Thinking of disabling cross play
It seems like the only way at this point to avoid cheaters since most of them are on epic game store, and if you go againts steam cheaters, you can at least report them.
In hindsight,if you play on console and disable crossplay, you are 100% cheaters free.

I noticed that usualy the cheaters I saw for the past month or so were from cross-play (aka Epic most likely).

Long lobby times though...
Otherwise I never would have it on, gonna be selfish here but the game would be better for me if I could choose which platforms to crossplay with... like sorry PC but you're gone, people ruin it for you

Cheaters have somehow find a way to get in console only lobbies.

you cant

I agree,I would just disable epic game store since that's where most hackers are and you cant even report them.

Would be a nice option for sure.
Since I'm console I'd just avoid all PC platforms, I'm tired of my games having hackers ruin it tbh and I'm not just on about DBD either.
Hackers even ruin non PVP games, it's a shame people ruin games for others tbh and I don't even understand the point in cheating... in anything in life

you can report crossplay players.

not true as cheaters can circumvent this and play against crossplay lobby’s even if they have it disabled…

I wish you can choose the crossplay option

Gigabrain decision to make a free week of DbD at Sweeney's kiosk.

What?

Opting out of Crossplay will not prevent hackers from entering all console or mixed lobbies unfortunately.

The free week of DbD in Epic.
Your account can be made very recently and still be viable for a free game to ruin.

The thing is you cant make the difference betwen epic store and console since both have same icon in a lobby.

On steam, you can report their steam profile, when you make a ticket,it asks you for their profile, you cant give it to them if they're not on steam on other platform.

Yeah, you are supposed to fill in the gamertag and mention in the issue description that it was a crossplay player.
it’s sadly not at all described in the actual process though. But that’s the official statement i have seen here on the forums.

Have turned off crossplay since about maybe 5 months. Never had a cheater and the lobby wait times are ok on ps4 at least. Even if they can find their way into console lobbies it's rare and obviously not as bad as if I had crossplay on. Just turn it off and see how it works out for you.
