I feel like you are exxagerating. Yeah sometimes survivors can break them fast but most of the time.. they stay active for so long. The only possible way for hex totems to get destroyed that quickly is SWF. Solo teams cant find and break totems that quickly. This is why hex totems are unfairly strong against solo teams.

I stopped running them because they kept getting less than a minute of value. Other times they literally never found it. I have no clue what the average would be, but it doesn't matter, playing entire games down a perk or two...Or sometimes 3, was just getting old.

They only hex it use is lullaby and it varies from a quick and boney death to lasting about 3-5 hooks in when the survivors get irritated by the shortened alarm.

It's highly Map and Hex dependent.

Get a map like Lerys and your hex might stay up the entire game. But on maps like Azarov's where totems can spawn on the very top of a hill right in the middle like it's the #########' map addon that calls down a beam of light, then they last 20 if not 30 seconds.

If the Hex is something like Ruin, or Retribution it'll last a few minutes for the most part since people don't actively look for it most of the time. If it's devour, normally about 30 seconds after they know what it is, it's found.

On average though, it'll be about 40 seconds into a match that at least one hex will be cleansed or blessed. (Sort of oiff-topic, but on the subject of blessing. Still absolutely despise that you don't get a notification when your hex is blessed.)

Totems spawns are still bad. Spawning out in the open or next to gens. I'm not exaggerating. If I use Ruin, Undying they will both be gone within 2 minutes more 75% of the time.

If they last more than 1 minute, even with Undying, you are doing well.

At least you can "re bless" them if..... oh wait that's another survivor sided mechanic. My bad.

Its getting rare to see ruin now. I stopped using ruin or any totems a while a go. I tried Blood favour for one game and it was gone after a single hit on a survivor.

I use lullaby and if I’m playing huntress they usually lasts to when I get about 3 stacks, I assume it’s because it’s starting to annoying survs. Sometimes you get outliers and when I get 5 stacks people actually stop gens entirely to look for it.

They last a bit longer if I play trapper and the bone is in a position where one trap can deny access. It’ll still get cleansed as I commit to a chase but a potential free injure is nice I guess. Waste them the 16s~ of CoH time smile.
