A simple solution to make killer more fun and Grade better
What needs to happen in my opinion is the game needs more love to the horror aspect of what it was supposed to be and less about how well the killer out played four other people.
Remove Mori Offering, make any survivor that is downed at death hook stage available to Mori. Then make Mori's a cosmetic item that you can buy with cells, shards, or obtain through the rifts. At loadout with each killer you choose which Mori you want to go into the trial with.
Then no longer have SBMM take into account whether a survivor is sacrificed to the entity. Instead the game only awards large SBMM jumps by the number of survivors you Mori'ed that match. To help aid in people with higher skill trying to keep in a low rating you simply aware a base amount of points if a survivor dies by any other means aside from a Mori. I feel this will more fairly raise and lower killers in their respective skill levels because it obviously would take actual skill to find and down a survivor three times. Obviously like with all things it could be exploited by tunneling but it would also in the same light go against face camping in some small ways. It's no perfect fix all but I do believe it help add more fun to the killer side and make small victories more enjoyable. A killer would only enters a "top tier" killer SBMM rating when they have the ability to down and Mori all four survivors before the trial is complete more often them not. This could cause some lobby issues for top tier swfs and while that can be unfortunate it's just unavoidable to make all sides happy with every change.
Then start releasing a variety of different Mori for the killers to choose from. Have contests to use fan inspired ideas as a new Mori. Award massive boost for killers in bloodpoints earned in that trial and grade rewards earned for each survivor they Mori. Certain killers who have unimaginative Mori's or others where the playing using the killer doesn't get to see the killer performing the Mori would benefit and are some more fun. Make those moments where a killer dedicates too long on a chase with a skilled survivor a little more rewards when you get to kill them by a Mori or your own choosing.
Maybe add one more gen and make 6 the number to be done. Leave speeds the same, this will guarantee that even if you have a long first chase before hooking only half the gens will be done. But obviously this kinda idea comes with all sorts of complications and i don't have many fresh ideas on how to give the killers more time to spare in a trial.

It's perfectly easy to get 4ks without much effort with gens as they are, why on earth do people think adding extra gens or more time is going to do anything healthy for the game?
As for your SBMM suggestion, it's probably one of the worst ideas I've ever heard because it deliberately allows people to avoid using the mori simply to lower their ranks and smurf so they can play against new players.

The point isn't to make things "balanced" as if this is an achievable goal for this game. It's to make the killer side more appealing and to add back some horror elements to the game. We have plenty of survivors as is but not enough killers willing to play when they play three matches with with new players who don't know what they're doing to be against survivors with 1000 plus hours in the next game.
You act as if the current system isn't just as easily exploitable just as the one before that was. As long as rank is a basis for matchmaking then a way to exploit it exists. You clearly didn't take time to read very well because I explained how any other means of death gives a base amount of points which means if a survivor dies then you steadily rise in rank. The only way you can Smurf is to not kill any survivors in your matches which, surprise surprise, is exactly how people Smurf the current system and the previous one.
The point is to make the killer side more appealing so that more of them stick around. The point is to go back to showcasing the killers and their horrors, make small victories for casual players more enjoyable. You say 4ks are easy to get as is but what you don't take into consideration is that's your personal experience. Not everyone wants to only use the strongest possible killers with the strongest possible add ONS, not everyone wants to be competitive or sweat. I clearly stated that I don't have any idea on the state of gens or giving the killer more time to spare. If you aren't here to have a constructive conversation and take the time to read what is written then why come to just be opposition? How about instead of being combative you actually add something to the topic?

My question is how does adding mori cosmetics solve the problem of why people don't want to play killer? I'm fine with the look and feel of most killers and enjoy playing the characters. What I don't enjoy over time is the amount of sweat and lack of satisfaction when I have 8 hooks 0 kills and all 4 survivors had a walk in the park due to game balance.
I play some survivors games not because killer is boring but because survivor is brainless and less stressful.

Thing is, adding another gen means adding another full 80 seconds. The last time genspeeds were addressed was only 50 additional seconds.
That 50 second increase was big enough to turn a 1k into a 2k against death squads. Then the toolbox, prove thyself and leader nerf came, and then came the 3k era.
Killer mains have grown too accustomed to the 3k era. Where 70% of matches were wins and they'd only lose to optimal players or death squads. And even then, people complained that survivors were too strong. You win 70% of matches yet your opponent is too strong? Doesn't make sense.
Mmr brought it back to a 2k era, in a frustrating way(I really hope they make chase matter for solo survivors), but it's overall more fair. You win some, you lose some, literally.
Essentially, people who grew too accustomed to the 3k era, are literally entitled. If you think killer is frustrating, imagine being a solo survivor. At least as a killer, if you do badly, you gain at least 15k BP. As a survivor, even if you did great in chase, you could die with just 8k BP, and that's the good version. I've seen people die with only 1k BP.
At least you can end the match, buy something from your bloodweb that might make your future games better and improve yourself as a killer. It sucks, sure, but you'd forget about that match soon, just like you forgot about all your good matches. As a survivor, you pretty much end up remembering those times you got less than 3k from a match and can't even purchase that escape cake that finally appeared in your bloodweb after refreshing it 5 times.
Killer really isn't that frustrating. Killer is frustrating at high MMR. But on mid-low MMR? Killer is fine.

When I propose this idea it's because I do play both sides a fair deal. I play a little more survivor because it doesn't come with nearly as much stress or possible frustrations. But I also enjoy small victories in the game and really couldn't honestly care about bloodpoints. I enjoy finding a survivor who is challenging to go against and that feeling of satisfaction of catching them. It's just equal parts frustration when at mid-high range MMR having a chase that lasts close to two minutes means that you more often then not only have 2 gens left. The killer needs more time on their hands but I do understand adding another Gen isn't simply done. They sort of gave the killer more time by adding boons but then at the same time made hit and run methods just pointless and made all new struggles who rely on injured survivors for pressure. The idea for adding the Mori I feel would help because it make it more appealing for new and casual players.
Right now killers are thrusted into a higher level of MMR much too quickly. Simple things that are out of their control shoot them forward like survivors killing themselves on hook. And while I think if you have 8 hooks and zero kills this is more about bad decision making, I understand this frustration as well. That's why I feel like being able to choose a Mori that you enjoy to kill a pesky survivor who cost you too much time or was acting toxic would give a little satisfaction to that tough match. Also it would be more complicated for a novice killer still learning the basics to shoot himself to a high MMR.
I admit that the Mori idea doesn't contribute much for mid-higher end killers but is something I'd personally enjoy seeing because I feel like with each update the game moves further away from a horror game. And the gen idea, while I don't think would hurt High MMR survivors too badly I do see how it could really be damaging for mid-low tier survivors. Too often have I been found first, have a chase for like 1.30 minutes and then when hooked see that not a single teammate is on a gen. I also feel those solo survivor struggles cause I'm solo nearly 100% of the time. Survivors definitely need more points for being in active chase, especially if they manage to escape the chase without being damaged or if the chase duration goes past two minutes. Sucks to have the game tell you didn't do so good cause you got like 6,000 bloodpoints even though you ran the killer for four gens and then was left to die on first hook by your teammates.
One thing that is bogus is that we have a cap set on how much we can earn in each category, that should definitely be removed. Maybe one way to make the killer have more time would be to make doing things what are not considered the objective grant significantly more blood points? Being in chase, doing totems, altruism, all these things should give more points then sitting on a gen and without caps it would be more worth running builds that gear towards specific things rather then using BT and DH every single match cause you have too lol

Oh that's a risky idea cause you want to make moris baseline. Many survs I see here in the forum and in game hat moris so much they say using a mori is toxic and many disconnect the moment u start your mori

But it should be base kit to showcase the killer doing some awesome kill animation for a horror based game. If it was something that could happen every match then people wouldn't be as upset about it. And junk like that hurts the survivor for disconnecting more then it hurts the killer. Which is also why we should have a longer ban time for disconnecting.
