The coming Q&A i think will be really important for some player. The way the game is right now made a lot of people unhappy and we can see that with the steam chart. I stop playing on console so i dont know if they fix the optimisation issue yet. I believe those are thing they need to adress during the stream to give some hope in the player.

Remember that it is just a Q&A, so they can only really say whatever's relevant to the questions being asked- and this community has a habit of repeating questions when they already know the answer is "we're working on it", so I wouldn't expect that any particularly huge reveals will happen here.
(Not that particularly huge reveals should come from a Q&A, that'd be kind of weird.)

There are console upgrades you know. You won't be able to play on your original Xbox One forever, eventually you'll have to upgrade to the newest console.

Either I'm missing something here but if not, playing survivor won't change anything about the optimization.
Before i stopped playing it was running perfectly, but that was on PS5.
I did hear that the old gen is crap to say the least.

I swich to pc last year because i did not want the game to break my ps5 lol. The thing is that game should not tax old gen console like that and when you play certain killer or go in certain map the game was lagging a lot and that was before the twin chapter it only got worse if im not mistaken. A 2016 game should not need a 2021 console to be able to run specially with the low quality graphic this game have.

Well the game is not even close to what it was in 2016. Almost every map has been updated to 2020 standards. There are 191 perks that now do crazy things and have to synergize with each other on one map. What is your limit on when dbd should or shouldn't work? Should it work on an Xbox 360 or a PS2? At some point a game with 2020 standards of graphics is going to run slower on older hardware, that's just how it works.

I don't think that is the issue, at least not the biggest.
The thing is that they have said they make an optimization patch to bring all platforms to at least 60fps, and then everything went silent about that patch.
That is what pissed of many people as it were empty promises made in, i believe, 2019.
So far before even next gen console release dates were made.

I'm sure it's hard to get dbd running 60 FPS on a console that came out in 2013. It's possible but probably harder than you think it is. Especially for a game that has basically been needed to be recoded from scratch over the years and isn't a AAA company.

Let's be real, most of the answers will be "We don't know", "No", or "Maybe we'll work on it". And if the question is related to some cosmetic or music/sound effect, they'll be like "OMG, that sounds amazing, first thing to do on my priorities list!".

Yes you're right they are console upgrades but, the way the world is right now it's kind of hard to get your hands on one.

Eh I think at this point it's gotten a lot easier you just have to do a tiny bit more digging than usual. The PS5 has sold 10 million consoles already and the Xboxes are easier to get. But yes it isn't the easiest thing to do in the world.

Pretty unfair to take a quote relating to feeling burned out and repeat it in this context, as though they're the same thing even slightly.

Of course it's unfair. The question he was answering in that clip is about someone who was feeling burned out and, frankly, whining a whole bunch. Not only is that different to console optimisation, the answer he gives in this clip is correct.
You're making them out as not giving a damn about the state of their game or the real problems it faces, and your evidence is... a clip where someone whines and gently gets reminded that the solution to feeling burned out is to change what you're doing. How convincing.

Oh don't get me wrong, never did i expected it to be easy.
The point is that they said they would make that happen and then stayed silent about it and as far as I remember, never came back on that topic to clarify anything about it.
If the announce it to make all platforms be at least 60fps then you can expect it that they can do it.
If however, and this is the case sadly, are not capable doing so, then at least man up and inform the community that you can't hold your promise because of unforseen difficulties.
They would earn more respect if they come clean about it than staying silent about the subject and hoping it will blow over.

There is no one thing "the community" really wants. There are very, very few things there's even a majority consensus on. If your goal is to prove that they don't care about what the community really wants, then godspeed and good luck pushing that boulder up that hill, because that's impossible.
It also doesn't account for that clip not demonstrating anything negative since he's still just right.

Yeah.
At first back when I started in early 2018, it was just stuck at 20-25 FPS, but it never ever dipped below that.
Then in maybe early 2019 the FPS as Survivor got bumped to 30-45 FPS but froze a lot.
Killer got pushed to 25-35 FPS but froze even more.
So yeah, it's always been hugely inconsistent.

Survivor runs better.
The game's optimization is awful. It gets brute forced by PC's and next-gen Consoles but current-gen systems struggle immensely with a game that looks like a PS2 game
