Any news on Hawkins?
Hello everyone.
So, are there any news on a reskin of the Hawkins map, or was the layout also part of the deal?
I must have been one of the three people who liked Hawkins and I am genuinely sad that it's gone.
It could be remained as a MacMillan mining facility, the Doctors secret lair, the Artist's surreal damp, dark dreamscape, or another Silent Hill/The Game map.

The devs said they didn’t have any intention to reskin the map…

I liked Hawkins, it had relatively fair pallets and a cool aesthetic. Hopefully they make a new map someday with a similar plan.

Reading about Hawkins makes me sad.
And everytime someone hates on RPD i am reminded of Hawkins.

I don´t care what the others say. We don´t have enough maps, Hawkins was different in a good way.

I wouldnt expect it back in any form. I liked it too but its just one of those things thats probably a legal nightmare since they no longer have the license. I do wish we would get more indoor maps as a nemesis player indoor maps tend to be crazy good for zombie alertness so who knows. Sadako still has no map so I hope that means they are working on one and that it will be an indoor one.

I really miss Hawkins, best indoor map other than midwich, it's hated for no good reason

Indoor maps are so bad, all of them and even Hawkins. I hated it but also i loved. Because it was looking very well.

hawkins and rpd aren't remotely comparable beyond being indoor maps. one was actually kinda nice and fun to play on depending on your killer, and one is rpd.

Wrong.
That is your opinion which is fine - but that doesn´t make it right for everyone.
I have another one. And a lot of players don´t have a problem wwith RPD and like it anyways.
Like in another thread - maybe from a pro player standpoint, but that reflects not always a normal players opinion.

My only concern in loading screen was not to see Hawkins.

Well Hawkins was a decent map just too big with too many Loops, but it was workable with most Killers. But once Boons came out, it became one of the worst maps ever.

Still a little spark of hope that ST returns somehow.
Netflix games didn´t went so well... i hope they come to their senses again.

Wish I'd had the chance to play hawkins. Only started dbd last august. Paid through to nose to secure a physical nightmare edition to access the ST chapter, it's the reason I started playing dbd.

I would love a reskinned version of Hawkins. I think an All-Kill themed studio version of the map would be neat. I'd imagine the Rift Lab room would be the recording studio in the reskin.

You know that this has never been confirmed to be the reason and likely wasn't, right? The real reason most likely was that Netflix was asking for too much money to renew the contract, simple as.
