What's the point of having a stealth ability when you have lullaby?
I am talking about Sadako. It's it backfiring? Her stealth is allready weaker than Wraith for example because they can still see you on and off aproaching. Now they will even know you are somewhere close to you can't really suprise anyone.

Funny thing is that I still saw comments of someone thinking she is OP and "everyone who says she is weak are sheeps that follow content creators opinions without their own opinion". Oh well...

Because low tier survivors would complain. Eyes are to difficult to use and coms are only for making weird noises so they need to hand hold and give survivors every little bit of information as to not interrupt their twitch chat while they afk gens like a bot.

"Eyes are too difficult to use"- This never really makes much sense. Sure, you can use your eyes to easily see the killer when in the open, but what about when you're not? A lot of times gens are located in places that make it very difficult to know when a stealth killer is approaching. I couldn't care less if they make Sadako completely silent, just sharing my thoughts.

That's the point of stealth though. Get people when they are in enclosed spaces and part of the reason stretched was so detrimental to stealth killers. People would still complain even if they were on a farm map or auto haven with a fully silent killer.
She should be silent and her tv teleport should not be directional. I wouldn't mind if she made a noise up close like Ghost face's flapping cloak, but a lullaby just makes the entire thing pointless.
I am sure you have snuck up on your fair share of survivors with ghost while they were out in the open or near a rock.

I do think a "you can kind of see and hear everything I do" stealth killer does have an expiration date, but eventually they're gonna have to give her a little something extra I feel. In the meantime, she'll be fun when people don't know how to play against her, but I hope BHVR realize it's a honeymoon phase and don't use it to justify not touched ng her for a year

Now sadako is weakest killer.

She is somewhere behind Wraith and Freddy. Not the worst mind you, but below avarage for sure.

???
Are we all just ignoring the Condemned mechanic as well as her insane map mobility via TV teleporting?
As much as I love stealth as killer I'm not expecting her to just be completely silent and invisible that's unrealistic. There has to be audio cues of some kind, especially when she has other elements present in her kit. The lullaby may be counterintuitive to a stealth oriented playstyle but she seems like a Jack of all trades similar to Pig (Except with amazing map pressure and mobility).
1 -
Wait, are we expecting a new lullaby added to her?
i thought it was already in the PTB, and it’s those eerie noises that are not even comparable to the lullabies of Huntress or Freddy?
1 -
What good is a TP if you can't approach a gen properly because it's facing the inside of a loop? And you get that priveldge every 100 seconds, also the only way you can possibly influence condemned which isn't the active part of her kit anyway.
Passive slowdown is great, but it's not really passive if it's dependent on survivors being on the right side of a gen near an active TV to even get stacks in the first place.
Every killer needs something actually powerful. Wraith is strong because even if you can hear him and kind of see him, he can mindgame and bodyblock, which can be strong with true invisibility, and he has add ONS that make his bell Silent, this killer doesn't have anything like that, even so.much as something that silences her TV's. She also doesn't have an active lunge power or even a crouch like pig, so it's pig but with less mindgame potential and no special attack, if we're comparing the two.
Played her on PTB, she was fun but I lost almost every game and got Mori literally only 2 times on purpose, which cost the game anyway.. also no one actually "cleanses"

it is the same as in the ptb

"insane map mobility" with 100 seconds cooldown and condemned mechanic still can be easily removed since it's still 3 less condemned progress.
0 -
Thats the thing, Stealth killers need to get close and caught u off guard.
2 -
You're correct, her "lullaby" isn't really a lullaby in the sense we're used to. It was also on the PTB, and everyone was praising her Stealth then, so I don't think anything would change??? Like she's still easily the best stealth killer in DBD, the out of PTB changes just make her better
3 -
I know. I was just telling the guy that it isn't always possible to see the killer coming even if you're using your eyes, lol. I don't mind stealth killers... I even main Pig.
1 -
that was my biggest complaint in PTB. it was difficult to stealth hit survivors in PTB. I thought it was because survivor could see my from long distances but after they wrote PTB notes, it was sight+lullaby. I have feeling that you need to use monitor&abuse and disregards her undetectable.
they really should remove lullaby. Lullaby do not work on stealth killers. custom TR should be saved for the actual TR.
The other complaint was that you needed add-ons to have any relevant condemn stacking and that directional TV sounds made them awful for landing stealth hits.
At least manifest & de-manifiesting is more useful at loops.
She might be solid killer if they remove lullaby and lower TV volumes drastically. those completely kill parts of her stealth.

WAHH!
4 -
Isn't her lullaby non-directional and compliments her Undetectable upon Manifesting (at various loops AND structures) being praised as a fun/useful/unique way to use a stealth mechanic on the PTB from both gameplay sides?
I saw that they buffed the Manifestation time, so was something else nerfed that I'm missing that makes these 'easier' hits harder to land?

Yes, being able to teleport across the entire map is pretty crazy mobility even if it is tied to a long cooldown.
1 -
Anybody who says this Killer is OP....is a real deal "idiot".
Also anything that is MAP DEPENDENT doesn't mean #########. Try Condemning people constantly on Ormond. Overall, Sadoko's Power is pure garbage.
3 -
Well now that I've played as and against her for a bit on live I can confidently say that the lullaby does nothing to inhibit her stealth capabilities. She's still the best stealth killer in all of DBD and the only major problem she has is that Boon: Circle of Healing as a perk exists.
2 -
Let's also give wraith, T1 Myers, and a shrouded Ghostface a lullaby, at least we'd have some consistency when it comes to stealth killers. Still don't know what the bloody point is. It virtually negates the "stealth" factor, the moment you hear it you know the killer is in the area.
0 -
It gives you a ~5s heads up she's anywhere near you. Doesn't say which direction. You also can't really see her very well, absolutely not if there's any sort of LOS blockers.
Myers in T1 has no lullaby as his stealth is countered by slow speed. Same with Pig.
Wraith must ring a loud, directional bell to exit his stealth.
Ghostface in Shroud has a sound signalling him being nearby. He also has a buggy reveal mechanic and no teleport to his name.
Sadako has a teleport, as well as a very short into and out of stealth action which does not slow her down like at all.
Like gee I wonder why these characters are treated differently from each other.

Her stealth isn't weaker than Wraith's. In some ways, it's actually better, because unlike Wraith she can Manifest and still be moving at just about 100% survivor speed. Wraith in contrast can get close while Cloaked, but then he has to Decloak at which point he's moving extremely slowly and, if he's not blocking the survivor from getting away, can easily not be able to catch them. Plus his stealth is completely inactive during the chase itself, while Sadako is still on-and-off invisible for a bit after Manifesting which helps her in mind games.
Honestly at this point after playing her tonight and seeing her in a bunch of streamed games I'm pretty convinced she's better than Wraith overall. She's not a "great" killer, but she's definitely not trash.
1 -
Not to mention slow reaction time and lack of looping capabilities, doing gens right next to a chase as if the killer wasn't there and there isn't a hook nearby.

That's kinda the point of a "horror" game when a psychopath or monster is around but you aren't sure where they are. Makes it scarier but not in DBD.
