Is body blocking with other survivors able to finish the gens and trigger EGC bannable?
Hello,
I found this post from @Peanits
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/36376/what-is-classed-as-bannable-body-blocking
"What you described is not bannable. It actually wouldn't work either since hitting them allows them to pass through you briefly.
Bodyblocking is bannable when it is used to hold the game hostage or grief, such as blocking a survivor in a corner and sitting there for a long period of time just so they can't play. Or sandbagging, where you intentionally jump in from of someone and block their path so the killer hits them."
This was made pre-Endgame Collapse. Back then the only reason to body block for any extended length of time was as Peanits said, JUST so they can't play and was griefing. Now, body blocking can be used to secure a kill due to Endgame Collapse, so it is no longer JUST so they can't play.
So my questions is if bodyblocking to EGC a kill still bannable (Especially if they are utilizing unhookable spots with anti-slug builds)? If so, what is long periods of time? When there are X gens? Only allowed during EGC? What is the threshold?

So you're saying there could be 2 gens left and you would potentially bodyblock a survivor and let their teammates do 2 gens and open doors because your ego is so small and you just HAVE to secure 1 kill even if it's by playing like a complete douche?
Is it bannable? Idk
Is it scummy as hell? Yes and you need to uninstall if you have to go to THAT length to secure 1 measly kill

Way to take what he said to the extreme lmao I think he means just body blocking after all gens are done not your ridiculous 2 gen example

How was that an extreme example. I thought I was being generous because I could've said 3-5 gens. But I'm also literally taking their example. From the title, it says "other survivors able to finish the gens" meaning the game isn't over and there are gens (plural) that still need to be done, but the killer has someone trapped in a corner and can choose to keep them there to be petty. I'm not making up an extreme, I'm taking the situation literally as it's presented.
I also meant this as a general "you" because the original post could be about someone doing this to him and seeing if they can report it so I'm not saying OP is a douche, but whoever would do something like this is

Yeah I would say it can be scummy, smol PP stuff unless they are abusing RPD with anti-slug build or something. However my question isn't "is it scummy" the question was is if it is considered "Griefing". and if so, what is the threshold of generators left needed for it to not be griefing?

Body blocking is bannable when you hold the game hostage with it. The reason it's ok during EGC is because there is a timer. You can't hold the game hostage when there is a timer that will eventually end the game. As a killer you could block a survivor in a corner without a timer and the game would go on forever or force a DC. If there is a timer or other survivors that can still progress the game it's ok.

If you're body blocking before EGC, even if it is one survivor and the others can complete gens, it is bannable. Here are screenshots from mods on previous similar posts about body blocking survivors.

Thank you very much. I was adamant that it would not be bannable, but apparently I am wrong. Thanks for showing me.
