You guys need to get over how SBMM works
Otherwise just play another game. There's a great post on the forums explaining if you guys can't comprehend it.

Nah, game was better without it. If you don't like reading about it maybe visit another forum.

No, we don't. When developers do things that make the game worse you provide feedback. What they do with that feedback is up to them, but no one should ever just accept things that are bad. That is how games with potential die. You are free to just blindly accept whatever they implement, but don't tell others they need to do the same.

So instead of the devs fixing their mess of a mistake the players have to leave the game for good? Interesting thinking.

People complain because SBMM is just kind of awful in just about every way. They make their voices heard because they hope The Devs will change their mind.

Or the devs could fix the issues that make SBMM such a drag to play.
Conceptually SBMM would be a nice addition, if the game was in a remotely balanced state that was enjoyable to play regardless of outcome.

There literally is no SBMM. I play at night and get matched with people that have 50 hours. Zubat has a video from the other day getting matched with someone that had 8 hours.

I like SBMM when it actually tries to make fair matches. For whatever reason, it prioritizes queue times to the point that I end up with arguably easier matches than I had with the emblem system.

Or, you know, I'll give feedback and discuss the game on the forum specifically for me to give feedback and discuss the game.
That said:
I think the game is better off with SBMM. It's not perfect, but perfect is always the enemy of 'good, and nostalgia is the arch-nemesis of 'better'.
It feels like there are specific periods of time where it gives me the most even, exciting matches I've had in DbD.
Then it starts pooping the bed.
I'm hopeful that the backfill changes help with this, as I suspect it's a time of day where there are too many survivors, and thus a lot of long queues and lobby dodges.
There is - the system just has some issues. The biggie right now occurs when someone (killer or survivor) dodges a lobby, and the system massively prioritizes filling that spot regardless of MMR. That's where you get a 10,000 hour pro matched with an 8 hour newbie, or me getting put against a full top level TTV premade.
The devs say they are changing this, and so I'll reserve judgement until then.

I much prefer the new system over the old.
But it ought to be seen as MMR. SBMM is not the system should be described as.

If I feel something has issues, I'm going to talk about it.

all the explanations and defense of the devs decision does nothing to change how MMR feels when put in place. You can say that MMR makes perfect sense from a devs point of view but if it makes the game feels significantly worse then it doesn't matter you will still continue to lose players and not gain them back. That post is basically a guy defending the helmsmen's decision to swerve from the iceberg on the Titanic while the ship is already sinking.

I basically agree - now that we understand (or at least have good cause to assume) that the problems are more in the realms of prioritising speed over accuracy and not handling groups or backfills particularly well, I think it's time to at least shelve complaints about what the MMR number is derived from.
Not to say that things shouldn't be criticised, but I think it's not too much to ask that criticisms be both civil and correct.

The problem with sbmm is the fact that they implemented it before actually looking at more important problems before putting sbmm in the game.
2nd problem is that they implemented a system that belongs in competitive games, yet they try to balance around casual play.
The devs want to go into 2 directions at the same time with the game which will never work.

I personally believe SBMM is circumvented by shortening Que times at night, thus having new players with experienced players. Just a theory.

Right... a company that implements SBMM but yet doesn't even balance around it and even if they do, you wont know until 6 months out and it's usually a tragic decision that get's information from primordial data.

Survivor Q-times 15 plus minutes.
Killer Q-time 0.1 seconds.
I see a BIG problem.

If you disagree with anything devs do just play another game.
Love these.
I can play a game while not liking something about it and voice my opinion. Just like everyone else can.
I am not talking about mmr. I adapted to it like I adapt to most things. But like I always say there is nothing wrong with people having opinion on something as long as they are civil about it.
Dunno why is this hard to comprehend in this age and everyone who disagree with someone "should leave". You are not supposed to like everything about anything. It is impossible.

Although I completely disagree with you, that was funny! 😂

Yeah if everyone that thinks so would quit the game, the playerbase would be merely a thousand players left. Lets see how BHVR thinks about this idea.

Hell naw.
The game was better without it, everyone saw it! The Emblem System or its old predecessor should have been left alone.
We complain because it is the only thing we can do. We complain because we foolish believe that BHVR gives a damn about what we think.
