MMR ALSO CHOOSES MAPS AND MAKES IT HARDER FOR YOU TO WIN IF YOU HAVE HIGH WR AS KILLER
I will continue to say it and I will DIE on this hill.
I STERNLY BELIEVE:
Maps are ALSO factored in your games if you don't use offerings. That is the hidden x factor in their MMR, along with putting you with better groups of survivors. I don't care if it can't be verified without thousands of player-side games. I don't care if I sound like I'm complaining.
Certain Killers I use CONTINUE to get the SAME MAPS that can be CONSIDERED UNFAVORABLE for their power. With a degree of consistency I DO NOT believe is coincidence.

Where did you read that MMR is a factor in choosing maps? Sometimes it may seem that way however I have not seen consistency to support that theory.
I frequently play killer and on some of them I get 3 to 4 sacrifices per match and still get sent to maps that are opt for them. Others I don't play so well on and will get maps that are difficult for the killer I am playing.

Gotta say I find it difficult to argue against. Repeatedly getting brightly lite day maps and swf in a row seem to go together
10 -
and i'm assuming you also think it's only true for killers right? this wouldn't make any sense if it was also true for survivors, since it couldn't be true for both
not that it makes any sense to begin with

I'll be honest I've never experienced this and I consider myself great with certain killers.

I read somewhere in these forums that maps are selected from a small rotating pool, not from the entire collection. Hence is why you’ll see the same maps multiple times in a row.
Why would high MMR even put survivors at an innate advantage? That doesn’t make sense.

I just use filters when I play bad maps, Pig on mothers dwelling, no problem with reshade.

He's frustrated. I've experienced the oddity you described and when you're losing your mind due to the same nonsense over and over it's not hard to make his leap.
It's not irrational to be suspicious when you're given Badham 7x in a row (My personal record), but it's not a level-headed conclusion, either.

Honestly I don’t think bhvr are even bothered to make that considering how basic current MMR is

Behavior isn't good enough to program that and not cause half the game to malfunction.

As a stealth survivor let me tell you: there are only brightly lite maps with next to no cover left after the reworks. Auto haven is well lit, red forest maps are way lighter, the game changed the hidding spots to god paletts.
Stealth in this game is heavily nerfed, because for a big chunk of the player base, chases are the only fun thing and what the game resolves around. Different oppinions are not considered anymore.

I’m putting my tinfoil hat on- I think you may be on to something…

I mean. If that believe makes you feel better then do so.
but as you said, you can’t really prove it anyway.

This is a man full of poop right her.

I dont believe it, but it sure would make alot of sense if you watched my games lol
Swear I'm the only one that gets multiple pallets in the same loop haha

MMR literally does not exist / work as it should, please stop.

No doubt they have some issues with their map-rotation system, but to say it is a factor dictated by MMR is a bit of a stretch
It would mean that MMR purposefully favors survivors by giving the killer a harder map
Can you back up your claim by logging your matches? You might simply be exxaggerating a bit

While I totally do feel like certain maps are more likely than others on certain days/dates and it's not truly as random as it can be, I still believe that's just some kinda confirmation bias on my part. Any amount of matches I can possible play is a completely irrelevant sample size compared to all the matches played in a day, week, month or any other timespan. When I get one of those "6/8 matches were Azarovs" days, someone else gets a similar day where they get a bunch of Swamp.
This though? Not at all. Randomness can feel surprisingly lacking in randomness at times, as it is exactly that... random. There's a reason music playlist shuffle functions in the past actually had to go away from proper random selection, as people complained they'd get the same song "too often" even though the frequency was perfectly normal probabilistically speaking.
But you say you don't care so hey, believe it if you want I guess. It is afterall basically impossible to prove or even disprove afterall.

My experience shows a coordinated team doesn't need stealth. They can all be quickly downed and still accomplish objectives within the time of rotating hooks. Solos are the ones that tend to struggle against fast downs.
What I don't like about those maps are the frequent God pallets and the damn corn which looks like crap in fp on console; freaking blobbed pixels smacking me in the face obstructing visual powers.
As for stealth, i think it's still highly viable and damaging to the killer. I am a solo survivor that utilizes stealth over looping til I'm downed. Environmental awareness plays a bigger factor for me than structural cover.

Or the pallet somehow respawns after u break it, lol

I've often noticed that as long as I was winning in a map, I kept getting it.
Happens for all the maps that are a PITA.
I've often wondered if it was on purpose.

honestly, I agree. I think it chooses the map IN SOME WAY. my theory is every map has a certain mmr level. itll combine and match up 4 surviors mmr levels to get close to yours. and after that itll choose a map to finish it. for example:
Survivor 1 mmr: 300
survivor 2 mmr: 400
survivor 3 mmr: 200
survivor 4 mmr: 350
in total that is 1250
now lets say the killers mmr is 1350
itll now choose a map thatll get close to that like.. haddonfield = 100
now haddonfield plus the survivors you got equals to a total of 1350 mmr points and it is all evened out.. that is what I personally think

I can say for a fact that MMR doesn't have anything to do with what maps you play. This sounds like you have a predisposition with certain maps and certain killers. Then you just assume that if you get this map it's because you're playing this killer... no, you just got the map because that was the server you got

MMR has absolutely nothing to do with map rng. Completely separate systems.
5 -
is that possible that BHVR silently increase map chances for own purposes?

Only when there's some sort of promotion on - for example when Hawkins was being removed and these things we notify the players of

I need to preface what I say by stating that 'unfavorable', in my opinion, means the Killer's power has a LIMITED ABILITY to affect the game's outcome.
I'm going to rehash this because this scenario happens too often:
Lets say I alternate between 4 Killers: Trapper, Huntress, Artist, Shape.
Game 1: Trapper on The Game
Game 2: Huntress RPD
Game 3: Trapper on The Game
Game 4: Artist on Grim Pantry
Game 5: Artist on Grim Pantry
Game 6: Shape on Coldwind
Game 7: Huntress on RPD
Game 8: Trapper on Macmillan Estate
Game 9: Artist on Grim Pantry
Game 10: Artist on Artist Map
Game 11: Shape on Coldwind
Game 12: Trapper on Ormond
So across the maps, I receive a degree of variance, but on individual killers, FOR THE MOST PART, I get the same maps leaning unfavorably. Now the MMR system will put me in a position according to its own ends, but the maps increase the difficulty due to the variance of levels that DUE TO THE UNFAVORABILITY of the maps, makes it feel that certain maps are TARGETED to the Killers I play. In my opinion, this occurs TOO OFTEN to be random. I will be making a spreadsheet if I muster the initiative to do so.

Yes, they did it in the past, with badham preschool.
0 -
NGL, I have noticed that it SEEMS like I get Coldwind or Ormond a disproportionate amount of the time when using Myers/Ghostface/Etc. Might just be annoyance bias or something, though.
0 -
If you play ghostface or myers you automatically get a 15% increased chance to get a coldwind map, ormond or forsaken boneyard.

When hawkins was being removed you took everyones offerings away early without previous notice
