Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

If this doesn't change your mind about fnaf being in dbd then I don't know what will

FNaF would be the nail in the coffin for DbD. It would shift the age demographic by double digits to kids who can only buy what mom and dad let them buy as opposed to people who have purchase power.

I doubt the FNaF powers that be will allow it anyway. They ja e said as recent as last year there are no plans for online multi-player. Furthermore, they are already contracting aspects of the game with several studios who do work on multi-player games, thus they jave existing partnerships should they change their mind.

    Yeah the formatting was bad

And when it came to the harassment thing I said that because lots of people are toxic to fnaf fans in the dbd community I love both games and that's what this post was all about making fun of the extremes of both ends

(I guess I should've worded my earlier response better)

I don't want FNaF in DbD RN for the sole reason that I know BHVR wont do it justice.

It is for kids and it's a poorly made flash-tier game that makes games on newgrounds look well done. Simon says that plays jumpscare.mp4 while you stare at a still background.

Could you imagine a movie with fnaf + (insert iconic horror character here) ?

Maybe if Scott wouldn’t get any money whatsoever from it, sure.

Yes. Especially if it was a child's play crossover. Voodoo vs remnant tech. Crazed serial killer trapped in a doll vs crazed serial killer trapped in an animatronic. Andy vs Gregory.

Lol even Chucky doesn’t fit with FNAF imho

    but each to their own

Horror icon with almost 40 years of consistent lore? Yeah, he's probably too good to include with the killers from franchises that can't decide if their characters died or not between movies, not to mention bubba/jeb/Dave/whatever the hell his name and backstory is this movie.

But unless they're just going to make a child's play game (which would rock) I guess we're stuck with this.

    And I'm fine with it.

Make as many threads as you want asking for the things you want, everyone else does.

I think that William Aften would make a better survivor than a killer. I could definitely see him being a stand alone release.

The idea of bringing fnaf to dbd its like adding Goku as a survivor and Majin bu as a killer. It has no place.. I get that fnaf has some fans but for me its just a really stupid game.

Im one of those person that don't get scared easily or at all, in fact almost no movies has given me a "fear" feeling with the execption of "IT" that movie is a masterpiece. Compare fnaf to IT and you will see that fnaf is a baby in diapers in comparison.

It doesn’t matter what IP it belongs to Scott created FNAF it doesn’t matter if steel wool owns the rights Money will still go to Scott.

"He wouldn't make a unique killer."

Glances at Sadako and what they came up with.

At this point, it is pretty obvious basically no killer is living to their full potential. Springtrap as a basic m1 would be better than whatever their favorite as a basic m1 would be. Unless it happened to be Charles Lee Ray or Jason Vorhees, I suppose. And realistically, they know that. Just getting the IP is enough to excite fans. It doesn't really matter what they do with it.

To be fair though, the ball is in their court. It is not really up to Behavior. If it was, we would definitely get him as for every person who hates FNAF and refuses to purchase it on principle, we have a few people willing to buy it and DBD for the first time.

BHVR probably wouldn't do an FNAF chapter anyways. It would be hypocritical of them to do that, especially after their talks about supporting inclusivity for LGBT+. And Scott wasn't interested in further projects either prior to his retiring. So it's not that likely he would accept it either.

All I am gonna say is that Fnaf was on the Satisfaction survey which means it's on a list of potential chapters.

Like it or not, it's BHVR's game so they will add whatever they want unless they say no "Aka Jeepers Creepers for good reasons".

If they can get it they sooner or later will - they need more players and it will surely bring some.

Even though I am a fnaf fan I will admit I agree with you for why you want a fnaf chapter because I want people want to stop arguing about it

    I'm a guy btw

I'm not a FNAF fan by any stretch. I tried to play the first game and literally fell asleep. Tried the newest one, which was definitely more fun as you actually get to move around and hide and kill animatronics, but it's a buggy mess that makes DbD look practically pristine by comparison.

I do want a FNAF chapter in DbD however, for a few reasons.

    1. The property fits. People can claim all they want that it's not "scary" or it's "for kids". However we have stranger things already (or did). Of the 5 nephews and nieces I have under 12 years old, none of them care for FNAF. 3 had "Upside Down" parties for their birthdays. (Funny story there, my youngest sister used real paint on her walls for the lights, so it's still there 2 years later) so that seems much more the "for kids" property of the two. The story is basically the angry spirits of killed kids haunting the suits their dead bodies were shoved in killing everyone. Add in the entity and that's basically Rin's origin. The primary antagonist is an undead serial killer who's body is held together by a disgusting and torn up/burned animatronic bunny suit. That's creepy.

    2. I want a pizza place map. Ever since I was about 16, playing laser tag in an abandoned chuck e cheese and volunteering at RPHH, I knew the two would fit (actually tried to get rocky point to consider making the abandoned CC a new haunted house)

    3. New killer = new perks! More variety! Even if I end up not liking playing as the new killer or survivor, the new perks may be fun. I know that's an optimistic view a lot of people don't have, but at the end of the day I'm for anything that expands the variety and could break up the pattern of my survivor matches always being against the same 3 killers.

Now, as far as the arguments against.

    1. "It will lead to furries infesting us!" - Will it though? For one, furries are already literally everywhere, because wanting to dress up like a dog or whatever doesn't mean they don't have any other interests, and for two, who cares about furries? I've seen this argument A ton of times, but like, what's the worst they are going to do? Bad fanart? Google rule 34 Leatherface sometime, we've already hit the bottom of that particular barrel. I've seen some spirit and huntress stuff that just describing here would probably get me perm banned from the forum. So this seems like worrying that you left the sink on when your town is being flooded by a hurricane.

    2. "FNAF is just jump scares" - yup, and all the first TCM was is jump scares and bad metaphors to the cattle industry. #########, Michaels perfected the jump scare. This argument is usually brought up to suggest that the gameplay wouldn't fit, but that doesn't matter because nobody is trying to bring in gameplay. They just want the characters. Bringing in PHead didn't add any silent hill mechanics to the game. Why would bringing in Springtrap add FNAF mechanics to the game? Answer, it wouldn't.

    3. "The creator hates the LGBTQIA+ community". - this one is harder to argue against. I am firmly of the type who believes that while free speech is important and should exist fully, there are consequences for your actions, and sometimes the consequence is that everyone thinks you suck and don't want to give you money anymore. I do wonder if he owns Vanny, the killer in the new game, as I understand it, he didn't make the new one, so his rights may not extend to the new characters introduced with it. Other than that? You gotta follow your own conscience. If they did a chapter and nobody bought it, it would be a hell of a way to tell Scott to go f his bigot ass.

  • Gamerzilla2018
    Gamerzilla2018 Member Posts: 99

If they did a fnaf chapter Vanny would be a legendary skin for Ghostface , Legion or Myers

also Scott is not a bigot I generally don't understand why people still use this as a argument I think its mostly just people who are misinformed or let Emotion get in the way of reason plus this has been debunked and Scott clarified is reasons for voting for those Canadettes Scott has only donated 40,000 dollars to the Anti Lqbtq+ politicians but 1000,260 dollars to pro Lqbtq+ groups Fnaf fan game devs and a Panda sanctuary

Damn also I'm glad you were Unbiased unlike way too many folks in this page
