What is the primary goal of the killer?
For survivors it's escaping the trial, which is also the only thing the MMR system is looking at.
Therefore the secondary goal would be to complete all 5 generators, right?
But for the killer it confuses me a little. The game is telling you in the loading screen, that "Hooking Survivors on The Entity's sacrificial hook is the Killer's primary goal and is therefore one of the actions that awards the most Bloodpoints.", but the MMR system only looks at your kills at the end of the trial...which would be the secondary goal?
Or is the secondary goal to stop the survivors from escaping the trial? Shouldn't that be the primary goal and hooks the secondary goal?
Although, hooks LEAD to kills.
Just like how shots lead to goals in hockey.
Maybe you should just cut the middle man out there and just say killing survivors is the killer's primary goal.

My goal is to kill, plain and simple
secondary goal is to keep evidence of toxic players, report them, and get them out lol.

You’re reading too much into a loading screen blurb. The goal is to kill the survivors. Usually hooks are how it’s done but that’s not the only method obviously.

Once I figure out how to report players via sending images, it'll come in handy.
(Its only been 4 days since I made it)
Bigotry has no place anywhere, even online games -w-

Alright, I thought in-game advice created by the devs would be a trustworthy source...

I mean hooking survivors is the main way to kill them??

It is trustworthy, hooks are among the highest scoring bloodpoint events. But that’s not the only way to kill survivors as I’m sure you already know.

Yeah, that tooltip is referring to the primary way that you have to complete your goal, which is to kill survivors. I believe the tutorial clarifies this a lot more clearly, though it's been a little while since I went and did it.
Not the most clearly worded loading tip ever, but the killer's primary goal is and always has been to kill the survivors, and hooking is being used as shorthand here since it's the primary method of doing it.

Yes exactly.

that's not what this tooltip is referring to though, it clearly states that HOOKING is the primary goal of the killer, not killing them or stopping them from escaping necessarily. Hooking is the killer's goal, but the SBMM system doesn't care about the killers goal, but instead makes up it's own rules.

Again, it’s just a quick tool tip for brand new players who might be like “what am I supposed to do after I hit someone?” You’re reading way too much into the tool tip.

...I'm not sure we agree, I'm saying that kills are the killer's goal, NOT hooks. This is just a poorly worded tooltip talking about bloodpoint gains from the hook action.

Shouldn't it be "Killing Survivors is the primary goal" then?

Killers goal is to kill. You do it eather by hooks or by mori or by bleeding survivors out. Newest way is when survivors just literally cry baby rage DC after getting downed once.

That tooltip was says that Hooking Survivors is a good way to get more BP...
The goal of Killer is to get kills... And not allowing the Survivors to escape... But that allows Camping and Tunneling

Primary goal is to earn a ton of BP to get 1000 brown add ons on Hag

To please the entity, if the entity wanted survivors dead right away, it would kill them itself.

That loading tooltip was in the game when it was first released i think. That's why it emphasises bloodpoints as that was the victory condition in the past.
I wouldn't read to much into them, they are outdated.
Another example is that one tooltip that says how quickly you blind killers is based on addons but that has been removed and you always blind at the same speed now

I feel like the tooltips need some updating due to this reason.
