch. Leave that survivor if you struggle catching him. Stop being stubborn to catch him and then camp him because your ego is too big."
i realy dont understand what this means. Some killer overchase because of salt or pride, but others just dont know when its time to stop chasing. Camper Bubbas in my experience will never drop chase because their plan start the second they hook someone
"You can't stand when someone mindgame you very well and is hard to catch."
you have no way to know that, unless the Killer says so.
"Anyway, I did my achievement. In that kind of matches where killers are not stubborn and they know when to break the chase. And in some where I was still camped+tunneled, but my teammates had BT. That's what I had to say."
👍️ Good for you
If all gens are done. the killer camping makes sense because at that point there's very the little they can do.(Which is why i hate being chased when the last gen is being done)
usually yes they are trying to win, banking on over altruism which is too common in this game
oh OK its just another "us vs them" OTP flame war. How does this community believe its better than any community baffles me.

Apparently a killer doing normal killer things to secure a kill as a killer=massive ego
2 -
I have to agree. it is really true that many killers do not know how to snowball a game and get triggered when a survivor loops them well for like 2~3 gens. instead of looking at themselves and thinking what they did wrong they prefer to chalk it out to "damn toxic survivor won't let me hit him! killer is so hard to play!!!". as a killer you really should just go for the weaker links and kill the better players later. I do know how tilting it is to have that 1 mf that you just can't touch and he also somehow always saves his team. I do wish bt, ds and dh be removed and just make the game in such a way that killers are encouraged and rewarded for not tunneling and camping. Those few negative points you get for camping do not work and will not work no matter how much progress they take away from you.
