About Grind, Lets Talk
DbD has a grind problem and it gets worse with all the new content. So some questions were about this on Q&A. So what we know?
They are working on this, they knew grind issue. This is good, at least we know they are looking it.
They don't want to remove perk tiers because it will not be permanent solution. Grind will be issue again with new contents.
So what we should wait on this case? What do you think? Probably we will get new system, are you trusting BHVR on this case?

are you trusting BHVR on this case?
No.

I would lower the price of everything. Literally reduce the price of every item on the bloodweb by 2000 blood points each.

Removing perk tiers would make it better. But they wanna go with different way.
Mostly i disagree with you but i am with you on that.

We're getting a new system that would hopefully fix it permanently, and while I don't trust them on it I have a small amount of hope.
What I would, personally, do is to reduce the cost of everything related to how much you have unlocked. The more teachable perks you have, the cheaper everything is to purchase, rewarding people to perk variety and helping the grind massively. This could also scale with the game exponentially, until of course there's so many perks things become free, but that probably wouldn't happen for a while.

I mean, we need some kind of system that does not scale exponentially but linearly. I do agree with them on this.
One example could be: Bloodweb now has 150 levels, and every 50 levels you can unlock the character's teachable. Once unlocked, the perk is available on all other characters without unlocking.
I think the above is a bad solution, but it demonstrates a solution.
What they say is removing the perk tiers would be the same amount of work-time as developing the above solution, so they want to win some time in the long run. I think it's... probably okay..?
My main concern is that judging by the upvotes to the grind questions, EVERYONE is very concerned about the grind. So I feel like they should prioritize this issue a lot.

They've "known" about the grind for at least 2 years.
Yet in the recent QnA it's like the first time they actually directly commented on looking at it and really taking it seriously. It's hard to explain, but just listen to how they talk about it in the recent QnA, as if they needed 2 years of collecting data to really see that it is an issue.

What reason would I have to trust them, I've disagreed with bhvr on at least half of the changes they've made since I started playing, and only on very few cases have I come around to agreeing on changes I initially disagreed with but if there's one thing in the 3 or 4 years I've played its that our opinions don't ######### matter.

The grind has been a problem for the entirety of the game, the bloodweb system is just an awful progression system.
1 -
True. I'm mainly talking about the fact that after the first Bloodweb changes they never really mentioned the Grind until like 2 years ago. But only really in passing and "keeping an eye on it".

Yeah thats cause bhvr likes to think the changes that make it to live fix all the problems it was intended to fix and are to prideful to step back on it till they get enough heat for it, which can take years.
Still holding out hope they'll revert billy one day but if they do it won't be a revert it will just be another rework that will be a roll of the dice on whether it's a good change or not.

I am old Myers main. I stopped play because it is just bully simulator at high mmr/ranks. You can not play without anti-loop killers against good survivors because maps are terrible. I waited years some love for Myers but nah...
And like you said, they are just looking everything but job is so slow. I don't know when this changes will come to live. Solo survivor buffs, Legion & Ghosty buffs etc.

Oh yeah poor Myers dude's power has been left in the dust, hasn't seen base kit changes since October of 2019 and that was just a slight buff to his tier 1 his weakest state that you want to get out of as soon as possible. You'd think they'd want arguably their most iconic killer license they have to be a little more interesting.

I don’t want to imagine the amount of blood points I have spent on Jill/Claire she’s p3 with 6 pages full of perks. The devs love the grind so that’s why they didn’t remove perk tiers and won’t do anything

I have +2000 hours and i just p3'ed this characters. It is seriously so hard.
Survivors: Kate, Nancy, Steve, Zarina, Cheryl, Jill, Leon and Mikaela
Killers: Wraith, Myers, Freddy, Clown, Legion, Blight, Nemesis, Pinhead and Artist.
Most of killers and survivors are still p0. 2000 hours should be enough to full all characters for any game. But clearly not for DbD
1 -
They should remove the tier system in perks, that would cut 66% of the overall grind and insentivise people into possibly reaching p3
2 -
So far in the Q&A it's been nothing but overwhelming disappointment. Especially with these past updates. I lost all faith when they stopped caring about the more important issues.
So, to answer your question. Absolutely not.

Only Dwight, Kate, Nancy and Jill are p3 next I’m trying to get Steve and Cheryl there. As for killers I only have demo at level 50 and pyramid head 40. It’s taking a long time

Yeah... Hopefully they rework this broken system soon. I wanna p3 all characters. It is should not be hard like this. But at moment you need to play min 4000 hours for this.

I just cant believe they are not doing anything with the grind, on top of that +50% bp for one week and 100k bp code that expires before most people can claim it
And this is after they acknowledge theres a problem with the grind...
2 -
The most efficient solution would be to get rid of perk tiers. But if they dont wanna do that id say cut all bloodweb prices in half AND at least double the current BP gains. Maybe even have a 4x BP weekend every month. Guaranteed the player counts would dramatically go up.
Do i trust them to actually do anything or even read this post?
Nope. Not even slightly.

The biggest thing to take into account here is for BHVR this game is a business and the goal is to make money. That isn't meant as a critical statement. I don't think there is anything wrong with that. However, when you look at it from that perspective that means BHVR is looking at making changes to the grind for one of two reasons:
1) They think not making changes will decrease profits
2) They think making changes will increase profits
Of course making changes is often a combination of the two, but they aren't putting in the costs involved with making changes if it isn't beneficial financially in some way. That's why you still have things in this game like getting a skill check the moment you stand up from a generator yet having no way to hit it because you don't even get the skill check graphic. That little bug may be frustrating to players, but it isn't costing BHVR money. You can bet if it was costing them money it would be fixed in the next update. Once again that isn't meant as critical. It's just to say they have no incentive to fix something unless they think it will in some way positively affect their bottom line.
I won't pretend to know all the variables that will go into determining what action they want to take in regards to the grind. From a players perspective the best we can hope for is whatever action they think will be most profitable for the company is also beneficial to the players.
