Like as killer I have had way too many toxic survivors and I have seen a lot of complaints on killers also. Like 1-2 years ago it wasnt this bad I feel like I never really ran into toxic players just ones that played normally idk let me know what yall think

To be honest I've received way more hate when I was newer at the game than I do now. Sometimes I still get some toxicity but I had constant serious homophobia/sexism/threats back then.

When the active player count decreases, the experience becomes more polarized. You'll experience the extremes more often. The casual and try hard communities will collide and it's never pretty. During peak times it may feel roughly the same, but during the low periods it may become unbearably toxic.

The game has lost many loyal players since the functionality of SBMM has been revealed and confirmed. I've personally had a much worse experience overall (both roles/game modes). So, expect more toxicity, not less.

I got more hate when I was new, trying to learn and have fun with folks, and didn't realize survivors are always going to cry.

Now I try to play in a style that makes it clear I'm not trying to please survivors.

A lot of it comes from the increased frustration players are facing from poor design decisions from the devs.

I don't think it's the community itself, I believe it's the means in which they are encouraged to interact - directly and indirectly.
