Blight addons you think need changed, how, and why
Title, I just find the hate being directed towards his addons quite unreasonable, barring alc ring, and so I thought itd be nice to see the other side of the argument.

Maybe don't let the two speed add-ons stack.

I want to agree on the speed addon thing but at the same time they are just way too fun to use from time to time, and I would probably agree on C33, as it makes you a worse player by using it.

Both speed add-ons make it pretty impossible to react to flicks so I don't think they should stack.
C33 is fun but it's kinda nutty.

I don't think he actually need nerfs when you compare those to survivor items/addons like toolbox, medkit and... well not flashlight or key, maybe maps I don't know.

For the sake of balance i can agree with the speed add on thing, i would like for c33 to do something else, perhaps something that completely changes the character similar to adrenaline vial

Toolboxes are balanced with the exception of bnp, and COH shafted medkits, I also have no idea what survivor items have to do with blight add ons

You don't compare killer addons to another killer addons, what they do fight is always survivors, thus you will compare it to survivor items and addons.
Addons should be equally strong as same rarity of survivor item/addons, and if you think this way, his addons are generally fine.

But there is really nothing we can use as evaluator beside those things, BHVR would have some kind of "statistics" though.

This game is all about time efficiency, mostly generators/heals, as long as survivors can speed up those things tremendously by using things, I don't think killers finishing chase quickly with addons are a problem.

This game IS a game of survivors vs a killer, you should always compare killers to survivors if you talk about balance.

You don't understand.
Survivors and Killers effectively play a different game. You can't compare their add-ons as if they play the same game.
That's like comparing Survivors perks with CoD perks. It doesn't work.

Having different gameplay doesn't make them playing different game, they are still using same timeframe and trying to fight through it.

More like tombstone piece being outlier in that case, but you can compare brutal strength and we'll make it by how many seconds those perks free up.

Ring should recover 2 charges at max
Crow and rat gives you same amount of colldown penalty with each rush so you can't use them as often
Compound 21 rework. No aura reading please
Remove slowdown from iri add-on. Pallet breaking is enough

Alchemist ring and Adrenaline vial should be changed.
Base Blight is fine but those add ons are too much and he doesnt need them.
Speed add ons are imo fine but I wouldnt mind if both of them would not be able to stack

Why: blight has a strong basekit already and it's clear blight mains don't shower and have never been invited to a party considering how they play

Alchemist ring needs a downside, maybe make him a 4.4ms killer when using it, like billy addon

Given how badly that add-on has gone over and the decreasing/removing of most movement speed penalties on add-ons in recent patches such as on both tombstone and tuning guide...
I doubt they are going to be using movement speed penalties anymore let alone base movement speed ones.

Yeah I think having speed addons stack is a bit too much. Still a bit unsure though.
As for C33 I think it is fine. It IS an ultra rare, and the real problems are with the AC and speed addons.

Alchemist Ring is the obvious Add-On which needs to be changed. I dont really know how the Devs can keep it like that for so long. Every Blight-Player should know how busted it is (and a proof of that was, when they announced Changes to his Add Ons and so many Blights were using Alchemist Ring).
After playing against it several times, Adrenaline Vial also can get a Nerf. The Add On does too much and the downside is not really impactful anymore. The difference to Alchemist Ring is not really there anymore, it is almost the same IMO.
Compound 33 can also get a slight Nerf as well, shredding through Pallets like this should not be possible. The Nerf should be not as big tho, because it is an Iridescent Add On, after all.
Also, I would remove the Speed Add Ons completely. In general, Blight should not be able to gain more Speed by any ways, so I would change the Speed Add Ons completely. But at the very least, they should not stack with each other or Adrenaline Vial.
You can basically do all of this and Blight will remain almost as strong as he is now, he will still be S-Tier. But I already know that some people would say that he would be gutted, that DBD is dying, blablablabla.
And I think the reality is that next Midchapter, there will be the next Blight-Buff...

I feel like the iri should be reworked entirely. Whereas the insta down promotes skillful gameplay the other promotes the opposite.

You aren’t supposed to react to it. You’re supposed to mindgame it so he can’t flick you to begin with.
