Survivor HUD Icons Seem Amazing!
Dwight is in chase, i should stay on generator.
Dwight is on hook and Meg is not doing anything. So i should stay on gen, probably Meg is going to save.
Dwight is on hook and killer is camping him. Okey i should focus on gen and then we can save him with teamplay.

This is greatest change. I know we are complaining so much but i will give that, this is one of the best jobs from you guys! I hope this HUDs comes to game soon. I can not wait for live version.

Hate to break it to you but this is just a concept on Reddit. It might come into the game but I doubt it’ll be as good

I will keep my hope. If they add this to game, this will make Solo exp better. And this will make more easy to balance killers and maps.
At least we know they are working for Solo-q exp and grind issues. They did not completely closed eyes and ears and they are listening community. I am happy for last Q&A.

I think this is great, especially as a person who is solo queuing when playing survivor pretty much any time I play survivor. I would really love this in the game!
(Sorry in advance if my wording is weird/I don't make sense) If people would think this system is on the stronger side (like in the sense of knowing what everyone's doing every second/updating the icon immediately), they can change it to where the icons update every 5 seconds/10 seconds/('x' amount of seconds) and/or even have a 20 (maybe even 30) second delay at the beginning of the match before the icons display any information.
I think the icons above are easy to understand/recognize, which is especially great when it comes to newer players. And all of the icons seem to fit DBD's overall aesthetic (some of them seem like Artworks from the game); doesn't take up much of screen space at all; and with the icons you can still clearly make out which survivor is which on the UI. Overall I am very much for a mechanic like this!

I like the buff but not all of those icons should make it into game imo, gens healing totems are cool. Even being camped could be in.
But chase and exit gates are a no from me

The chase is important, that's one of the most common things that SWFs tell each other: "the killer is chasing me"

Chase should definitely be in. It’s already in for the obsession.
Getting camped is something that’s debatable though, as they may even introduce something against facecamping..

I do like the concept that person made for the icons. One thing I really hope is included is when survivor successfully finishes whatever they were doing the icon lights up or something to show they finished what they were doing. So if someone starts cleansing a dull totem it lights up or does something to show it was cleansed. If I'm paying attention to the HUD and 2 survivors are on gens but leave at same time a gen pops, one lights up while the other doesn't I know it's because that survivor left an unfinished gen. Same for totem - if they are cleansing a dull totem it would be nice if it would light up if they finished it or icon just stops of they were interrupted for some reason.

I was about to say; the 'Blessing a totem' icon around the totem looks like it was lifted from the Stress icon from Darkest Dungeon. 😁

Next to the icon a progress bar could show up as well to show gen/heal/cleanse/etc progress.

Why not the exit gates. If I'm at a gate alone, I always wait around in case I can help body block. If I know the other remaining survivors are at the other gate, I can just leave and not waste mine or any of the other players' time.

This stuff should be heavily taken into consideration, but knowing the dev team, it will be something completely different which will unplease everyone. Like, for sure why would they listen to some random guy posting on Reddit?

Literally the last match I played in last night Wake Up came in handy not because of the speed increase, but because everyone could see what gate Jeff was opening. I'd say it has multiple uses.

there aren't actually; wake up doesnt show the aura of the survivor while theyre inside the gate, just shows the aura to all other survivors while theyre actually on the gate. even then, it serves a purpose by having extra opening speed
so again, solos shouldnt have to use perks swf get for free and believing they should perpetuates the balance issues in this game.

Please, Karu, you're making hard to play Devil's Advocate when you deconstruct my arguments with well-measured responses like that!
Empathy is disgustingly good for seeing fellow survivors in chase (and other places), and Windows and Any Means occasionally serve this function as well their intended purposes. Better Together is another perk that shows when you can work on a gen with someone (though it shares an indicator with some other perks, to be fair).
In your favor, there aren't exactly perks to see when survivors are in a gate or on bones, unless you count Bond, Aftercare, or Blood Pact. Which I will, because

And the flaw with each and every one of these? They're perks. Which must be ran by solo survivors, who lack any form of build coordination if they are not all on the same platform (ie. PC, Xbox, PS4), lack it completely if on Switch as there's no way to message there full stop, and prevent them from using other perks.
SWF get the benefits of all of those perks, and more (like Small Game's totem counter) for free. The only expense they must give is some oxygen to say "Oh yeah killer's on me, shack is gone." So, if anything you're further supporting my argument by listing more perks that give benefits SWF get for free, which is just all the more reason to buff solos and superbuff killers.

This would be amazing. I was suggesting it for years, we need it to make solo more comfortable and bridge the gap between solo and SWF and then the game can be balanced much easier. I would also add "heartbeat" icon, sprinting and crouching.
I hope DEVs will implement something like this.
