I don't escape a lot, I'm not the best survivor and I'm not afraid to admit that. Literally my third match of the day me and the randoms get rocked my a nurse with no perks or add ons. Literally nothing we could do and nothing we DID do helped us. Turns out the nurse has won 6 tournaments and have been labeled "The best Nurse on PS"
Why is someone like me being paired with people who do tournaments.

MMR makes no sense honestly,its like it does nothing.

MMR is capped so the best players will eventually get paired with the not-the-best players, otherwise they would have insane queues. It's not different than what happened at the old rank system.

Yeah I hate how mmr tends to pair me and my friend with people who basically get killed early on like are they expecting us to carry bronze and ash ranks against gold and red killers gtfo

MMR is rounded down to a certain number when someone exceeds the cap. This coupled with long wait times i.e. expanded acceptable MMR ranges can lead to this. If they don't round down the extreme outlier players, you run into situations like the earlier MMR tests where some of the better Nurse players I know of had 4+ hr queues.

Do gens, do bones, run around things efficiently, and you'll be fine, as long as your teammates have an IQ higher than an ape (fun fact, some apes have an IQ estimated to be around 60-70.)

So there's literally nobody at my skill level aside from the survivors I get paired with. Huh, wonder how that happened, totally isn't because dbd is dying and nobody wants to play or enjoys playing killer anymore.
You wanna know what's funny, when I play killer I get the survivors that that are far out of my league, so where the ######### are THOSE survivors at when I get dealt the ######### end of the stick as survivor? Shouldn't they be getting the ######### tourny players instead of me and any of the other 3 sorry saps that have to deal with it as well?

Seems mmr pairs us with people on the complete opposite side of the spectrum. Sometimes opposites attract but this game just isn't it, and it never will be.

I guess the system is just not working at all. I can have a lot of high skilled killers and win and next game I get a killer that just installed the game and gets 1 kill because of noed or none. Then right after that game you get a bunch of fellow survivors that have just started and think that after getting injured running for the unhook without bt is the very best choise in that situation against a pretty good killer that is probably very surprise why they get paired with this kind of survivors.
Same as killer: right after getting good teams with only 4-8 hooks and 0 kills the game decides it's a good timing to give me a 2-4 man swf that totally destroys me with 2 hooks at best. But when I get a 2K against a good team the next team will be baby survivors trying to hide in a locker that they fast vaulted into. I surely have no clue how that happens and it doesn't make sense to me at all.
For those that like a surpise DBD matchmaking is perfect, you never know what to expect.
