Just a console reminder bhvr
That your controller settings are worse then in any game that has been developed 30 years ago.
That you cannot add 2 simple settings such as acceleration curve and deadzones.
Cannot do precise aiming. M2 is useless on pretty much all killers. That trying to adjust aim for 1 pixel with tilting stick a bit results in 90 degree turn. Where you cannot compete with lower sens due to survivors spinning 360 and m1 is fairly useless.
Thank god that twins are beast and needed a nerf. And that you are happy that console community spends money on dlcs and cosmetics

Its like playing going to play a hokey. So you play against a team, where all the players have expensive gear.

I am honestly sorry that I have bought this game, and spent 500hours on it.
I am sorry that I was convinced that controls feels just a bit clunky then you get used to it.
I felt sorry, that I even bothered to play any M2 oriented killers where for the aims I have to rely on A and D with strafing.
I feel sorry for myself that I have tried to convince myself, that BHVR is actually a great company.
Just for an offtopic and fun fact. After 2 months after release of Hell let loose for console, they have gather so much community feedback, and released an update which has been twice the size of the game itself.
From performance, to bug fixes and incredible QoL including changed to controller, which with personal tweaks of settings, it feels as playing with MnK.

Yeah. Trickster is almost unplayable on console. Fortunately I don’t like him.
A brightness option would be nice too. The game is way darker on console especially next gen as you’re forced to use max settings and there’s a notable disadvantage.

Grinding him for teachables was one of the saddest thing to do.
Cant ever counter sway from throws. Dagger flew more in 360 rather then into same direction

Just silently forwarding it to devs and ignoring the fact how horrible it is to play on console, and you just dont care for the QoL of it
Or should we all rather rant on how QoL is horrible for console (peasants) and we should deal with disadvantage compared to PC? And maybe play some other games, maybe a civilization?

I bought Trickster on console and the recoil is pretty bad, + no aim assist.
some killers also have awful controller layouts.
Yesterday I got Clown and you have to press the LB/L1 button to switch from Afterpiece Tonic to Afterpiece Antidote and press it back again to go back to the Afterpiece Tonic. A lot of time wasted switching back and forth. I don't know if they have the same problem on PC or do they have different key bindings for both actions. They need to add 2 different buttons for it on console.

Controller experience in this game is just horrible.

Huntress, plague, trickster, demo, twins - viktor, slinger, nemesis. You cant use m2 effectivly. Only viable is to zone them and adjust aim with movement
clown - literally in same line as them or hug them.
Oni - rush flick is sad.
bubba - if u try to m2 around tiles, there is a best chance you will hit the wall
Blight - Requires you to mind game survivor. instant 90 flicks are impossible, as you always need to pre-turn so you get the possible maximum of 90. If survivor goes a bit toward left and decides to go right. Your correction does not achieve max preturn - miss.
Rushing through tiles or laerrys is near to impossible, as if you do not flick turn - pov to exact location after bump, with next rush you will bump everything else then wanted location. Much easier to get also disoriented. As you bump some random wall pixel and spin as mad
Regarding door frames. Its like a lottery if you will manage to rush through.
Pinhead: M2 on him is viable. Tactical behind corner or through floors small chance to actually aim to desired location.
PH, hillbily: Dont play often. Cant comment
Nurse: tricky and clumsy, doable, but second blink can be pain to aim.
And then you are left with all m1’s and artist. WOOHOO. Now I can actually compete against better players with wraith or trapper! Maybe even as Pig

The devs don't work weekends. And I believe the mods don't as well, just do emergencies here and there.
More controller options has been asked for many times in the past, so they know. Sad there's been no update to them since double sensitivity was added like two years ago or therabouts.

Despite making up a significant portion of BHVRs revenue, console players are honestly treated as an afterthought, and that’s putting it politely.
I can’t remember the last game I played that didn’t have some kind of controller settings. It’s frankly a disgrace and BHVR definitely take their console cash-cows for granted.

If the bumping is only reason to ignore a problem and close the discussion, shows the incompetence of BHVR.
Having sucha low QoL and being always the underdog in matches with majority of killer roster cannot be ignored.
the game and DLC have the same price on PC as on console.
So it deserves equal QoL.
But then again, look above at sports analogy.

Blight was released at the same time for equal price.
Was it playable on controller? Not even close.
It took fair amount of time to make blight actually playable on controller. Cant argue its bad, but it could be also a bit better to be comparable to pc.

Its been a 3rd there where BHVR lacks to give a response.
it is HARD to COMPETE where controller scheme does not have close to equal performance as mouse and keyboard.
Do you lack of (ac)knowledgement that this is an ISSUE or do you need any help to brainstorm and maybe with a VPN, I can take a shift, and improve the settings.
Let me help you out:
Deadzone settings. It means how much of the stick has to be tilted before the analog value is greater then 0.
Acceleration curve:
The more you tilt the greater output it is. It can be huge and linear chart, or simple exponential with e^x equation.
Blight: Add a weight(multiplication) to preturn, so it can be done faster without requiring to preturn all the way to get 70 degree flick. Also it prevents you from correcting side/angle.
Result should be more as absolute value - MOUSE
GENERAL M2 settings:
Copy paste current and above settings to be specific for powers.
BONUS: Controller gravitational aim assist. When M2 is being aimed into proximity of survivor, manipulate sensitivity to help with precise aiming.

It’s odd that threads about this don’t seem to gain much traction. You’d think more console players would be vocal about how miserable the experience can be due to the lack of appropriate settings, which let’s be honest is a relatively basic feature that almost no game ships without these days. Especially when you consider we have to pay the same price for killers like Trickster, who verifiably doesn’t function properly with a controller.

my only real issue as a console player is that the movement isn't uniform between console and PC players.
You can tell when someone is using a controller and when someone isn't. I see that as a bit of a problem.

Would be nice if there was a console only crossplay option also (i.e Xbox, PS, Switch only). I mean you can do okay with a controller, but you are almost always at a disadvantage and it really becomes apparent when you start playing better and more experienced players. Add in lag spikes & rubber banding and the game can quickly becoming infuriating playing both survivor and killer.
Dunno if it's this event but been getting quite a lot of rubber banding during chases, which is super annoying.

Please for the love of God add deadzones. The first couple of ps4 controllers I got lasted literally years without needing to be replaced, now I have stick drift within months of purchase. I wouldn't say I play any more than I used to, so I feel like the quality of controllers has gone down and I can't drop $65 every time there's stick drift.

movement should be replicated to WASD instead of analog value. If you compare to keyboard. The start of movement on controller has an acceleration progress
Also killer does not need analog movement either. It has no potential

As PS4 controllers wear down, they become unable to register 100% when the stick is pushed in different directions. Because DBD requires the controller to be all the way up to run it means a lot of players don't realise they are slower than they should be.
It's very strange, considering that there is an actual run button that should be sufficient to run at full speed.

In Switch handheld mode you can barely see anything on most dark maps even with the system's brightness turned all the way up, autohaven is pure eye strain.

I believe you. Our beloved mods and CM do read this posts. They just dont want to say anything, we all know why. Because they dont care and if they officially say it, people will rant even more.

Been solely a killer on PS4 for over three years and main Nurse mostly. I do fairly well with all killers even Huntress but can’t for the life of me play with Trickster. Feels super clunky.
I’m gonna have to try playing on pc one day although I’m afraid I’ll love it and will know what I’m missing.
