People already complaining about the new boil over change.
The people complaining about it shouldn’t be allowed to speak on changes because they clearly have no idea what is busted and what isn’t.
I’ve seen people who are complaining about the boil over nerf saying that noed has never been nerfed… I mean, do you really want to hear what they think if they don’t even want to understand how BROKEN og noed was?
For ######### sake this community will never be happy with ANY change the devs make because if it’s a buff to killer (even a small buff) survivors will want it removed and vice versa.
This community is an actual joke, and not even a good joke.

They could delete noed by now for all I care. Never used it in the last 3 years and it would pull the rug under all those people using it as a counterargument. Not that they wouldn't find something else in its place, maybe ruin, undying or tinkerer or whatever.
11 -
People would rather complain than learn counters. It makes actual legitimate issues near impossible to find in a sea of tears.
6 -
You mean like the killers who couldn't bring perks of their own to counter Boil Over? Or slug?
4 -
But NOED was nerfed. Originally, it wasn´t a Hex perk...
I think the biggest problem is, that we have a very loud minority that only plays 1 side of the game and has no empathy for the other side.
We need more players that play both sides. So people change their opinion.

Killers who only have 4 perk slots, which need to dedicate 2+ to gen defense? Nah they just said ######### it and started camping and tunnelling to make it 3v1 asap so they could combat gen speeds. The ones who were against the BO troll squads just started slowly bleeding everyone out. They complained because, even when winning, it was extremely bad for the game health.
Sure there are plenty of killers who cry about things that are unreasonable, but pick your battles lmao.

Funny thing is noed has been nerfed over the years. Wasn't it active at the start of the match when the game first came out?
4 -
This one?
8 -
Exactly. It would be active at the end and there was nothing survivors could do about it, then it was given a maximum time of 2 minutes. Now it's a hex perk that can be broken at the start of the match, It's been HELLA nerfed and so many die hard survivor mains fail to realize that.
5 -
Right on the money.

I agree with the last part 💯

One missed dull totem is all it takes. One dull totem that can stand for well over two minutes if it can't be found, or is near a hooked survivor end game. So I wouldn't exactly call it a nerf, though it can prevent the perk from activating at all. That's usually not what happens for several reasons.
1 -
I’m fine with the boil over change, still think it’s a good perk.
2 -
Thats ok though because if it's OK to bad hex spawns where survivors cleanse it in the first 20 seconds it's OK to have great hex spawns where the killer gets max value. Its the whole risk reward it can never activate but on the other end it has to be equally as valuable. Pretty much if the value of it can be nothing it has to have the chance to be extremely valuable. If it could be no value but at best OK the risk isn't worth the possible reward.

Nah, those like you shoudnt be allowed too. Cause youre too short-sighted for talks about balancing. Devs are going to set the perk back to trash-tier. Thats just actionism and has nothing to do with balancing at all.
1 -
I believe at that time stuff like Brand New Parts auto completing gens in literally one second existed.
0 -
NOED isn't even busted LOL
1 -
Forcing slug is like forcing survivors to use hatch escape, it's not a normal gameplay and the reason why it's getting fixed.
3 -
Proved my point right here. Failing to see something that is blatantly busted and abusable and saying I'M the one that's wrong. BRUH
1 -
So when exactly did I say that the perk shouldnt be revisited? You just proved again, that youre too short-sighted for balancing talks, if the only thing you can think about is that the perk gets trashed again.
1 -
Imagine thinking perk is "trash tier" when it can still get bunch of wiggle out if you are smart enough.

IMO Boil over itself wasn't OP and even with flip flop and no mither/unbreakable is wasn't. I dont play in swf 95% of the time, so im guessing thats when its op, that is if the swf dedicates all their perk slots to it with breakout and stuff. Then you also need a good map for it. Just so many variables needed to happen for it to be op. And even then iron grasp can put a stop to a lot of this. And RPD library has 3 hooks as well now. So in soloq probably never use it again after the change.
0 -
Even with Iron Grasp and Agitation, you weren't able to get hooks as long as survivors are on safe zone.
So no, it was broken, not even OP, just broken.
4 -
I've ran boil over, flip flop, unbreakable and no mither for several hours now over 4 days, before that had flip flop power struggle unbreakable for testing with it. It's really hook rng dependent on most maps. And then when i wanted to actually get any value I had to waste a few minutes looking for hooks and then calculating the best spots. Again all soloq. The only time I was really guaranteed value was old RPD library and temple of purgation. THe other times i was lucky with hooks spawns or the killer walked past a hook due to not seeing it.
EDIT: To help the killer argument (cause i play both) on one of the swamp maps I had a naïve killer who kept picking me up (soloq) on swamp map forget which one and I literally broke free over and over until all 5 gens were completed. Guess what camped and he had noed lol. I have video if anyone wants me to put it up lol.

It doesn't matter how it works in normal gameplay, problem is always "abuse".
So your experience of it doesn't matter, I know it's nothing for most of times, but the fact people can abuse it to extreme is enough to rework/nerf.
0 -
Ok, I'll play your game. Where did I mention the perk needs to be trashed, where did I mention that? Pretty much what I said was, that survivors who complain about this new nerf are the ones that didn't see the problem with it. I don't want the perk trashed, I want it to be fair. The fact that people were able to abuse it so god damn easily made it a problem. 25% wiggle progress gained from literally any height greater than a foot, how is that NOT broken. I mean ######### lower the number or remove the bonus and just make the effect on the killer greater. Tell me how I'm short sighted when you only got a tiny bit of my views on the perk.
I want survivors AND killers to have perks come in and out of the meta, I want the meta to be more unique then it is. Boil over wasn't meta changing, it was a problem, a problem that is hopefully fixed with this new change.
Maybe use your brain instead of playing with it like play-doh.

I never found Boil Over to be that big of a deal to begin with, you can literally just turn the camera the opposite side of which you're moving towards to nullify the perk's intensity of the Struggle Effects.

Boil over is too much - I survivor main & play killer sparingly
I imagine Xbox One/PS4 killers struggle the most with it
0 -
The struggle effects wasn't the problem, hell I wouldn't really care if they upped it to 200%. The problem was the 25% of wiggle progress survivors got when the killer carrying them dropped from any height greater than a foot. Survivors were able to abuse this aspect on a large number of maps completely negating the killers ability to hook them, and then when they wiggled off they'd go right back to where they got downed because they knew that the killer couldn't hook them there. Like upstairs in the library of RPD, or the top of Thompson House.

I don't find the effects of wiggling to be a problem on ps4. It's a pain when you're on an indoor map (Lerys and RPD) but aside from that I haven't had problems.
The main thing for the thread was the 25% survivors gained when the killer dropped from a height greater than 1ft.

This doesn't surprise me, considering some people complained about the rework DS received back in 2019. This game always had people crying because their perk wasn't going to be so broken anymore.
0 -
Hey, as long as you admit it was busted instead of the legions of killer mains that insist they were getting disgraced by a troll perk, I have respect for the opinion. It comes from a logical standpoint instead of some overly emotional one.
2 -
I find it so funny that people compare dead hard so much to noed, yet you don't see the latter as often as the former. It's almost like noed isnt that OP busted perk that everyone makes it out to be...?? Otherwise you would see it on almost every killer build.
0 -
No. Killer mains not understandIng what perks are viable does not make it bad. It is obscenely powerful, there are other reasons it is not run. Some people convince themselves it is for baby killers. Some can't handle a survivor main baby raging end game about their perks. Others prefer gen defense to emulate the days of pre mmr. Some are trying to prevent their mmr from going up.
NOED is VERY strong, not necessarily for the instant down. The speed is better. End game pressure to make them do totems is better. The instadown is the cherry on top, really.
3 -
Then I'm curious as to why people go absolute ape rage mode when they see Noed in endgame chat, when you won't see as many people in end game chat complaining about Dead Hard. I do think Noed can be strong, but DH is most definitely more powerful. It's ability may seem small, but it comes in the most clutch moments, extending chases for way longer than they should've been, without a counter to it (assuming you're using it for distance).

You serious? Just look at your opening post. You just complained about people complaining about the change. Nothing about people not getting an issue, and more importantly nothing about how bad the change is for the perk itself. You just showed again how shortsighted your are. Its kind of comedy what youre doing here.

So one of your solutions is to lay face down for 4 minutes.
Great game play.

I'd still like to see it be more viable as a stand alone perk for solos. Current state I still feel like one would need an additional perk or 1-2 Petrified Oak to make it worthwhile on its own merit.

Slugging doesn't have to mean for the whole four minute bleed out timer, but go on.
