The playerbase haemorrhaging is not a good thing in any way shape or form.
This is a pic of the steam charts and I find it really worrying that we have BARELY broken the peak of last month. It is incredibly distressing to see that a new chapters launch has been less than 100 players above the peak of last month. Im hoping tommorrow and the weekend might see the peak raise but if not this is really quite a bad sign.
I hate this whole mentality of "oh this'll teach BHVR a lesson" because the game has beeen tanking in player count. I agree BHVR has had questionable descisions and the game has been stale and unfun but if this trend is continuing its pretty concerning. BHVR needs to step up their effort a bit but I don't like that the game's community and playerbase disappearing even if it makes BHVR put in more effort.
I'm just hoping some big reveal at Anniversary will end this trend or give a sizeable lasting boost to players even if it means FNAF in DBD.

🥱 can we get more topics about NOED, dead hard, and DS? These sky is falling topics are getting old

Did you on purpose cut of the data on the high point of dbd, or is that an accident.

Sky isn't falling theres still over 34k on steam alone not even accounting how many on Epic Xbox or PS4. DBD is still an extremely popular game but either way this is not a good look.

You mean anniversary? Its right there. At the bottom.

Do you all grab the same picture for those kind of Threads?
There was a statistiscal outlier - the RE-Chapter. This statistical outlier is about to be corrected, the player numbers are dropping to a normal state.
If you only focus on the dropping part, it looks like DBD is losing players. If you focus on more, the player numbers are not bad. Let alone that currently around 44k players are playing (which is the 24 hour-Peak as well).

i would argue is less popular on last gen consoles because of the performance.

This is all of dbd. And when you look at it, the playerbase today is the exact same in terms of numbers as it was one year ago.
Thats why i asked why you cut of your screenshot at such an unusual high place.

The game isn't losing player but has also only gained 90 average players in a year. In a year most online game can be assumed to grow a lot more than that.

Mostly becauseI did not want to have an abusurdly long graph but a playerbase being the same after a year is still not a good sign. March 17 -18 around 4k player increase 18 - 19 3kish more players 19 - 20 is 14k but that is largerly due to corona lockdowns 20 - 21 another 4k 21 - 22 less than 100 so far. Maybe the average will increase as the month goes on. DBD has steadily seen growths of about 3-4k in this month up until now. Who knows maybe it will average a lot higher by the end of march but using feb its 5k, 3k, 4k, 12k, 1k still a significant drop in the growth of the game.
