Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

non anti loop killers are a thing of the past

Unfortunately in this state of the game killers without a anti loop power aren't going to be able to be good. People have gotten better and learned all the tricks. The main issue is you cant control the chases. If your using pig or ghost face or the ring you have no control over chases. This is partially due to map design and all the loops you simply cant mind game. Sure with the ring you can teleport to TVs to cut people off but that's so situational its just not practical. Her weakness is covered up with pretty animations and the uniquess of her design but that's all she's got going for her. All the people that are saying she's fun to play against are saying that because she's easy to play against. No one liked the artist because they forced them to think at loops that are usually pretty easy to play around. The issue with the artist is people found her boring. And to be fair she was but they have made good killers that aren't boring and have anti loop (Blight, Spirit, nurse, PH) Yes i am aware that's who you play against 80% of the time in high MMR but your in high MMR so that's why your playing against them. If you make a killer that can end chases quickly you probably wont have as much camping and tunneling because you could apply pressure much easier. Tunneling is basically the only way to win at high MMR with a M1 killer even with the most powerful perks. That's the unfortunate truth of the game.

I ran a David across all of suffocation pit, eating every single pallet playing clown with brutal and enduring, while one gen after another popped. What he didn't count on was the NoEd at the end of the game, and with every pallet gone, it turned into a 4k real quick lul. He probably thought he was doing really good, what he didn't anticipate is that he played right into my hand.

Sadako is super weak in chase, but could be improved with a couple of light tweaks. I think BHVR was trying to split the difference between an anti-loop killer that forces most survs to just hold W and killer that that is a standard dull as dishwater, rinse and repeat M1 looper.

In her current form, that has failed, but the bones of a strong killer are there; the design is really quite good. She just needs some tweaks to be viable at almost all levels.

The problem seems to be that you have a faction who sees standard looping as the "correct" and "fun" playstyle, and hate anything that shakes that up. But they also decry tunneling and camping, which the current healing meta has made necessary.

On the other hand, killers who completely shut down loops and force most survs to adopt a hold W strat can be boring, but the standard model is played out for a lot of people (myself included). I hate tunneling and camping, so I don't like playing at high MMR (high mmr is tedious and repetitive af, imo).

I think the way BHVR tweaks (or doesn't) Sadako will speak to what we might expect going forward.

This was bound to happen when for years, the ways bhvr has addressed problems was to just release dlc perks to combat it. So here we are, an arms race of killers and survivors. where if a killer doesn't have some aspect antiloop, they just get run around like a dog. And if you don't bring some kind counter to that anti as a survivor, you kind of just die.

I can get behind this. At least for a while. Been obvious behavior is running out of power ideas with all the recycling they've been doing.

Stop releasing Killers? That is the game's primary source of new content.

The main problem of behavior is the reworked map got like 12 more palets and in the 90% of cases their is no room for mind tricks witch you are force to eat the pallets. Also the boons totems realy screw the low tire killers who hit and down later.

But it shouldn't be... There's ways to add more content that'd both keep the player base and add more people to it, without just jamming more and more characters into it and then slapping on band aid fix perks to hold it all together.

You could update the game to give it a fresh feel, with new mechanics that aren't the same other recycled mechanics over and over. Right now it has very basic, very dated gameplay. If you updated that to something fresh it would definitely bring back players, as well as bringing in new players. Players that didn't like it before because they didn't enjoy the gameplay, might be interested in giving it another try if it was updated to be more engaging and different.

The most recent mechanics added were boons, which was just recycled totem mechanics that just incentivized actually do totems. And breakable walls, which are just upright pallets that survivors didn't have to throw down.

But instead of updating the game, they'd rather add new killers whose powers have different mechanics that give survivors something else to do. It's just another band aid to an underlying problem.

Heck even league of legends with it's 150+ characters, is still added new stuff every year, new mechanics to learn, updating old ones to be fresh and entertaining.

Warframe, who has a smaller studio than that of behavior, and I way more graphically and mechanically intense game, with way more content, is constantly adding more and more new types of gameplay, new mechanics, reworking and updating old stuff, and Balancing way more stuff.

It can be done. Behavior just doesn't.

Thank you!! Every new killer since Blight has been zone, range, zone, range, altogether, Anti-loop. A breath of Fresh air from those killers!!! But For real, most maps are the problem for why we've had repetitive killers and maybe those should be fixed instead of releasing killers that can counter broken loops as a band-aid fix which in turn, makes 1v1s more oppressive. It's just problems adding onto problems and not solutions.

We do not NEED anti loop. But yeah, if you release a killer without it, they better do SOMETHING well. Obviously. Or maybe it is not as obvious as I believe it to be.

Well if that's the case survivor que times will still go up because killers have no power lmfao

Defiantly would be a huge fix. If killers could actually mind game the pallets instead of just having to break them or wait for BL3 to kick in.
