I've blocked at least 6 ttv players just today
I'm at a point where I'm about to just lobby dodge all ttv players. At least 6 today I've had matches against were absolutely disgusting in game and out of game in the chats.
It ruins games when you have to either tunnel them out bc they are being abnoxious, or ignore them and actually play the game and listen to clicking all match.
100% of the time afterwards they always get gross in the chat and call you names.
I guess they think this is entertainment? They are making themselves look like idiots live... their "viewers" are more than likely only watching bc it's funny to see them making themselves look dumb.
They are laughing at you. Not with you. Keep that in mind when you define to harass strangers when your streaming. You look like clowns raging in the end game chat.
Grow up. Get a life. People wanna have fun that's why it's a game.

You know blocking them in-game only stops friend invites from them, right?

Little by little The Mad Max reality is forming

I've seen about 3 of them today in my survivor matches I never see then maybe once a week. I wonder why they all decided to jump on today.

Streaming was a mistake.

lmao

Would be nice if twitch would take action on them for their behavior in a game.

seriously wondering if you people are just exaggerating, youre just unlucky, or Im just lucky that I keep going against cool TTV's
7 -
Yup.
TTVer - usually a dodge unless I'm on Hag, Demo or Doctor (who I can usually at least hold my own on) and more than 1 TTVer - dodge 100%.

I'm finally going to start dodging TTVers. I get really curious too much and watch the VOD afterwards when I'm playing killer, and they're almost always complaining about phantom camping/tunnelling calling me trash etc etc. Being toxic. Just yesterday I actually did tunnel someone out immediately because I saw them put down CoH. Because I hard tunneled them out, they had no boon totems the whole match (it was a 4-man SWF on comms) and I was able to win. I watched the VOD afterwards and it's non-stop trash talking and complaining (imagine needing to tunnel at 4 gens lolol) then whining that I didn't pick up a guy who had boil over and kept running to a height, so I let him bleed out. I watched the guy write a report to report me for tunnelling and watching his boil over teammate bleed out instead of picking him up for a free escape. Do people think that works? TTVers are the most annoying, toxic, entitled gamers

I started avoiding twitchies a month or two back and it's made the whole game much more enjoyable.
2 -
I like how .ttvs act like this, then complain why they always get tunneled, mori'd, facecamped, or having their lobbies dodged.
2 -
I love how some people generalize others without realizing that it’s always individuals. You may see a trend but acting like all ttvs behave like this is really close minded
7 -
Ya twitch is full of tryhards and some are amazing but they will usually make your life miserable
0 -
800 people talking toss in end game chat -shrug- that's dbd
6 TTVers talk toss -forum post- omg ttvers are so evil and they're trash sdonvowisdnviosdvonsd
5 -
Shrug.
It's like restaurants. It won't take me many bad meals to avoid that restaurant.
The Dairy Queen two towns over might be very good, but if I've had 3 crappy DQ burgers before, I'm not eating there.
'Generalizations' generally just refer to human beings seeing a pattern and behaving accordingly. It's probably evolutionary.
5 -
It probably is. And I am not saying I am not doing it myself sometimes. But reflecting on your behavior should also be part of you. Especially if you are starting to insult people (or even worse) for something they haven’t even done.
and accusing all ttvs for being toxic and deserving bad matches etc is.. well.
0 -
See - that's why I made the restaurant analogy.
Once I've ordered/wasted time in game, it's too late. The next TTVer in line may be perfectly nice - much as the next burger may be delicious. But if the last 3 TTVers I played against were butt turkeys or the last 3 DQ burgers were horrible, I'm not wasting my time or money further on that chance.
0 -
Yeah that’s alright, no one would blame you for not going to that restaurant again. But maybe you shouldn’t go out and call all restaurants with the same first letter as your restaurant bad and say they don’t deserve any customers.
your analogy doesn’t really have a place here. I am not saying you shouldn’t judge one ttv player based on their behavior. I am saying you shouldn’t generalize all ttvers based on the one/maybe even many others.

I'm not. But I'd almost certainly be less likely to even try that sort of cuisine, if I had more bad experiences than good, and I'd have to be actively coaxed to eat it again - and made assurances that this time will be good (this is literally me and shellfish, by the way).
There is certainly a sort of streamer sub-culture, and this seems to be extremely common in streamers that main survivor or streamers from certain regions (not going to name names). It's not universal, but it is widespread enough to be observable.
Some of my absolute worst, most obnoxious experiences in DbD were in games with streamers.
If I know the streamer is a decent sort, I'd be happy to play with them.
Otherwise, I'm not going to order the prawns.
1 -
i've had 1 bad experience with a ttv and the rest were either uninteresting or nice. sounds like you have bad luck more than anything else
1 -
It really does come down to time of day.
'Prime time' streamers are a mixed bag. Some nice, some horrible and everything in between.
Morning streamers...just no. If I see a streamer with a specific alphabet, I'm out. Way, way too many bad experiences - everything from hackers to 4man groups who do everything they can to take the game hostage and meme on you for 45 sodding minutes and then mass report you for 'non participation' when you AFK out.
0 -
Behold, my power.
95% of streamer I faced were cool, you're just so unlucky.

TTV stands for leave lobby
0 -
If people keep dodging their marketing team then they will hide names in the pre game lobby.
0 -
Not all TTV players are mean, i’ve ran into some really nice ones. Don’t take it personal if you have a bad match.
0 -
The solo ones are usually quite humble. The ones in groups however, can be quite disgusting.
0 -
I likes to smash TTV and watch them getting mad.
0 -
I guess so, but i’ve ran into nice TTV groups.
0 -
It depends on my mood, if I am feeling spicy I'll go full sweatlord and take them on. But if I am just relaxing I will dodge groups of ttvs.
Solo ttvs are no thing to me, and are often very nice (and also not all that good).
But I just assume groups are on some kind of BS, and I generally don't want any part of it.
I think I had some early experiences with truly obnoxious ttv groups that really set the tone (flashlight bully squads). One that I'll never forget was a ttv swf that were exploiting the Breakdown bug and running No Mither, which was one of the most annoying experiences of my gaming life.

Really? In my region/MMR they're really nice, whether they're killer or solo survivor. SWF TTVS on the other hand are so cocky, it's crazy listening to them act like I'm not a person.
0 -
Am I the only one that likes playing TTVs and watching the vods afterwards?
3 -
TTV doesn't automatically make a player good. Probably doesn't feel the best to watch someone's stream whos talking crap afterward though.
Have you ever tried turning off names so that you won't ever see a TTV again?
0 -
I like how you are putting us all into the same group. I play with and without the ttv. Am i toxic when im not playing with the ttv?
I do my very best to never be toxic to anyone and i defend the killer if i see toxic survivor, but hey..we are all just arseholes right😣
I get a lot of crap thrown at me when i play a killer. Should i just label all of you survivors toxic and nasty people for that?
1 -
I do, if it wasn’t for ttvs I would get clips of me playing demo. Or me getting a late game save I have seen the reactions
2 -
That was a sick lunge, he never stood a chance.
1 -
Really? I've only ever blocked one person for outside of DBD personal reasons and I was hoping I'd never get matched with them again lol.
0 -
Yeah it’s really just the friend invites. The devs have stated they don’t want a matchmaking block system because it would be abused and would mess with the matchmaking system
0 -
Am i toxic when im not playing with the ttv?
you got it wrong, as soon as you put ttv in your name you are toxic, otherwise not. :)
Also, many people kinda are labeling all survivors toxic and nasty people
but I guess it’s okay to label you toxic because someone doesn’t like fish or something. Don’t ask me, I don’t understand it either.

Guys, you are too fragile...
Even if they are trash talking you in their stream for made-up tunneling or camping... Why do you care? It is just some random dude who decided to stream for their 5 viewers...
1 -
Yes would be nice. I had a jeff teammate who was using blatant cheats like infinite flashlight, fast repair and insta heals.
Surprisingly he was a TTV so I went to twitch and reported him for cheating. And he happily keeps streaming long time after so twitch is probably as slow as bhvr with banning them
0 -
Made up? Nah, I did it, and I loved every second of it.
0 -
The TTV's I face aren't bad... either at the game nor in manners
0 -
Thanks bro!
0 -
Yep, the last ttv I got had a fog whisperer and twitch charm, someone disconnected immediately, I died on hook to get out, he proceeded to face camp and slap, shake his head at the one Claudette that was hooked while the other was bleeding out.
0 -
And that is why most ttvs are stuck with 5 viewers
0 -
Thats what I always do. They crave attention. All I get is negative experiences from them
0 -
i dodge TTVs on sight
0 -
I camp and tunnel ttvs for the lulz. Their reaction to it reveals their true personality. Bring their egos down a notch and all is revealed.
