Behaviour, I challenge you to play killer
Seriously, it's unbearable.
It's always the same thing, the same meta perks (dead hard over and over), the same types of survivors (extremely tryhards giving their lives for the game) and always the same abusive loops where there's nothing to do but just accept the fact that have 2 jungle gyms on the same side. It's exhausting to play killer in these times, you need to give your blood and sweat to get 1 kill.

I dont believe they have that high mmr

They won't or can't.

Your first mistake is thinking the devs even care enough about Killer to do this.
- Pentimento: A strong hex! Except it launches at literally the same time as Boons, which removes Survivors cleaning totems, which is what Penti needs. Clearly just a fake perk to appease Killers.
- CoH being OP as heck.
- The CoH nerf clearly being a hollow gesture to make Killers shut up without depriving Survivors of their OP perk.
- Boil Over being broken as all heck.
- The Quality Of Life wriggle change containing a Survivor buff because they literally can't alter anything in this game without giving Survivors something in return.
Sorry but this string of changes just scream 'We only like Survivors'. If this ain't the case, then someone needs to make them aware of this. Because as it stands, nothing in the past few months has been anything but repeated slaps in the faces of Killer players.

Killers have tons of fun when they're winning and 4K every single match from low to mid mmr.
But boy oh boy the second you play against semi competent players and survivors that know how to defend themselves the game is just sooooo unplayable for killers.
I'm not having fun anymore cause I'm not dominating every match.
9 -
::applies miniscule nerf that does barely anything to Circle of Healing:: - We're going to continue to monitor this perk and make small incremental changes as need
::completely utterly destroys Deathslinger in one quick guillotine slap::
- Devs

Congrats on the Us Vs Them that completely misses the point so you can feel morally superior on a forum. I'm sure it made your day. šļø
30 -
It's not about dominating! It's about having a Chance! But I guess you don't think about that because DBD has twisted your mindset on what PvP is really suppose to be, and not "The scale leans to one side"
13 -
I can see why your jailed.
6 -
People like you ruin this game. Play both sides.
17 -
Another person with glitched MMR that apparently does not go down when you loose?
MMR only has an effect when its extremely high, so yours must have some glitch where it doesn't go down...
0 -
Its not glitched, if survivors have to long of wait times it widens the parameters to the point that grossly inappropriate matches are constructed.
I can win multiple times in a row as survivor and still keep getting 1 perk at tier 1 killers. It's depressing.
3 -
Because my wit and raw charisma are too much for the forums to handle? š
12 -
Killer is fun until you get higher on mmr, and you immediately hit that brick wall where you go from chill, to semi-chill to sweating every match. It's immediately noticeable hiw different it is.
The difference is simply going against survivors that understand the map layouts, and know the loops that were given to them by the devs.
If 4 survivors know the loops, you will not 4k. Flat out. That's how it was designed. In those matches you have to test the survivors and try to find the weakest link of the 4 and try to snowball it from there.
I've had many high mmr games where I took to much time trying to catch the first 2 survivors I found bc both were good loopers and made it out with less than 6 hooks total and a 4 man escape.
1 -
You don't need a 4 kill most games or close to every game. Devs even said that's not what they really want for the game. So the faster killers get this in their heads, they might have more fun. I never tunnel from the beginning at all and never camp. I can still get 2 and 3 kills many, MANY games. And 4 kills some games top. Do I get wrecked? Sure but that's fine. Doesn't make me want to whine.
1 -
They don't care and I don't blame them. It's their game and do whatever they want.
You don't like it? Don't play. Simple.
1 -
Yeah, it's their game. But with them providing a service for which we pay, we as the customer can pretty much blame them, if they actually don't care.
In some businesses you have a sort of high roller, high-paying luxury upper crust that basically keep the whole operation floating, and you mostly cater to them and pamper their behinds, while the teeming masses get just enough, so that they won't complain too much, but still cough up enough money to make it worthwhile.
A good example is flight business, where a first class ticket can easily cost as much as 10x the price of an ordinary ticket. First class people can chose between 4-6 high class main courses food and order as much as they want, all flight long, while the normal peeps get two options, maybe 3 with a veggy option. Basically the whole flight caters to the 1st class peeps and making them happy, so that they continue to spend their big money.
Or gatcha games do the same, giving f2p players juuuuust enough to come by and stay in the game, and providing the whales with an audience for which they can flaunt their awesome collection and be admired, while the Whales keep the game running and the devs fed. Most mechanics favor the Whale players and their playing experience, while listening with one ear to the f2p crowd so that they get just enough so that they don't leave. (in case you don't know, gatcha games let you draw cards or digital pictures of characters, mostly in the anime style for money, and whales are the top dogs who sometimes spend 2-3k$ just to get the new character they want. In some cases even much more).
Back to DBD. Here we have an interesting situation: you got a pretty big population that's somewhat willing to spend some real world money for new chapters and cosmetics, but one part of the population is four times as big as the other, with both paying about as equal for their purchases.
So from a business standpoint it makes sense to mostly cater to that group, while only give the other one enough that they don't complain too much. BUT the big difference with DBD is that the less financial strong group is still vitally important to give the others a playing experience. Ideally you would need one killer per four survivors; well we don't know concrete numbers, but the killer numbers are probably much, much lower.
Many players suspect that the already stressful and demanding killer gameplay became more and more frustrating over the last couple of month or maybe half a year and that a lot of killer mains simple left because they felt totally ignored by the dev team. Well, you all know about this complaints and problems, I don't need to repeat all this stuff, but giving the killer population the feeling that they are second class players and that they are hit with nerfs and restrictions after nerfs and restrictions, while apparently the survivor side gets a lot of their concerns addressed, this didn't produce a good climate, and you can feel it in a lot of aspects of the game.

Seems like allot of people are choosing to 'not play'. That SHOULD point out that there's some major flaws, but I'm sure It's not a mass exodus of Killers. Nope.
9 -
Feel morally superior? No. I know I am superior. And not just morally. That is the life of a certified Killah.
3 -
Remember when Mathieu Cote played a game as hag and got destroyed by toxic survivors? I guess they did "a pretty good job so far."
3 -
They chained you up like a wild animal. This fools! The Entity will show them their folly soon enough.
2 -
Guess you like one side having easy mode and not even being a challenge.
5 -
That a healthy mindset for a game you want to keep playing?
1 -
It's a real problem in my last 15 games I've had 13 4 man outs 1 3 man and 1 2k yet I'm still facing full meta really good survivors. I've lose 275 mmr yet haven't seen a difference in survivors except for the 2k it was baby's that I had 1k and like 7 hooks at 5 gens and the other survivor killed themselves on hook so I felt bad and let 2 escape.
1 -
Challeng for devs play each killer for 10 matches at high mmr.
0 -
Actually, if every survivors is even decent at chase, there is no way to win with any killers less than B tier.
So yes, "playing against semi competent survivors (which has enough knowledge to counter pretty much every move)" is actually unplayable, because nothing you do will shorten the chase.
1 -
The whole "killers just want easy 4Ks" is just nonsense.
Many killers have gotten nerfs that straight up make their powers clunky and less fun to play as. Not to mention the various of recent killer nerfs that were very questionable. Newer maps keep coming with strong tiles while also being large making it such a time sink to down good survivors that you almost need survivors to throw in order to get more than 1K.
There's a lot of valid complaints killer haves that keep getting washed by "but the game is balanced, average 2K. You need to stop playing for 4K, learn how to have fun!". Killers can still 4K against higher mmr survivors, but survivors almost always complain about how they win because killers don't have any other option.
2 -
Or so you assume. As you cannot see your MMR. Unless you mean to confess using a hack client on the forums.
But yes, a LOT of people have this bug it would seem.
OR
MMR means nothing.
0 -
No I know as a killer each survivor thar escape is minus 5 mmr so with 13 4 outs that's minus 260 and and the 3 man out is minus 10 so I lost 270 my bad. The dev explained how it worked awhile back.
0 -
MMR means nothing in this game. I go against deathsquads even with killers ive played 2 times.
I'm practising a huntress now which by the way i have maybe 5 games under my belt and im going against sweaty 3000 hour players. It doesnt mean anything anymore. Game is just throwing whatever your way now because im assuming there is a lack of killers.
0 -
Killer is literally the ez mode in the game now. Survivors have been constantly nerfed. When was the last time you saw a killer main lose?
Killers put too much pressure on themselves. You should only win about half the time, not 99.98% of the time.

I agree with this statement. However, I also want to point out that being toxic, tunneling, face camping, high jacking the game, and otherwise being a jerk and stupid is the new norm here. Behaviour needs to look at the game, read the comments, acknowledge that they have broken the game, and fix it. Otherwise as stats clearly show, this game will collapse in on itself before the end of this year if not sooner. The concept of the game is simple. Most of the killers are at minimum super human if not supernatural. I understand that means that they can do many things that are above normal. Just even the field. Take away perks that give unfair advantages on both sides of play. Maybe give the survivor a means of defense? A way to fight back? Just fix the game back to when it was fun to play.....

Are you kidding? Did you read your previous comment? ššš ; all your comments are full of sarcasm, mockery and hate.

Almo used to. Though I don't think he has actually streamed DBD in half a year, last I checked his stream, so who knows if he still plays the game at all. Mclean also did, but he no longer works there.

I've talked before about "optics." Even if the devs weren't intentionally doing these things and it's merely a coincidence that so many changes and additions seem to be aimed at making killer miserable, it still doesn't change the perception and optics of things. When a dev team nerfs bottom tier killers, buffs survivors in the same patch, and don't deal with issues people have complained about, it paints them a picture. You can't do the things like nerf clown, nerf twins, nerf nemesis, don't deal with DH, don't really deal with coh, give survivors a wiggle buff, give survivors broken perks etc in the same patch and then go "why do people feel we are survivor sided?!" even if one doesn't intend to come off survivor sided, people notice a pattern and it creates the optics of being survivor sided. Last year they buffed THREE META PERKS for survivor and nerfed like...one? DS. Which is still in almost every game so it's still very meta. Survivors get buffs they never even asked for and killers are quitting. Also, even in Q&A's dash killer hopes by confirming they have no plans to make things better. I think that's the worst thing they do. When they do Q&A's and answer any question that's "will you make killer better?" with "No plans!" "Not in the near future!" "No." it just sort of dashes the hopes people have and causes them to quit, because they may have been waiting for a change and when you say "Nothing is changing" they just give up and lose hope.
Killer has a balance problem, a fun problem, and also a morale issue where killer players feel so defeated that they don't want to play at all and they don't even want to stick around because they have lost all hope. Most other companies would be doing almost emergency updates to fix these issues, but behavior genuinely at times almost seems to enjoy rubbing it in peoples faces that killer is going to stay unenjoyable. And even if they don't intend it, their actions give that feeling, and no one is forcing behavior to do the things they do. Most of the things they do aren't even requested by anyone.

A couple of years ago I played survivor and killer equally.
Today I have all my survivor rift challenges done with all my killer ones remaining.
There's a reason for this.
1 -
They don't have to prove anything to anyone.
0 -
Well just played a single game as killer in order to get a tome challenge.
As expected, a throughly frustrating experience with all the usual crap mixed in ("pro" loopers, "pro" flashlighters, "pro" bodyblockers etc).
Turned it off. More than enough for today.
I have all the previous DBD trophies on PS4, and as much as I like the Halloween and Saw franchises, I'm thinking about reducing my commitment. Trophies mean nothing, I just bang through the needed achievements to appease my completion OCD.
I'm not that bothered about non-licensed cosmetics. I share a prime account ans have been giving my amazon codes to someone else in the family.
Games are supposed to be fun, and with DBD I just don't get that anymore. It's one of the rare games I can get quite annoyed with. And the cause? Players. Not players playing well, just players being purposely annoying.
I recently purchased the Return to Arkham Batman games on psn. Used to love them on PS3. Now these are fun games. Not games that hate you with a greedy grind. True, they're not online based and are a totally different type of game, but they do what a game should do: be fun.
DBD isn't it. It's just a horror genre game with a couple of my favourite movie franchises included. That's it.
I'm quickly falling out of love with it and I've been playing since PS4 launch.
It just feels like a irritating waste of time.
And breathe.

Given the most recent updates yes they do.
