Bubba Tips and Builds

I was doing fairly well as Bubba to begin with, but last 5/10 games I have been struggling massively. Gens are flying and I am not winning chases quickly and resulting to M1 most of the time. Does anyone have any tips or really handy builds?

I am not getting Corrupt in my bloodwebs which I think would help a LOT.

Do you have bamboozle? I would argue that's his best perk on most maps. Without it you are gonna be forced to M1 alot and can get looped pretty hard at jungle gyms and the shack, let alone god windows.

My go-to for a random map is Corrupt, Pop, Bamboozle, Tinkerer. That gives you a bit of everything.

Bubba can get away with alot of off-meta stuff though since his basekit is so strong.

From a survivor perspective (i started playing him but i'm nowhere near good enough to give advice), i hate it when Bubba runs stealth perks, like Tinkerer or that Pyramid Head perk or other stuff. It's often too late when you hear the chainsaw revving....

I think it's one of his best perks. I don't think there's really any other killer who can just casually walk up to a gen and get a totally free down like Tinkerer Bubba can.

They can counter it by the time they know you have it, but by then it could be too late. Especially if I offer an indoor map with it, I will get like 5/12 of my hooks just off tinkerer.

    Corrupt, NOED, Bamboozle and X

Use chilli and X (forget the name of the other)

    Facecamp first player down.

This has been the playstyle of every bubba I have ran into since replaying the game. The usually get 2 or more kills for very little effort

I don't find the games have changed that much. A sweat game is a sweat game, MMR or not.

And stomping solo Q pre MMR isn't a feat, that was just standard and every seasoned killer had like a 95% winrate. The fact you even CAN get a 150 winstreak tells you the game was busted lmao. Try that in a game like League starting from your real MMR and it will never happen.

But I digress, "I got a winstreak on Bubba" isn't much of an argument. Free downs are free downs.

His best build is 100% facecamping with Rancor / No way out / Nemesis if you want to be really sweaty about it. You just automatically win if you get a down in the first 60 seconds of the game, fun.

One really good perk you can have on Bubba is Bamboozle. It usually forces the survivor to give you a pallet or to leave the loop. Maybe I'm just bad, that's also possible lmao

Wow! Thanks for showing how to use Bubba's chainsaw at a high level.

I use a similar build, but use BBQ instead of Tinkerer for the BP. I’ve also been using Pain Resonance in place of Pop, which seems to give me more slowdown value as long as I can get hooks consistently. Another piece of advice is don’t feel bad about camping - it’s what Bubba was born to do. You can snowball your pressure a lot if you can down down a potential unhooker

The build I have been running lately is BBQ, corrupt, plaything, and bamboozle. It’s probably not the absolute best build you could use but I like it. Bamboozle is good for shutting down strong windows, corrupt gives you early game slowdown, and plaything lets you sneak up on survivors (which often leads to free chainsaws)/acts as a passive slowdown if they go looking for totems. BBQ I just like using for bloodpoints, but if you wanted to make this build stronger then you can replace it with another slowdown perk.

What I’ve been seeing multiple facecamping bubbas use lately is that + deadlock as the 4th perk. Some are also using NWO instead of bamboozle. So they facecamp the first survivor until dead, if the survivors are smart the gens are nearly done by the time they die (but deadlock is usually enough delay that they’re not fully done), they get an extra kill or two with NOED and the gates are blocked for either 24 or 36 seconds and it usually leads to a 3k with very little effort. I don’t want people to do this, but it’s unfortunately very effective.
