Pinhead is decent killer. He is not weak. And he can make game pretty slow. I am not surprised he has high rates.
Huntress is pretty popular, this is not surprise. I am seeing her more than everyone.

I would've like to see the kill rate of all the maps.
Cowshed is one of the most survivor sided maps, I'm not very surprised about that. The second, third and four maps with less kill rate are Haddonfield, Badham and The Game, I'm pretty sure.
Midwitch is in general a good map for killers, not surprised about that kill rate considering the bad state of the killer in general (less than 3 average kills even in that map).

This probably includes new players. You can't really criticize that someone who barely knows how to hit skill checks doesn't know that you need to keep solving the box, especially because for some reason this game doesn't have tutorials to play against each killer except for some useless loading tips.

I really wish they'd do a bit of basic stats and eliminate both extremely high MMRs and 'new player' MMRs - because Cenobite and Pig look strong, but in reality I'm 99% sure that their numbers are being thrown off by how vicious they can be for new players to face.
Some other interesting observations:
- Twins badly need help.
- Cenobite and Hag are really rare still.
- Wraith's nerfs were too much, combined with CoH. He's strong versus newbies, so the fact that he's that low means he's essentially useless at high MMR.
- Demogorgon is played more than I thought.
- Myers and Doctor are surprisingly popular.
- Blight is much less popular than I thought, considering how often I see him.
- Freddy needs a total rework. Being that unpopular for an iconic killer, along with astonishingly high kill rates is just off.
Cowshed doesn't surprise me. I'd agree with the other three, but I think Mother's Dwelling and Gas Heaven would also have very low kill rates.

Decent is an overstatement. He's mediocre. His 1v1 is worse than Clown's, as it's way less consistent and the Chains break when they touch air molecules. His 1v4 is 90% in the Survivor's control and gets removed in 6 seconds for about 45 seconds

I'm assuming it's considering all of ranks. When asked the question on why they nerfed some of the twins add ons, one of the devs said that at the high end of mmr, the twins kill rate was 'monstrous' even though their pick rate was low.

Why? She's actually in the lower part of the spectrum in terms of kill rates. Her pick rate on the other hand is top of the pile. She's always been the most popular killer when it came to pick rates ever since they started releasing these kind of stats.

I'm expecting another Pinhead nerf tbh. Low MMR Survivors artificially increased the kill rates, and then Pinhead got nerfed. It's going to happen again

- FYI they mentioned these stats are over all matches. So while they're interesting they're not as useful as, say, filtering the stats for just matches where all players are in a narrow MMR range. Personally I'd love to see a similar chart just for matches where all the players in the match were in the top 5-10% of the playerbase in MMR. I think it would be more illuminating on which killers have very different results at high MMR (e.g. Nurse. Also the devs mentioned Twins is another example, their kill rate is low for most players but the top tier Twins players apparently dominate and have among the highest kill rates in the game.)
- I'm totally on board with Midwich being a good map for killers. At least for me I tend to have solid results on that map, it's one of my favorite maps to play on. 😄
- In the stream the dev said it was "surprising" that Huntress was so popular. I don't think it's actually that surprising since Huntress comes with the game. I would guess that the characters which come free with the game would tend to have the highest pick rates simply because all the other characters need to be bought with shards or money. In fact, Hillbilly "only" having a below average 3.5% pick rate is more telling in a way because Hillbilly should by all rights be in the top four pick rates or so just based on everybody owning him. (For reference the average pick rate is 3.8%.) So that to me says something about Hillbilly being relatively unpopular among the free characters.

Huh? You don't eviscerate them on Midwhich? Don't get me wrong, when I was new, it was the second hardest map to learn behind RPD. But once I learned it, queue Drowning Pool.

Would love to see the stats broken down by low, mid and high tiers. Also would love to see stats broken down for solo, 2, 3 and 4 SWFs.

It depends. Midwhich against survivors who run early is a real pain for the killer i play.

His Box isn't hard to do even in Solo Q.
Against inexperienced players? Yeah, absolutely. However, Killer is OP when Survivors are new. That's how it's always been.

I'd say he's low C tier with Add-ons and mid-high D tier without. Basement Trapper is about as good as normal Trapper, maybe slightly worse or better depending on the situation

I will admit it is rng dependent. But I firmly believe he is one of the better basement killers in the game under the right circumstances. At the very least he is better than Pinhead. Rofl.

While these killrates seem low for a total average across all levels, it would have been interesting to see killrates at the mid to upper MMR brackets once people learn how to play killer. I would bet everything the killrates are probably 75% or higher as they showed them in the old stats. Good killers definitely win way more than survivors I will never be convinced otherwise.
Cenobite and Cannibal need to be reworked.

Killer has always been OP at low ranks. That's just how it is and likely how it will always be.
As Killer skill goes up, so to does Survivor skill. It's not a one way street.
So yes, while Killers like Nurse and Blight will see their Kill Rates (and probably pick rates) climb drastically, Killers like Legion and Cenobite will see both their pick rates and kill rates fall exponentially.

I see Pinhead a lot like Old Ruin. Chain Hunt is devastating if it sticks around, but the only survivors letting chain hunt get activated for long periods of time are inexperience players.
It would be nice if the devs would show us the breakdown of kill rates at high mmr, because you also have to remember the devs stated that SWF have about a 15% escape rate advantage over solos, meaning that a lot of these kill rates are likely significantly lower for high mmr.

The stats I'd like to see:
1. What counts as high MMR?
2. Kill/pick rate for each killer at or above the high MMR mark.
3. Map survival/kill rate at or above high MMR.
4. DC parameters - As in, did they discount matches with a DC before 3 minutes were up? Or just all DC matches?
5. What was the SWF ratio in these matches and what was their survival rate compared to solo? (SWF being a team of 3 or more)
This type of data would tell us something, not this generic stuff.

Because killer is so much easier. Killer shouldn't necessarily be OP at any level.
This overall statistic hides how much killers win when experienced with meta perks. There is a lot of new killers playing being matched with experienced SWFs causing the kill stats to be low.

You mean the Kill rates will drop with higher MMR. It's not only Killers that are getting better, it's Survivors aswell. Also, the higher the MMR, the higher the chance of a 4man SWF, which in turn means higher escape rate. The only Killers that'd keep a stable kill rate would be S and A tier Killers

The killer is overall much easier mechanically to pick up and play, since survivors don't know how to run loops, make saves, etc. Killer doesn't have to worry about that. As people learn to run loops effectively, make saves, get gens done, and learn meaningful counterplay, the power swings into the survivors favor.
