Does anyone else kill TTVs first?
Is it just me? Or are we not allowed to talk about this? Someone trying to make money off beating me in a video game disgusts me so I always put on the sweatiest builds available and tunnel/camp them out.

I think you've got more issues to worry about than TTV's if they bother you THAT much.
34 -
No, because TTVs are like everyone else in the game they just happen to stream too and I'm not that insecure to a point of getting offended by someone streaming.
Sounds more like a you problem.
22 -
Nah I dont focus in lobby and in match I have survivor names hidden so I dont even know if theres TTV until game ends
3 -
I wouldn't focus them, but I'm not going to hang around a lobby with four TTVs in it. Not worth the hassle.
10 -
No why would I treat them differently because they are streaming? I did watch their vods to see their perspective of the game when I was trying to get better at killer while playing as fair as possible. If you do I think you're kinda weird tbh.
3 -
I'm not even in the lobby before the game starts so i wouldn't even know if there is a ttv untill after the game is done.
Also a bit of a unhealthy habbit to just generalise all ttv's like that. Some are quite chill and fun to talk to after a match.

One is monetized. One is not. I have never until recently had people in my video games who are demanding an audience. I don't get paid if I beat them. They get paid if they beat me. I have a day job so the dollar amount is trivial, but it's more the point.
0 -
They're just players.
The problem is you, you want the 1min attention.
5 -
I don't care who is TTV. I am just chasing survivor i found first. And then this is going with this way. I am really not looking survivor names usually.
3 -
...
They don't get paid to beat you. They are paid to play the game and entertain.
Whether they win or lose against you is largely irrelevant.
Sport players get paid a much more rediculous sum to play a game that most people play as hobby. Do you hate them too?
9 -
What are you talking about? Are you that guy who said that streamers should pay every person they play with a few months ago. Their pay is completely disconnected from you playing against them. They get payed, IF they get payed, it's because of their personality or because they are good at the game or a mixture of both. People aren't showing up to the stream and watching and subbing or donating because they played with you.
9 -
Lmao I remember that guy. That was a wild read back then.
4 -
Am I the only one that leaves them until last? In my experience they tend to not only be the best loopers in the average lobby, they also seem to focus less on gens.
0 -
I can't believe people understand streaming so little, this is some boomer level takes man
4 -
I treat TTVs the same way I treat everyone else, and by the same rules.
3 -
The most TTVs are nice and you can watch your replay for free.
5 -
You need to beat them because you think that will hurt their revenue or I got it wrong?
You don't like people who make money playing video games?
If I am correct you are only hurting yourself with that mindset. Just play the game for fun without thinking about what kind of life other players lead.
3 -
All I do is watch back their vod and see if I made them mad. Oddly cathartic to see a salty twitch streamer mad BC of me
3 -
I feel that says much more about your mind than anything else.
TTV streamers are not automatically monsters, and most I've come across have been fine. Very few are demons; non-TTV streamers are the same.
The word "disgust" sounds very aggressive for such a petty thing. I'd look into that issue really.
4 -
I slap on a mori for the audience
3 -
jokes on you we also get paid if we lose to you so checkmate
13 -
I am a TTV.
I am not getting paid to destroy other players. In fact, I am mostly not getting paid at all lol
There are some people that do hunt me first, and I just try to use these encounters as an opportunity to become better at the game. But these encounters, thankfully, are EXTREMELY rare. Most people, I think, perceive ttv's as normal players (because we are), that later you can check their vods to see the game from their perspective and learn something new. At least when I'm playing against a TTV that's what I do. It makes me learn more.
Unfortunately, I can't really blame people for dodging multi-TTV lobbies, because many times they can be the most toxic/sweaty groups in the world. But the difference between them and the other toxic and sweaty groups is just their names. Also when I'm with my TTV friends, we are usually just memeing, which basically includes us roleplaying some stupid joke, like "looping after mommy huntress". Do we go down? Ohh, yeah! Are we having fun? Yup. And I think the killer, too.
The fact that you've used the word "disgust" makes me kinda sad. I'm not sure if you've had some bad experiences in the past with some streamers and now you are categorizing all of us in a negative light.
In short, you are the minority. There are certainly people like you, but I think it happened to me less than 5 times. It happened less than some funny meme joke, like Victor following me the whole round and the killer's name as a joke was "paid actor".
7 -
I treat everyone the same.
You know some of our friends on the forums TTV.
So you could be tunneling out some one you just had a fun discussion with.
No, I'm in agreement with @Marigoria
4 -
Am I the only one that jump into their stream saying "Hi, lets play fair & square" then have a record of my perspective then sending the vid to them?
1 -
Does this mean you stream? :o
3 -
So basically just because they make money out of their hobby (gaming in general) is making you disgusted about it?
I think you have some terrible issues mate and think you might need to see a therapist or something.
I wonder tho, how do you behave on your job if i may ask?
Do you destroy everything in the building because they make money of of you?😉🤔
4 -
That does mean I stream (sometimes) :3
4 -
TBH I tend to just avoid their lobbies. Twitchies always seem to be surrounded by their bully squad, or they end up just being super toxic if they lose. I have no interest in being a part of their #########.
3 -
Thats just griefing.
2 -
Not at all, I don't give them any special treatment either way but I actually would prefer to not eliminate them early, as I quite like going back and watching their VOD's of our match from their perspective. I learn a lot from watching to see where I went wrong and what I could have done better or what I did well
3 -
Take a break and eat a snickers.
5 -
bruh if youre going after people with TTV in their name, chances are youre just going after some one who enjoys streaming and wants to share their experience while chatting with other people, they dont get paid a dime unless theyre affiliate and can earn donations from viewers
Actual professional streamers who get paid from ad revenue in addition to donos dont even have TTV in their name a large majority of the time, so youve been tunneling out lil Jimmy who wants to relax and chat after a long day at work
7 -
The fact that you're mad about them making content and money off of beating you is confusing to me.
If that's the case, do you also not watch movies, TV, or Youtube videos? Because those are all things that make their money directly from you. Athletes make their money off of beating other people on a live broadcast. Are you against the entire concept of televised sports, then?
4 -
If you have that mindset, do you want to hear something very spooky? You've probably gone against more streamers without their link in their name than streamers with their link in their name. So you better start somehow killing everyone first (somehow), you never know they could be a streamer you're giving "free content" afterall.
Anyway, only more reason to hide all identifying information (names, profile access) that isn't directly relevant to the actual game in a mechanical way (survivors picked, items they bring).
3 -
Don't have much to say but you're completely correct they are only streaming in hopes to make a quick buck.
0 -
i kill them on sight or ignore them if there too strong
1 -
Yes, it's not the commentary, the humour, the nice chat and the gameplay they tune in for - it's the sweaty killer that tunnels them and ends the game early for them.
6 -
dude go outside jesus #########
6 -
Nope, but if I win against them I like to see the vod afterwards.
3 -
same honestly, if they're on another platform or didn't stick around for the endgame i like to stop by and say gg sometimes too
3 -
I let them go so that I can watch the game in their channel afterwards and learn how I could have played better against the team.
0 -
I always get sad when it was a fun match, and then I go check them out but they weren't live.
4 -
This is like Dave Chappelle's playa haters' ball come to life.
Just being spiteful and petty for the sake of it.
3 -
Most Streamers I've faced were always around for the Endgame to use it as advertisement, so that is usually not an issue.
But, when you win, it is always nice to see the vod.
2 -
but seriously there's more important things to worry about than playing against someone with TTV in their name, it's just people who wanna advertise and grow their channel.
2 -
Who is getting paid? I don't make money off of streaming. I just do it for like the 10 friends I have. Maybe 1 or 2 of them will drop a sub or some bits but you talking like someone is out here paying us like it's our full time job.
The majority of people who put TTV in their name to begin with are relatively unknown and have a small and chill follower base. You'll never see someone on like XQC or Pokimane level (people who ACTUALLY make money from streaming) put TTV in their name. You have an extremely weird perception of reality and what TTV streamers are
5 -
Yall are getting paid for streaming? *insert meme here*
1 -
like 70 quid every 3-4 months totally easy to live off
4 -
Funny enough the hardest ttvs to face are often the ones that don't have ttv in there name or use a completely difrent name so people don't dodge lobby because they are really really good
1 -
I too find myself consistently disappointed that my guidance counselor lied and told me I couldn't make money playing video games.
I'm not sure how taking it out on people who are actively living their goals out helps, but if it makes you feel better I guess you do you.
Personally I'm not into the idea of potentially throwing a match just because some kid is streaming a game for his classmates, hoping to avoid having to get a traditional career. I say, good luck to them. More streaming means more cloud storage, more servers needed by the companies that pay me to do my day job, so it's win/win.
As was already pointed out, streamers who actually make a living are well known enough that they don't need to add TTV to their name, and nobody is watching them because they win. They are either entertaining, or they go unwatched.
Either way, I hope you find a fulfilling life soon, so you don't need to validate your life choices by hounding kids in a game for the sin of trying to make their dreams a reality.
