PC Survivors: Why do you guys always ragequit?

No, seriously. It's honestly crazy how many PC survivors ragequit because they go down too fast. Three games in a row today I had at least 1 PC survivor ragequit because they got downed in seconds. You leave your team at a 3v1 disadvantage and that makes the game insanely difficult if not impossible depending on the skill of the killer.

I can tell you that I haven't noticed there being any more PC Players than Console Players that rage quit. In fact, as there are MORE Console Players, I see far more of them DC on a daily basis. Statistically, I think the percentages are probably the same. Bad sports, spoiled and entitled losers seem to come in an inexhaustible supply.

  • Nothing to do with them being PC players; that's just a thing survivors do in general and idk why. Killers are like "Oh boy, easier for me" it makes no difference to them. They do it when like...they would be dead in about 5 - 20 seconds anyways as well the DC penalty is longer than that so there is no excuse beyond "I am mad and it's everyone else's fault but my own"

    It's just ego, that's it.

Disconnecting makes them feel like they won because they denied the kill or hook from you.

I play on PC and I have never, EVER DC'd from a match.

    Yes, NEVER.

It's not just PC survivors, but rather survivors across all platforms.

Survivors dc across all platforms because they're salty. That being said I play mostly on PS4 and every time someone dc's, in my experience, it's someone with a globe icon.

You don’t know for sure if they’re PC or not. All you know is whether they’re playing on the same platform as you or not. That’s it.

Usually b/c of killer things like tunneling

Or teammates being absolutely brain dead

Ex. teammate drops god pallet in shack when gen hasnt even been completed, being hooked and seeing 3 teammates doing no gens and 2 of them running towards you for the unhook points, teammates that do absolutely nothing but dive bomb and kill their own team, etc.

I once confronted a survivor at red ranks who was a ttv and his reasoning for d/cing was b/c I stole a chest from him and that was reason enough, lol.

Well if they go down in seconds of a chase sounds like they were disadvantaging their team already.

    A) Why do you assume they're PC players?

    B) As a PC player; I usually get full lobbies of console players and I can easily say the same about you.

Ive only ever seen console players DC. I couldn’t imagine doing that. It’s a skill level difference between pc and console so I get that it’s frustrating playing with better players all the time. I just couldn’t imagine being so bad that I would DC. I guess you meant to ask console players?

I'm not DCing out of rage, I'm DCing to safe my house from complete annihilation

Imagine thinking that globe symbol is only for PC players.

people really tend to assume anyone with funny name instead of Xx_SuperProGamer_xX is from PC, I have been matched with a lot of globe icon gamers with weird things that make me wonder "why do people waste their free name on these" here some examples, again, I play on PC

and yeah these people didnt do anything wrong in the matches so it's fine

I don't know if i see more PC players DCing but i guess the penalty is not as bad for PC players because they can just tab out and do other stuff, the console players are just stuck there lmao

I dc against none fun killers. Like endless tier 3 meyers, 1 shot hatchets huntresses, especially if they slug me.

Ill take my 5 minutes, and screw my team over. As random survivors usually screw me over as well.

Its not always but it happens. I answered the question asked, am I proud of it, no, do I ever play one shot hatchet huntress yes. Do I get mad when people dc against me. No, everyone have thier own terms of fun, and you are in a new game in 10 minutes. 3 games in a row, with my definition of unfun, and i play something else for the rest of the evening.

I do when my SWF buddy is on PC and lets me know if they're PC or not. Spoiler alert: 100% of them are.

o rly? How many crap console player are there that they disconnect even when they get hit to early. and then their friend disconnects aswel.

In my experience, console survivors tend to disconnect way more often, especially while they're on the hook which makes zero sense.

Yes, apparently responding to an insult on the forums with an insult results in that. But there's no point contesting forum moderation, so there it is.

Still doesn't change the fact I've never DC'd out of a match with any Survivor. If you die, you die.

How do you know they are on PC? The globe icon just means they are on a different platform than you. If your on xbox and you see a globe couldn't they be on a Playstation or a Nintendo?

As for DCing itself. It's been around since the game launched. There will always be people who quit for no damn reason other than they are salty. What I hate is when your playing killer, someone rage quits and the remaining 3 get mad at you. It's not the killers fault someone quit. They should be yelling at their teammate that ditched them.

When I play killer, I see console players DC more often than PC players. Since the DC penalties came back, I don’t see DC’s very often. Maybe once every 10 matches or so

  • Orionbash
    Orionbash Member Posts: 765

I said it above, but... someone had asked your question when I asked why previously so I started SWFing with a friend who I know plays on PC and after every match he's been confirming who the DCers are for me. In the 3 matches I mentioned above, 100% of them were PC.

It is a testament to be said of the quality of gaming experience on both sides that killers rarely ragequit because they have no reasons to do so. Maybe if their ruin (crutch perk) was destroyed when the match first started or it was an entitled huntress on Haddonfield that expects an ez 4K every game. It is the only times I ever saw a killer quit. Because there is so many survivors that come and go out of the game, the devs can push the problem under the rug. The best thing survivors could do is not play.

  • Orionbash
    Orionbash Member Posts: 765

I've definitely made my fair share of killers ragequit. Everything from cleansing ruin in the first 10 seconds of the match to looping for 5 gens into the exit gate. I don't really care if killers do this because I technically win and still get points for it. But when a teammate does it its beyond frustrating.

Yes it’s all players but 100000% mainly PC. PC nerds constantly bash consoles players when they have the better advantage with stronger machines and usually hard lines connections for less lag. The fact they can change their user ID over and over and create new accounts is sad and stupid. They have a mouse and better handling and unrealistic body movements and technical pluses as well. It’s bar none. Undebatable and ruin the game. Survivors don’t have a harder time at all. Killers definitely have it worse. SWF is the worst concept ever in a game and bullying and streamers not taking game seriously for their views hindering the oblivious players with them also. List goes on and on but at the end of the day the company doesn’t care as long as comestics sell. Trutalent is a great example. Great great player but obnoxious and a whiner.

There is actually some kinda bug going around with xrossplay on that is dcing players if the killer is console on their first hit. Sure maybe some do dc but 2 of my friends got dced aganst a console blight the servers arent handling the connections properly and dcs them from the match. If i wasnt in discord with them complaining about people dcing all over the place id think they did it on purpose but something is up atm with xrossplay connections
