The PTB is coming tomorrow but are you really excited for it?
The PTB is tomorrow and I was wondering of what your gonna be excited about this new PTB with the Ringu Chapter.

Idk anything about Ringu but I always look forward to new content. Hope it goes well for the game.

Couldn’t care less about it. The last 2 licensed chapters have been meh(hellraiser) and completely awful(RE) so I’m not very optimistic about it

Absolutely I am. I want to see how BHVR are gonna adapt what I understand to be their most challenging license so far, in terms of what there is to translate into the game. Even if it doesn't end up being a killer I would find fun or appealing to play, I really want to know what her power and perks are gonna be.
Plus, y'know, PTB patch notes are always fun to read over.

New killer is always somewhat exciting but the game will still be in the same sad state with or without Ringu. She is not going to fix the mechanics of the game so no.....for the first time no I'm not excited at all.

Why would I be excited? Only thing I expect is some killer add ons and perk changes.
But as per usual, I am more worried than excited tbh

I watched the movie, it’s on YouTube. I’m really excited. She’s going to have a great lore, I’m excited to read it. Based on the movie I think her Mori will be just looking at the survivors, as that’s how she killed people in the movie. As for the name of Sadako? I’m thinking The Curse or The Grudge? Not sure. But I’m excited for her!
hoping the survivor is the main character (Reiko) she was a baddie, but her ex husband died in the movie so it may be him.
if you haven’t seen the movie I highly suggest it! It wasn’t the greatest but it was cool!

Yeah, fresh content is always welcome. New killer, new survivor and 6 new perks. Sounds good to me! Although I do hope there is a new map because they are always fun to traverse too. So yes I am excited although I'll probably just watch a stream here and there instead of downloading the PTB.

we know were getting a new killer but until I see the power I wont hold my breath.
I'm not sure if were getting a new survivor but if we do it could ether be Reiko Asakawa or her psychic ex-husband Ryūji Takayama
I will be surprised if we will be getting a new map but I doubt a reworked map as Haddonfield is the next reworked map and there not going to releases it alongside another licenced chapter.

I think I am excited because I don’t know what to expect her power to be. Hopefully we get more changes aside from the chapter though, those are usually interesting to read in the patch notes.

They kinda confirmed already that there will be a new survivor but no new map (at least based on the info/‚roadmap‘ given in the 5th year anniversary stream).

I don't care about New Characters in this game to be honest. I just want something new in gameplay, maybe new gamemodes and fix bugs in addons etc etc

Im not. Because she will probably be another anti loop killer with good gen regression perks that are too hard to counter in SoloQ.

Yea but they already are straying from that from that dime store map.....and I'm not excited....I predict she will be a carbon copy of Demo powerwise and or she will be anti loop which is how the game is going since the Devs don't want to fully acknowledge how broken thier loops are. "Hey Killers are complaining about how many Loops are in the Maps, let's make more Anti Loop Killers"

For me no, for 3 reasons
- They revealed it far too early
- It’s ringu and not the ring. No hate towards ringu; it’s just that I grew up with the ring, it was one of the first horror films I watched as a kid along with Scream
- There hasn’t been a good chapter since Blight. Like it’s been a huge snowball of bad chapters since Binding of Kin. Portrait of a murder was nothing to really write home about it was just meh maybe even below average

I'm cautiously excited. Samara wasn't really someone I thought of as a killer in the sense of chasing survivors, hitting them down and carrying them to a hook. I'm not even sure if it would be possible for her to do the carry and not be ridiculous! So I'm wondering whether she's going to be bringing in something completely new, which may also be a new direction for how a killer is played.
It's probably not going to be thus, but I'm cautiously hopeful.

To be honest no not at all. It's just going to be another cash grab licensed killer who gets played for a while ,then nerfed, then forgotten to keep survivor side as "accessible to casuals" .
Honestly as much as I don't want to just ######### on the devs without even seeing any footage the fact that over and over again they made the balance lopsided I have no hopes in this being good.

Umm this is the status quo though for BHVR "losing players, release a licensed chapter" "new map: mostly survivor sided due to size and asset placement" "New characters added: nerf killer, give a good perk or two and have at least one as a fix for already known issues, more bugs"

With new content always comes new bugs. I will remain optimistic, though. I'm interested in seeing all the PTB footage since I don't play on PC.

I'm not excited at all. I'm expecting the new killer to be mediocre from the jump or strong but then nerfed into the ground right after sales taper off, there probably will be a boon vigil where exhaustion recovers at like 5x the speed in the boon radius, and it'll be another chapter without any significant nerfs for CoH, Dead Hard, or Iron Will

I am super excited. If all goes well, this will be the first chapter I purchase. I usually just buy the killer for 500 auric cells. I am very scared at the same time, I want it to be crazy, but I just do not trust Behavior to make a good killer. Nemesis is the only one that was strong, in my opinion, for the last year.
I also feel survivor perks have been pretty meh recently, and some licensed survivors look a bit busted. Hope Reiko or Ryuji look dapper.
All in all, I actually have no clue how they will make Sadako work. Like, literally no idea whatsoever. That makes the experience more fun as it is difficult to speculate.

Not me, just gonna watch a stream and see if it looks fun but I will assume it will be fun for a few hours.
Good thing and I followed Cote's words and played something else, enjoying dying light 2 a lot and waiting for elden ring so I can go back to my game roots.

They rewrote Nurse's code almost from scratch to fix her litany of bugs (I don't play her myself but as far as I'm aware they succeeded, she just has a new one), they took steps to address Dead Hard validation giving false feedback, they tightened up security, they implemented some accessibility options in the form of wiggle skill checks and the action toggle feature...
You know. Game health stuff.
