The extra 25% wiggle progress is OP. Everything else about it is fine.

Overall I don't think Boil Over is "overpowered". In my matches I've lost a few hooks to the increased stagger and haven't lost a hook yet to the 25% boost from falling. That being said, though, there are obviously map specific cases where there is a potential for abuse or exploits to make it practically impossible to hook a survivor in an unhookable area. RPD Library is the most commonly complained about one, but there's a few others that could be problematic too. The issue isn't necessarily that Boil Over is overpowered on these maps per se, but it's more like Boil Over is exacerbating issues on maps with insufficient hook placements that already existed to some extent.

We'll see what happens, though. I'm pretty sure the devs already mentioned Boil Over as something they're monitoring, and they'll almost certainly want to do something one way or another about those spots where hooks are impossible, either adjusting those maps or toning down that 25% or both.

OP is the wrong word. The right words are easily abusable and unhealthy.

It's not OP. In a swf, with a build around it, on certain maps it's broken.

only op on RPD, but thats not the perk that the stupid hook spawns

It’s unhealthy on certain situations (build around it, and matching offering eg RPD). But it isn’t OP on its own.

imo the best fix for this is reduce the instant wiggle progress of 25% to probably 5% or something AND fix hook spawns on the now often mentioned maps/locations

I'm not sure what to vote, on some maps Boil Over is beyond over powered, especially with SWF. However on other maps it's just mildly inconvenient for the Killer and annoying, but it still doesn't really do anything.

On the maps where the Killer doesn't stand a chance in hooking a Survivor, the best thing they can do is just slug them there, which isn't fun for anyone and just wastes time.

OP, no, however, 100% abusable, annoying and unhealthy over all? Oh yeah, no doubt.

The perk by itself? No. But the perks synergy with specific other perks, will definitely become abusable.

As of right now I think it is over the top. Even if there are situations where it’ll be useless having a perk capable of creating impossible situations will never be ok. Also I don’t think the map specific argument holds any weight when you take into account that map offerings exist.

If swf wouldn't be a thing then no. A lot of swf's abuse this perk and make the game impossible for killers.

    It’s only good on RPD.

    Overpowered isn't the right term.

Abusable, exploitable, and game-breaking on several maps (not just RPD btw)? Yes, absolutely.

I hope the devs don't take the current standing of this poll at face value and at least take the time to read the comments.

Many of those that say it isn't OP seem to agree that it needs changing.

Thats a definitive yes on my part. Used it on iron works of misery as a solo player... the killer couldn't hook me if i put myself in the right spot. That is just one example other than RPD... pretty sure we can find other problematic spots on a lot of maps.

Yes it is I had a match on Azeroth the one with the house a guy with a David perk (the one were you have to stay damaged) was camping I; the corner of the house baiting me I pick him up drop and Insta off,I go up and down but I chuck him down I downed from the balcony and picked him up and he instantly got off again.

The perk needed a buff because it wasn't very useful, but IMO it was enough to just raise its stats without adding the 25% drop component. I don't even understand what the reasoning behind the drop component would be except to facilitate trolling by running to isolated locations.

Not by itself, but it clearly has an extreme potential to be broken.

    No, just terrible game design.

Useless in most situations, yet it can be used to completely deny a hook in the right situation, thus forcing the killer to slug, which is extremely boring for the survivor.

Well on select maps it can be op, but recently I noticed hooks in high places to prevent abuse of it.

Annoying? Absolutely. Poorly designed? Absolutely. Abusable? Again, absolutely. Overpowered? Not at all.

It's not OP - just annoying.

Bad design and needs to be reworked, but not incredibly powerful.

The extra wiggle progress from dropping down is pretty insane and annoying to go against. I've had to let survivors bleed out because of them running up somewhere I have to drop to get to a hook in time and they run flip flop as well. I've seen another strategy to drop the survivor down a level but it's pretty frustrating to go against in its current state. The hooks aren't placed well enough on a lot of maps for the perk to stay as is.
