I just wanna share this gem that happened just today

Hello everyone,

are pictures allowed again? I just wanna share this gem ^^

I had a trial on the groaning storehouse map as survivor and was facing off against a Billy in Milkman-Attire. The Billy player was really bad and only hit me once or twice during the whole trial, while getting constantly looped and juked, missing a lot of swings. I am somewhat decent at looping, but very inconsistant, but this time I kept it up all game.

Billy got a few hooks, but we saved all team mates, I even made a daring save in the end and evaded a chainsaw charge of him through the open exit gates. One more juke and I and everyone else made it out. No one BMed him, so I tried to console him a bit in the post-game chat. See for yourself.

There is toxicity on both sides, and while you might see my words as mocking, if you squint really hard, I guess that guy was just a salty and sour loser. I always appreciate some empathy and human touch from the survivors, if a group stomps me, but I guess we are all wired differently.

Cheers everyone, and happy gaming.

Weird, normally Billy players are the nice guys.

Yeah it happens from time to time. It's so you can't even say GG anymore without getting hate. I once told a Deathslinger, that they were amazing , because they really impressed me with their skill getting a 4k on Haddonfield.

They told me to off myself.

I'm learning it's best to just move on without saying anything.

Sad state of the game right now.

One time I was playing with silent bell wraith and the survs were incredibly good. I only got like 5 hooks and no kills T. T

But at least at the end they told me they had a lot of fun with me chasing them, and that all considered I played pretty well. One of them even told me I made him spill some of his drink. I lost but they still made my day.

Bottom line is that there is also nice people and playing with them can be fun regardless of the result. Wish I knew who they were.

I believe the issue is most messages/comments are sarcastic or only said when winning. it creates this toxic behavior as killers are so used to getting hate that when someone (very rarely) tries to be nice it's taken incorrectly. He was clearly new....or at least new to Billy and had a frustrating game.

Had a Billy complain to me last night because no one wanted to loop him and we were all holding W

Mans literally had double engravings and tried to go for curves every time and expected us to just let it happen, he also tried acting like it was our fault because he was playing M2 only

Because of this one of my teammates casually told him to M2 into a shower and cool off

    Billy didnt like that one

Best way to handle inexperienced players that you stomped is probably to simply say "gg" and see if they say anything at all

Most often than not, they'll see whatever else you say as "mocking" them and they'll get salty and defensive about it, if they are the one making the first move it's usually easier to let them understand you're not actually mocking them and trying to help in some way

But yeah, salty players will be salty no matter what you say to them

I don't think you engaged him in good faith if you immediately respond to his bitterness with more bitterness. If you truly felt bad for him that wouldn't be the direction to go in when he responds in a way that demonstrates you were correct and he indeed had it rough.

He seems to be new and probably had a really frustrating game. But that's not an excuse for him to say those things.

I mean yea but at the same time its weird seeing bm from a Billy even if they don't main him.

GG usually comes off as sarcastic from the winning side, especially when it was a stomp like this. Following it up with anything else just feels like rubbing salt in the wound. Add on to the fact that any one of those other team mates could have been toxic during the match, and you're just opening up a can of worms there.

"im just a poor surv player" i loop the hell out of him with my coordinated team but we didnt deserve the insults"

This happens often as well. I try to message Xbox killers all the time to say "hey those perks are not great together so try this" or "If you focused on this or that you would be able to do this or that". Half the time they always say the same thing "Whatever what do you know survivor trash/mean word" so I proceed to tell them I play both roles and have thousands of hours on killer side. Some will calm down and chat with me others tell me to ######### off....which is fine. Even if I can only help half it's still worth it.

Only time I ever message the killer (assuming we're on same system I 99% play xbox these days) is if they mori me.

I don't mind being killed first / last / tunneled, camped (annoying but it is what it is) end game all of that I just move on.

But if they mori me I wait until the game is over (not fair messaging them mid game) & thank them as genuinely as I can, if I'm gonna die I want to die in style!

Wish some of the mori's were updated though or customizable, really surprised behavior have added those to the store yet maybe when mori's get reworked some of the old ones really need an upgrade!

Oh yeah that’s mainly me. I message the killer saying, “ggs team was trash” something along those lines lmao.

Winning is nice but there's no need to rub it in someone's face. He only had 1 perk and no add-ons, I doubt he needs you to tell him anything. Take your win and move on, no need to patronize him especially if it was a bad game for him.

Meh, I disagree on the "Even if I can only help half it's still worth it"

I don't usually feel like being insulted when I'm trying to help. If they are in the mood to be helped I'm more than happy to give a couple of hints or reassure them that it's going to get better with practice, but otherwise I'm not taking that "risk"

Personally, I stopped going out of my way to help people after a guy I messaged to explain him a couple of game mechanics clinged to me for weeks and wouldn't take the hint to leave me alone until I blocked him

He is not Billy player. He has one perk and it is T1.

Billy players are really nice. They are playing for fun and trying to take weird hits.

So let me get this straight, you tell the new killer player that he probably felt bad about the match. Then when he confirms that he's upset about the match, you go out of your way to make him feel worse about it. Why are you posting this on the forums again?

"While you might see my words as mocking" and that's about all you need to read. What's the point of this thread? It's not even good quality salt.

Next time I 4k at 5 gens ill tell the survivors "huurrr! BEtter luck next game huh guys?!" and then wonder why they might be mad about it

He’s a one perk new Billy and you guys said GG after stomping him. I don’t agree with what he said but come on GG after a stomp is just bm honestly it’s really is.

He literally hit them with the #########, bruh. There is no engaging a person like that without them flipping out.

Well, actually, there is. Irl where they wouldn't dare. Lol.

In no way, shape, or form, am I condoning the way he responded. But the the OP himself said he may have come across as mocking. So when the Billy responds the way he does, and gets nastiness back after, you know what he thinks, right?

"He definitely was mocking me with that first message."

    Thanks everyone for responding.

The most important thing this discussion here showed is, that we all are, indeed, totally wired differently. So whatever you do, just do things your way and people will either vibe with you, or don't. In either case, don't sweat it, no approach will ever satisfy everyone. Happy tunneling, then :)

TBF killers are trained to expect survivors to be patronizing jerks, that's certainly how you came off. And you sure played into it after he lashed out proving you aren't above it. Pretty cringe honestly.

I mean what did you expect? That comes off as very mocking with how you put it. You basically told him you had fun but he must feel like ######### for losing but hey, they still did alright even though they got their ass kicked. Then you double down to ######### on him after seeing he's upset.

It might not have been your intent but it comes off as trolling and you being a sore winner.
