The only reason why I feel like everyone still plays dbd even though they hate it
The amount of money the put into it no it's not the achievements and its not the time it's the amount of money they spent on and in the game. I still play it because of this reasons the game basically has broken matchmaking, a report system that hardly works so why even have it and a problem with perks I don't remember who said it but I feel like BHVR needs to just stop with the chapters and have a health update. I'm fine waiting four months for a new chapter but there are things needing to be fixed that can be done with a good health update I get there are bugs that can be fixed easily but I just saying fix the major problems in this game I still play it because of the money I spent and just trying to enjoy a game I liked and semi still do. But just do a good health update I feel like most of us are still waiting for the anti face camp update.

Long sentence.

Orrr we still play it because we still enjoy the game despite it's flaws.
Tbh the only thing I can remember buying is like a killer DLC or two and the Cat Feng outfit and that's about it? So it's definitely not about the money for me because I don't really spend that much on the game. Only thing I really plan on buying in the future is any more Trickster outfits that get released.

They did a health chapter (last mid chapter) and everyone lost their minds about "THERES NOT ENOUGH NEW CONTENT!!!"

I think a health update would be really, well, healthy for the game.
The art devision can still pump out a few fun outfits and cosmetics each month, but it be oh so cool if BHVR could take a long, hard and honest look at the game and the problems and complaints plaguing it and figuring out since solutions without ego and sunk cost fallacies getting in the way.
This game could be so much more, but its held back and not allowed to unfold its potential.

I think if you truly hate a game it is extremely difficult no matter how much time/money you have sunk into it. I have thousands of hours in DBD and I would say hundreds of dollars spent (I actually don't regret that as I had fun at the time) but I can't bring myself to play this game at present. A BP event isn't even enough to entice me at this time, though I may well play it again another time.
The toxicity of the community and the issues with the game get too much for me personally

Nah. I do not care about the money I spent here. I play Fate Grand Order, cuh. If you want regret, imagine the hundreds I have spent on that and you can sure as hell bet I will never leave it.
DBD? I spent, in total, what one Saint quartz pack costs in that game, lol.

Mostly agree.
Just a note: native English speakers are used to short sentences. Yours are long even by French standards.
Your text may be easier to read if you cut the sentences a bit and space them.

People that still play don't hate the game, but some can become frustrated at the slow pace of changes. There have been improvements in some of the most frustrating elements but others such as the stale meta, weak killers and relative SWF strength are things that really could have been addressed a long time ago by a company the size of BHVR that only have one game.

Iirc that wasn't about not enough content but the amount of changes done.
Aka when a normal chapter has "new content + a few changes" then a health chapter should be "no new content but lots of (fundamental) changes".
And the "health chapter" didn't amount to as much given that it was a mid chapter patch and not a main chapter one.
(Also the patch frequency of major patches only every 3 months and only small changes six weeks in between, i think frustration is viable when those few instances of changes are lacking)

If my closest friends didn't play this game, I would have stopped playing in late 2018. I think everybody have different reasons for still playing the game even though they might not like it anymore.

Yeah because now everyone knows that it's going to be another 6 weeks before we get ANY meaningful content.
This whole 3 months update schedule doesn't work anymore. It's outdated.

We play so we can use the newest Feng cosmetics of course.

personally i still play because i don't play that much to begin with and i don't take it that seriously, my only issue that really gets to me currently is the grind.

Yeah... I'm the opposite, I may have bought like 90% of Kates purple outfits, lol

I don't remember who said it but I feel like BHVR needs to just stop with the chapters and have a health update.

I'm playing it because Michael Myers chasing James Sunderland around the RPD is really cool.

Because if you want an asymmetrical horror experience, there is nothing else to play.

I don’t hate the game but I don’t take it seriously and only play a lil bit here n there while I wait for ash vs evil dead and Texas chainsaw massacre.

I don't hate DBD (yet), but I definitely wish I felt less compelled to play it.
My main reason (I think), and the reason I generally avoid online games is that I hate leaving things "undone" (I am a notorious completionist), and with games like these, you can never really master/complete them, so it just goes on and on. It's like a neurosis.
I can't say for sure, but I think for a lot of people it's at least partially the idea or feeling of sunk cost; like a need to justify all the time you have spent on a thing by continuing the spend more. Especially if you have dropped a bunch of money as well.
You see this a lot in relationships that should have probably ended, but that's not a discussion for the DBD forum, I think
