    You can't initiate a chase while invisible.

    Probably not in a chase, can happen if you're a 110 killer on certain loops as well.

    The Entity blocker works on windows when you are in chase, the chase mechanic relies on being in line of sight, not too far away (think it's 12m from memory), and the survivor must be running...dropping chase when a survivor is out of sight doesn't happen instantly either as it allows for things like jungle gyms etc.

    As a Wraith I am guessing you were cloaked at the time, which means you weren't actively chasing the survivor - you couldn't have hit them, injured them at any point for example.
