Is the kill rate of Twins at high MMR only high because of Survivors killing themselves on the hook?

During the Q&A Stream on the 20th January 2022 it was said that the Twins Killer has a high kill rate at high MMR, and that the developers do not want to buff them for that reason (paraphrased).

Could this high kill rate be a result of Survivors killing themselves on hook when playing against Twins? This character is often described as not being fun to play against, and from what I understand the best strategy when playing this Killer according to top players is to camp. Therefore, when playing at high MMR against Twins the Survivors might just kill themselves on hook instead of playing a match that is boring to them, due to being camped.

I don't play Twins so I don't know if this is the case. Are there any Twins mains who can comment on this? Do Survivors kill themselves on hook more when you are playing Twins at high MMR compared to other Killers?

In Swish's first DBD Tournament, the commentators were taking about how in tournaments the Twins were so powerful compared to most of the killer roster, that the survivors pretty much had to play perfectly to beat them, and as the tournament played out this seemed quite accurate!

The Twins were also disallowed from being chosen until the final stages for this reason (as was Nurse and I think so was pre-nerf Spirit).

Not an expert, but Twins are also incredibly dangerous vs Solo survivors. I think it's a whole different game if it's swf

I'd hazard to say partially. They are extremely rare and a good Twins player is difficult to handle, what with their powerful camping and anti "regular survivor tools" kit, which causes them to be extremely unfun to play against. I don't think A LOT of survivors kill themselves on hook, but the strength of a good Twins player to camp while pressuring Gens is frustrating and at times feels unfair and unwinnable.

Do I think they are a strong Killer? Kinda? They promote "unfun" play (mainly camping) and the Toy Sword nerf pushes them further into this. I think the main issue is a lack of survivor knowledge and adaptability since they are so extremely rare to actually encounter.

Twins are both fun and boring. Boring is mostly because all the swap between and mechanics.

Viktor is most valuable as sonar. So eg:

Place Viktor next to hex devour hope and protect it all cost. Once they start to cleanse = pounce

Then play her as typical m1 killer.

Also the sonar is amazing to monitor hooks and slugs.

Slugging is quite mostly effective thing to do aswell.

So it comes back to the limbo. You have to play incredibly dirty and boring match

In Swish's DBD tournament, every single perk that counters the Twins was either heavily regulated or outright banned. Unbreakable? CoH? WGLF? DS? BT? DH? Soul Guard? It's no wonder that they performed so well when all of their counters were removed. Doesn't seem quite fair to make judgements off it.
